if you have an existing broadband, either you have to buy it or get a new subscription plan (once approved, get your other line cut)...

^^sis I got mine as a retention plan. kaka 2 years lang kasi ng sun broadband ko so they offered me the pocket wifi for retention. okay naman sya. connected ako kahit nasa byahe.

sis bratinella: thanks. yung pinost mo, yun din sinabi sakin. pero bundled daw. so parang additional sya in case di ko i-give up existing broadband ko. nagdadalawang isip pa rin ako kasi baka di ganun kalakas signal. but i like their offer best kasi unlimited na unlike sa smart 50 hours lang 2yrs holding period pa.

sis freelancer: mag 2-years pa lang ako sa august pero di naman ako naka-tie up sa kanila, walang holding period broadband ko. bali pocket wifi na lang gamit mo, wala na yung broadband mo? alin mas ok signal, broadband o wifi or same lang?

^^sis parang same lang naman yung sa signal. nasakin pa din yung usb na broadband pero binigyan nila ko ng bagong unit yung pocket wifi nga.. pero yung sim card is yung dati oa din.

nakakainis naman ang sun ngaun... postpaid na nga gamit ko sobrang bagal pa... almost a month na mabagal then nung bumagyo, lalo bumagal, konting move lang napuputal na connection, dati din kahit saan nagagamit ko sya ngaun hindi na may specific places lang dito sa room na may signal...kakainis...

Hi mga sis,

I know this might be a bit out of topic pero I just wanna ask kasi I have a postpaid 799 PLan na ngayon sa Sun broadband. Since I'll be going to school ulit this school year, I might not get the "full benefits" ng unlimited internet unlike when I was still on a vacation mode.

IS sun's prepaid internet good enough or mas affordable yung sa ibang networks like sa Globe and Smart?

In fairness medyo bumilis ang connection ko, i filed a complain report kasi sa mismong sun shop na, parang walang use kasi ang customer feedback sa site nila and yung sa fb page, kung ano-anong troubleshoot pa papagawa wala naman nangyayare ganun pa din, check daw nila bakit ganun wala naman daw maintenace whatever... samantalang sa mismong sun shop ang sabi sa akin ipaparefresh daw nila yung connection sa location namin... and now, medyo bumibilis na sya uli...

they are offering the huawei S7 tablet at plan 999 with call and surf, 24-30months lock-in period. Im not buying but im curious about reviews and feedbacks.
July pa daw merger finality, before they told us its this month of June.

im currently using globe tattoo usb stick, i want to switch to a myfi unit since nagkakaprob ako sa mac ko for some reason. dati naman nung pc pa ako (using the same stick) wala naman ako prob. i inquired sa sun, cos parang mas mura siya than globe for postpaid(having the same lock-in of 2 yrs). i went yesterday sa sunshop, you can borrow a unit for P1500 to test if malakas in your area, then after 5 days, you can return it, then they will refund you. wala naman kasi sila free trial thing, so yun daw yun. im torn kasi if i should get a globe or sun, kasi may promo din ang globe with the swatch gcs.

how did you go about with changing your sun subscription from the sun usb to sun pocket wifi?

mga sis,
1.please enlighten me naman kung ano benefits ng sun pocket my wifi?
2.how does that work, yung pinapakita nila na maliit na device na yun yun lang ba bilhin mo?
3.when you say na Ph799 ang sun my wifi...magadd ka pa ba ng bayad for the modem? para saan ba yun?
4. If meron na ko Ph799 per month postpaid sun usb internet, how can i switch to my wifi? wala bang trial period kung malakas siya sa area namin?

^1. more than 1 user could use the connection

meaning, you could share the connection... if it's just the usb, then only one user could use the connection

2. if you avail the plan, you get it for free but there's a lock in period. if you will buy just the pocket wifi, you could buy it in computer shops so that it's not locked to sun

3. if you avail the plan 799, that's it. no need to pay for the modem

4. there's no trial period... if you avail the plan, either you get the usb or the pocket wifi... not both

thanks so much sis for enlightening me! baka magswitch na lang ako from sun usb to sun my wifi. hehe! gusto ko kasi manigurado na bago ko ipacut ang sun sub internet postpaid ko, ok na ang wifi hehe ..

^mas cheaper pa rin pala pag sa sun, globe or smart ka bumili for the wifi modem. yun nga lang may holding period yung iba. pero pag prepaid, alam ko 5k lang babayaran.

ang lakas ng signal ng sun broadband sa davao. kahit san ata ko magpunta, well mostly sa city. pati sa airport malakas signal ng sun broadband ko. pag uwi ko dito sa manila, ang hina na. bumabagal na naman sun connection ko...

^yup but it is locked with the TELCO (though you could unlock it naman)... you could also look for other stores like sa Gilmore, it might be cheaper
