mga sis around how much ang average monthly net income ng agency niyo? para atleast alam ko rin kung magkano dapat ang target ko at baka naman masyado ko tinataasan ang quota ko sa sarili ko. hehehhe

@batang isla, you need to go first to DTI in Trafalgar and fill up a form as application for ship broker. Bring ka na ng Police Clearance para di ka na bumalik then magbabayad ka lang sa cashier dun. Then yung certifcate na iissue just bring it to the DTI office kung san ka mag register and kukuha ng permit Just say na your opening a travel agency alam na nila agad gagawin

Your average net income will depend on your monthly expenses:) So hindi naman masasagot yan for you Kung matipid ka naman madali mo mababawi mga gastos mo so the rest of the month may income ka na agad Depende na sa diskarte mo

@lysa- i agree with you. depende sa diskarte yung net income mo per month. meron din peak at low season. at saka depende din sa overhead cost mo. hindi pare-pareho e.

Kaka-inspire naman business venture nyo in setting up a travel agency.

Me too want sana to try it ... kaso parang hindi pa ganun kasapat ang money to have one bonggang travel agency eh ... ask lang panu [textspeak!] like my case want to start (starters) that don't have enough budget on this ... ano ang mapapayo nyo bilang panimula? Pede ba akong mag-agent / online VA muna?

Please help and enlighten me as well as our other sisses.

^^^ Sis kung ano lang muna ang kaya mo dun ka magsimula. Kung anong kasya sa budget yun na lang muna. If hindi mo pa kaya magsimula ng physical office start by helping potential clients pwede mong irefer sa existing travel agencies para makakuha ka ng experience Pag may funds at enough knowledge ka na then you can start to grow.

sisses paano ba magpaaccredit sa mga irlines para sa ticketing (is there such a thing)? saka sa dfa and embassies for passport and visa processing? madugo ba yun?

^^^^matetreyes, pagmagpapa acredit ka for ticketing dapat IATA ka na Dun lang sila pumapayag pag international For other airlines naman na local may cash bond na kailngan like for AirPhil Express it's P50K

For the DFA and embassies may bond din yung sa DFA for passporting and sa ibang embassies mag apply ka na [textspeak!] Liason office mo ma accredit

Madaming nag o offer ng cheap seminars tungkol sa travel agency, pero later on you'll find out na it's a networking pala.

She's right, lalo na yung nakapost sa Manila bulletin ads every Sun at yung speaker matandang lalaki.
If you plan to enroll at PAL main office for ticketing lectures, wala silang hands-on ,puro manual computation of routes, just a waste of 15,000+fee.
btw, i couldnt remember if abacus or amadeus ang may quota every month for bookings,at may penalty if di nakaabot sa sales. Unless you have good corporate connections or gov't connections, stressful talaga with competitions and biddings.

Hi! I was working in a travel agency in the Philippines for 3years before i resigned to work here in Dubai in one of the construction company. Abacus yung system na ginagamit namin before nakapag basic course training na rin ako sa kanila..
Now tanong ko lang po kung nagbibigay ng traing and Abacus for non travel agency employee gusto ko kasing mag training ng ticketing sa kanila pag uwi ko dyan sa january... And also sa Amadeus nag oofer din ba sila ng training for basic course? Plano ko po kasing mag apply sa mga travel agency dito sa dubai so mas competitive kung may background training ako sa mga travel systems.

Ma-tao ba itong Travel Agency?  I mean, puntahin ba ng tao?  May client kasi ako, gusto nya kumuha ng condo unit para sa Travel Agency nya, pwede naman daw sabi ng boss ko, pero kailangan by appointment lang ang client ng Travel Agency, so as visitors lang tatanggapin ng condo yung clients kunwari.
