Aw.. di complete sa Sesou. Ang products lang nila last time, Fem soap, honey glycerin soap ata yun, tapos yung pang polish sa wood? Parang ganun lang. Wala silang charcoal soap. That time kasi yun ang hinahanap ko. Tapos, I visited their stall last Tuesday yata, ubos na fem soap nila.

bought a number of IM products today for the first time. first i tried is the lip balm, it does feel soothing on the lips and i like it that it glides on smoothly without the heavy sticky residue. bought the shampoo, honey and milk soap, propolis, and honey as well.

i bought lipbalm, propolis ointment and throat spray the other day..
i like the minty feel of the lipbalm, hindi pa naman nagda-dry lips ko so i cant attest pa if effective to sa chapped/windburned lips.
the ointment naman and throat spray di ko pa nagagamit.

shelf life? i read it from their website and found this:

What is honey’s shelf life?
About 3,000 to 5,000 years. The honey stored in the pyramids was eaten by the invading armies of Napoleon.

What is its shelf life? Propolis has a very strong anti-oxidant property. Bees use it to embalm insects that have entered the hive that they have stung to death. Insects and whole lizards are embalmed in propolis and do not decay; they are mummified.

Propolis was also an essential ingredient for mummification in Egypt; in the ancient Book of the Dead.

A propolis mixture was used by the famous luthiers Antonio Stradivari and Pietro Giovanni Guarneri. This mixture has preserved their violins since the 1600’s.

Propolis is a preservative in itself. It does not spoil

===================================

also this:

SHELF LIFE:

    * Beehive Products: honey, pollen, propolis, beeswax and royal jelly all co-exist in beehives at 99 degrees centigrade and about 100% relative humidity. These products are collected, harvested & secreted by honeybees for their own use. They will remain viable and super-active if kept with the bees in the beehive. Bees continually maintain these products for their own use – indefinitely.
    * Honey. Honey will keep for thousands of years, if harvested “ripe” or with a moisture content of below 19 %. After harvest, it is best to bottle it airtight. Honey absorbs moisture and it will absorb moisture from the air if the bottle is left open. When the moisture content of honey rises above 20%, it begins to ferment. It will be best to keep honey in a cool dark place. Pollen grains will tend to rise to the surface because we never filter our honey. Our honey will darken with time because its fructose content degrades. This is normal and harmless. Our sunflower, sesbania and mango honey granulates, this is also normal.
    * Pollen. We collect bee pollen in special pollen traps mounted at the entrances of our beehives. This fresh pollen has a high moisture content. We carefully clean the pollen of hive debris and slowly air dry it. We then pack it immediately. Pollen will only spoil if repeatedly exposed to wet air or if it is brought in and out of a freezer or ref repeatedly. It gets moist. Under normal circumstances, our pollen will keep three months.
    * Propolis. Propolis is a natural preservative. It will last indefinitely. We immerse propolis which we collect from our beehives in organic coconut brandy for about one year. We then decant the liquid portion – this is propolis gold. Over time, some wax and resins of the original propolis will settle on the bottom of the bottle. This is normal.
    * Royal Jelly. We harvest royal jelly fresh from artificial queen cells in specially prepared “queenless” beehives. We immediately freeze it to preserve all of its goodness. When you buy or order royal jelly, it can travel, but of course it will melt. When you get home, freeze it immediately. Next day, you can put it in your chiller for use. If you buy more than one jar, keep the rest in the freezer until you are about to use each jar. Royal jelly will keep for two years as long as it remains frozen.
    * Honey Cider Vinegar. We call this product “cider” because it is incompletely fermented honey vinegar. It will slowly ferment in storage to a strong, full vinegar – balsamico. When it gets to this stage, you will notice that a gel has formed on the surface and a dark precipitate has formed. You may filter this full vinegar through a cloth and use it for “sawsawan”. To accelerate the formation of balsamico, uncap the bottle and replace the cap with a loose cloth or cotton ball.
    * Soaps. If you buy a lot of soaps, put them amongst your clothes. The reason we do not wrap some of our soaps is to let them breathe and cure. Putting them amongst your clothes will achieve this and allow them to cure properly. They will last longer in use, this way.
    * Shampoos and Spa products. These are good for about half a year. They will still be good after about six months, but it will be best to buy them fresh.
    * Throat Spray. If you buy more than one bottle, put the rest in your ref. Waxes and resins in the propolis will “go out of solution” in time. This is normal.

BOTTOMLINE: almost no expiry sila, kaya yung iba, hoard ng hoard :) yung liniment ko, 3.5 years 'old' na sa akin :P

siguro nga lang, hiyang hiyangan din sis :)

so far, quite satisfied with all products. the honey and milk soap, i even use on my face and i notice it improved my facial skin, makes the skin brighter somewhat. yung royal jelly urgh di nga sya masarap, parang slightly wasabe-ish ang tapang, but i'm still going to consume the entire thing small jar. yung bee propolis ang galing mag alis ng post-nasal drip. as some of you have observed, the shampoo does make the hair go matigas and scalp greasy-ish. but when i used it with a commercial conditioner, maganda na effect nya. and of course i am so loving the honey.

@ Grayce, thanks sis :) i will.. mag order na lang ako thru online pra ma-purchase ko, i've been wanting to have one and try it for myself. Magaganda ang mga nababasa kong feedbacks sa mga soaps nila.

Na try ko rin Ilog Maria's ToothPowder, at 1st nakakapanibago but then you'll get used to it dahil may minty effect then nalinis talaga ang teeth ko :D

ako i use kalamansi juice talaga ( about 4-6 slices, i have a very thick long hair).

thanks for this sis. i did as you said. pure kalamansi juice din ginamit ko, 6 big kalamansi. hehe.

i recently purchsed the Ilog Maria Fly Repellent spray. Suuuuuuuper galing. Ewan ko ba kung bakit nagkaoutbreak ng lamok samin pero nung ginamit ko na to, Tada! naglaho na sila ng parang bula. Our labandera can even attest to it kasi spray sya sa dulo ng clothes nya hindi talaga daw sya nilalapitan. I also bought the sting less  citronella mosquito repellent ayun fav na rin ng maid namin kasi hindi na sya pinapapak ng mga pesky lamok. I'm planning to stock on the fly repellent w/ spray ok talaga sya mga sis. Highlt recommended especially if u have kids at home.
