gusto kong itie up itong travel agency sa itatayo kong studio. For starter ba pede akong magoffer muna ng online ticketing?
panu yung process ng dfa at nso? pede ba akong makipagtie up sa inyo?, cavite area lang po.
bukod sa travel packages at tours, [textspeak!] pa [textspeak!] additional na pedeng idagdag na services sa field na ito. Gusto ko lang kasing tumaas yung traffic sa loob ng shop ko para makilala agad.

Natapos din sa bavkreading! Now im beginning to learn more things sa biz na ito. Thanks to all of you.. I have questions lang for our sissies who have successfully started their TA biz. I plan to have have mine as a HOME BASED kasi may baby pa ako. After ko matutunan pasikot sikot dito, then maybe and hopefully makapagpatayo ng office

1. So if home based kailangan pa din ng biz permits?
2. Pwede ba ako pumunta sa different Travel agencies to be their home based agents? Do i have to pay them for their tieups or usually willing naman sila? 
3. Can i make my own tour packages and then sa ticketing ay sa ka tieup ko?
4. Paano ang bayaran sa credit card? How will i know asap na nabayaran na ako?? Do i have to go lagi sa bank? (sorry, for this st*pid question. Haha!)
5. Do i really have to have a fax machine and landline?

4. Paano ang bayaran sa credit card? How will i know asap na nabayaran na ako?? Do i have to go lagi sa bank? (sorry, for this st*pid question. Haha!)- Me fees involved ito kasi you need to rent or purchase the terminal tapos need mo mahabang pisi as matagal minsan nagbayad ang company.

5. Do i really have to have a fax machine and landline?- Optional ito as majority ngayon online na at CP ang mode of communication

Follow up question lang sis..
 1. Ano mas ok, maghanap muna ng ka tieup then dun magasikaso ng biz permits or the other way around??
2. May mga travel agencies ba na naghihire ng home based na travel agent? Para di na kailangan ng biz permit? Parang employee nila ako but may commission for every flights and tours na maipapasok ko?? If yes, pwede bang different agencies ako under?

Companies will only negotiate with if you have the necessary permits and registrations. So kung talagang gust mo ng ganitong business, yun ang dapat unahin mo.

about number 2- yes pwede, referral agents ang tawag dun. Usually no salary, just commission. Although ok lang na affiliated ka with different companies, mas ideal na isa lang para walang conflict of interest saka most agencies, ayaw nila ng ganun, kasi syempre gusto nila sa kanila ka lang magbibigay ng clients.

plan ko homebased lang muna,  kaya lang yung supplier na nakausap ko i need to pay a certain fee para may sarili akong access sa cebu pac at zest air pero home based lang din sya in this case mejo na confuse nako then nag try ako magtanong pabook int'l deadma ang resa nya. inshort nag alangan ako kaya  pending plan ko.

@baisanan. Anong fee yung hinihingi niya? Naconfuse din ako. Kasi diba may onlibe naman talaga na schedules and price ang mga airlines?? Or iba pa yung sinasabi niya?

^ eto ata yung tinatawag na amadeus e, iba yung set up pag travelling agents ang nagbobook kesa sa simpleng nag-book ka lang, alam ko mas mura nila nakukuha yung mga seats.

referral agent lang din kasi ako, pero okay yan kung inoofferan kayo nyan, pwede ka ng ikaw mismo mag-book sa client mo.

yap sis ..pag travel agent kasi as u notice sa web ng cebu pac meron silang log in at pw....at yun ang ibibigay once na magbayad ako. ok naman sana ang offer kaya lang in terms of service kasi nila una pa lang na dissappoint nako.though im stil interested...mas cheaper ang price ng travel agent and a day before alam na nila agad ang seat sale kaya pag up sa public sold out na agad kasi naavail na agad nila iba pa ang abacus/ amadeus na kelangan aralin. pero kung local destination lang kahit later nalang yan.

nung nagparegister ba kau sa BIR, vatable [textspeak!] reg nyo or non-vatable? magkanu ang tax na ibibigay natin sa BIR sa bawat sales natin if ever meron for tours and travel?online ticketing?

sorry to disappoint you mga sis, pero di na uso ngayon yung me discount sa ticket kapag travel agent ka, same na lang rin ang price nya katulad ng nakikita nyo sa website ng cebu pac and other airlines. Ang difference lang is mas nauunang nalalaman ng mga travel agents kapag me seat sale. Very few IATA registered travel agencies offers discounts sa tickets now, and usually international flights lang at sa sobrang liit,  . Amadeus & Abacus are just systems to help you search for the cheapest and most convenient flights, ke meron o wala ka nun di apektado ang presyo ng tickets, what you pay for is the convenience and efficiency at syempre mas mabilis ang paghanap ng cheap airfares.

