^ finally, was able to try this out. we had the agent bring a sample modem to our house. he left it to us on a "trust" basis for overnight use..dont know if this is the SOP.. but we tried it out the whole night. tried it again sa umaga. maganda yung connection..kasing bilis ng internet cafe sa baba namin..

we decided to subscribe na to the easy broadband package. you just pay for the modem now re-priced at 1895 from 2500..plus one month advance fee of 799..no lock-in period.

sana tuloy tuloy na ito! btw, we're in the ortigas/mand area..

^Kainis, after namin kumuha ng easy broadband eh nagbaba sila ng price ng modem after ilang days lang.

wow, mababa na pala.. okay connection ko dito sa las pinas. dinala ko rin sa bacoor, ok ang connection kahit edge ang signal.

^it depends on your area. we tried to arrange a house visit/trial from market market, they referred us to the other one in robinson's pioneer cos we're here in ortigas/mandaluyong area..

im using the sun broadband right this minute..so far so good after Day 2

i've been experiencing bad connection for roughly 2 days now. super slow as in .. .4/kbps to zero. ni hindi maka-open ng YM . i called their hotline sabi 24- 3 days turn around time, kamusta naman. andito ako sa isa pang bahay namin, ganun din kagabi pero ngayon okay na. ewan ko lang pagbalik ko ng tayuman.

update lang:
it's been 5 days now of uber bad connection ganun pa din, masuwerte na na maka 1 kbps. been calling their hotline everyday since march 13. parepareho sagot. at habang tumatagal eh napipikon ako ng napipikon sa mga sagot nila. saturday and sunday eh hindi daw kasali sa turn around time, hindi nila ako ma aassure for a rebate at escalated na daw ang issue. puro ganun.

pero in fairness hindi ako masyado nagaantay sa hotline. siguro kasi early ako kung tumawag.

i just got my sun broadband. used it in makati and balintawak, qc. both areas ok ang connection. hirap lang kase you have to dial-up pa. nasanay kase sa globe broadband na always on.

^hi sis, did have same experience w/the connection previously. I did call several times as well with their hotline, [textspeak!] rin silang nagawa. Last Sunday, went to their branch @ SM North and sabi sa akin dapat naka "WDCMA only" daw yung Network type, kasi nung time na dinala ko nka "WDCMA preferred" ayun ok na connection ko ulit.

been using this for two weeks straight. oki naman. hsdpa ang connection dito sa makati area.

pero mnl area lang to? so pag uwi ko sa province this april, wala ako net connection? huhuhuh
