..30 minutes to commencement of dinner ….Ladies and gentleman, honoured guests, thank you for coming to
Bride & Groom'swedding dinner reception tonight. The reception is scheduled to start in another half an
hour from now. Meanwhile, sit back and relax. Enjoy the soothing music courtesy of the
BrideLadies and gentleman, I hope you noticed that there are small pieces of
paper cards nicely put on your table. You can pen messages, greetings and wishes for
our newlywed couples on the cards. Pencils are provided on the table too. For those who
would like the couple to perform tonight, please do write down your request on the same
piece of card. We will come and gather these cards during the dinner. Before the end of
the dinner, we will read out some of the well wishes dedicated to the couple and
hopefully we get them to perform some of your requests.
..Entrance of the Bride and Groom….I am MC1, your emcee for tonight. I am accompanied by my pretty and bubbly
companion, MC2 (well, second prettiest after the bride). We are both the groom’s cousin.
It is indeed an honour to be up here today for this beautiful reception.
Ladies and gentleman, it’s time for us to start the wedding dinner reception tonight. Can
I invite all the guests to stand and usher in our newlywed Bride & Groom. Bride &
Groom please!!
..Couple ushered in and seated….A beautiful bride accompanied by a handsome groom. What an envy and admiration! A
marriage made in heaven. You agree with me?
I hope most of our guests have filled in the cards on the table. For those who have just
arrived, may we invite you to fill in your greetings and wishes for our lovely couple on
the cards provided on each tables. Thank you.
Ladies and gentleman, food is a very important element in our culture. We are
what we eat. A full stomach is the essence of happiness as an empty stomach maketh an
angry man. So, without making all our guests more hypoglycaemic, we will invite the
waiters and waitresses to serve the first dish of this nine course dinner. Bon appétit!

Introducing the newlywed (after 2courses) ….Ladies and Gentlemen, we are up here again. How is the dinner? Hopefully it satisfies
your palate. We hope that it also stimulates all the five different taste buds in your
tongue.
While all of us are enjoying the dinner, let us introduce you to the newlywed couple.

..Cutting cake….The bride and groom are now going to proceed with the cake cutting ceremony followed
by the opening of champagne. Let us have our bride and groom on the stage.
Cutting cake is a symbolism of all marriages. The pureness and roundness of the cake
expresses the union of the couple, progression of career and a bountiful live.
..Champagne….The flowing champagne signifies the continual prosperity and round-the-clock wellness
to this newlywed.
..Exchange of Toast…. The moment they exchange their
drinks, they express their loves toward each other in a very loving way.
..Toast….Now, we would like to call upon the family of the couple to accompany the newlywed for
the toasting ceremony.
The first toast goes to the bride and groom:
Let us wish them a happy and everlasting marriage!
The second toast goes to the bride and groom as well:
We wish well that they succeed in their career and to have their offspring!