May alam ba kayo na seminar na one day lang? Di kasi pwede sa akin yung sa tlr na 3 days.. Walang maiiwan sa baby ko. Pashare naman kung may alam kayo.. TIA!

@ sis baisanan, ang babayaran mo ata eh access sa cebu pac and zest air. if  you can see sa mga web sites nila may sariling access ang mga travel agent.

sa case ko naman, wala akong binayaran. i just pay a minimal fee dun sa katie-up ko every time magtiticket ako ng cebu pac and zest air. Sa cebu pac if you will notice may web admin fee kang babayaran pag nagbook ka sa kanila online (80 per pax per sector). If you will use the travel agent portal, 50% off ito so dun pa lang may kita ka na. Dati nga wala talagang web admin fee na pinapatong sa travel agent, lately na lang sila naningil din.

Sa zest air naman, i paid a minimum of  5thou sa katie-up ko pero yun eh consumable meaning i can use it to pay for the tickets, plus may 3% rebate. minimal fee din ang bayad ko sa katie-up ko for every booking.

pero sa totoo lang, sakit sa ulo ang ticketing. maliit lang ang kita pero mas mabusisi  ka sa details.

 case in point, i recently booked a cebu pac flight for my clients. Aba mga 4 hours prior to their flight, i received an email from cebu pac na nacancel yung flight due to aircraft trouble. Buti na lang gising na ako ng madaling araw at nagchecheck na ako ng emails at 5 am. I was able to talk to their resa at naparebook ko sila ng later flight. I called my clients at naadvise ko sila of the changes. Akala ko tapos na. Hindi pa pala. I got a call from my client na sinasabi daw ng nasa check-in counter na ididivert daw sila sa Kalibo eh panong mangyayari yun eh umaga palang eh inassure nila ako na may available seats pa at nagsend pa sila sa akin ng bagong itinerary receipt. Ang nangyari pala eh di man lang nagcheck yung nasa check-in counter sa system nila. She just look at the original itinerary receipt(wala nanag time yung guest para iprint pa yung nasend ko na bago hours before) at nakita niya na 930 am yung flight(the cancelled flight)  kaya automatic na sinabihan niya yung clients namin na ididivert yung flight nila to Kalibo (most of the passengers ata eh dinivert nila). Ayun nung finally nagcheck siya ng system eh nakalagay naman pala yung names ng guests namin dun sa later flight. Kaasar di ba.

So ngayon, nagcoconcentrate na lang ako sa mga land/tour arrangements. although i still book some of the flights of my clients pero i give them the option of making the booking themselves online. That way nakatipid sila kasi di ko sila sisingilin and less hassle for me. hehe

dapat ata may thread din dito ang mga travel agents on how stressful the business could be.

at ms_simone...lol..yes stressfull nga. Since I started ilan na yung na encounter ko na nagpa book na tapos after mo i book and all, kapag oras na ng bayaran eh biglang ayaw na because of 101 reason. Sa akin lang ok lang naman na mag ikot and shop around for the lowest price. Pero wag naman yung magpapa-book tapos uurong kasi me nakitang mas mura sa iba. Kasi kapag nasa booking stage na, yung agent has already made reservations with the hotel and other service providers. Nasisira sila sa mga suppliers nila kapag laging ganun.  :-(

Kaya nga ngayon iniisip ko kung mag concentrate na lang ako sa wholesale ng tour packages eh, at least yung mga kausap ko eh travel agency rin.

Sabi nga ng kapatid ko nasobrahan daw ata ako ng kain ng pacencia cookies....kailangan eh kasi sa business na ito bawal ang pikon at dapat laging me baon na pasensya at sense of humor. :-)

Sa mga nag start pa lang tulad ko, lalo na yung ngayon pa lang makakaranas mag business kahit na ano pa ang business nyo, yan ang wag nyo iiwanan sa bahay bago kayo lumabas, pasensya at sense of humor at syempre instinct and common sense. Lahat ng business masarap na mahirap. Pero in the end mas lamang naman lagi ang masaya
