i like mine well done.. ayoko ng pinkish pa yung meat.. but my mom, since she's based in France, like hers na medium rare. but kailangan pagkahango eh kainin agad para hindi yucky kainin yung medyo bloody pa.

medium well to well done -- gusto ko medyo tostado yung exterior eh

i cook steak at home at least once a week, just like yesterday. that's why we don't usually order steaks in restaurants anymore because my homecooked steak is super yummy, modesty aside. the meat is of excellent quality--USDA prime grade. very tender and yummy!

^Joy, if you don't mind - where do you buy the meat for the steak? I wanna try preparing it at home din kasi, but have no idea where to get great meat for that...thanks!  :)

irene, it's not available locally eh. our generous "sponsor" regularly imports the meat from hong kong in bulk and gives us a steady supply (almost one year na!). we've tried the ribeye from santi's and it's very tender also, but the cut is very thin. parang bistek pag naluto. dapat siguro ikaw magpa-slice sa santi's para mas okay. 3/4 of an inch yata ang standard thickness. you can also try the freezer section of cash & carry makati, may magaganda silang cuts doon. :)

^thanks a lot Joy! i might try looking at the meat cuts din sa S&R since it's a bit close to where we live. pag wala, will go to Cash & Carry ;)
