Re Hand-carry & check-in baggages

^^ depende din siguro kung ilan na dala mo. hand carry ko yan dati kasi isang camera bag at tripod lang dala ko. pero ngayon kasi may big backpack, camera bag, at tripod pa. goodluck sakin. parang ayoko na dalhin yung tripod. ang laki kasi.

hello mga sis, uwi ako from US to Pilipinas, balak kong magdala ng LED TV, new in box-22", kasya naman sa luggage bag ko(checked luggage)..ask ko lang kung hindi kaya masira yun in transit? and meron ba akong babayarang fee when I get to NAIA?

and I have a half bag full of chocolates, still in packages, marami talaga, ok lang ba yun, all in checked luggage.

as for carry on, I'll be bringing all my gadgets, laptop, camera, ipod, router (new in box), magic jack (new in box), and some clothes, and pair of shoes. Ok lang ba to bring that router and magic box sa carry on? thanks

^I don't think it'll get damaged. Just be sure to have a FRAGILE sign stick on that baggage. They won't ask you naman what's inside. Now, when you arrive in Manila, they will ask you to fill out a customs form. Don't declare that you have everything you have kasi they'll check it pa especially if you'll land in Terminal 1.


Sis, keep in mind na the things you put in your luggage is your call. Personally kung ano ano na nauwi ko everytime I'll fly. Thing is, syempre wag ka lang magdadala ng anything illegal. I was once able to bring chicharon, bagoong, Mang Tomas, Jufran, itlog na pula to Canada. I had a stopover in US pa ha.


Regarding your carry-on, if your laptop is heavy and you won't use it on your stopover or the cabin you'll be boarding is not equipped with a wifi, eh just check it in. Thing is, you would have to have your laptop scanned everytime you'll have a stopover. They would ask you to take it outside. Sobrang matrabaho. Believe me.


As of your other gadgets, sis you can bring your 22" TV as a carry on and no one would really care as long as it fits in the cabin storage and it weighs not more than what is allowed. You can bring anything but water or any form of liquid more than 100ml, me thinks, and other illegal items. Keep in mind that it also depends on your airline restrictions. You would have to be extra careful and cautious when flying with Delta/NWA.


Just want to share, once I went to Tokyo with a pack lunch with me that my future MIL made. It was Spaghetti with White Sauce. I thought I can't bring it but they let me. Ang dami kong security na nalagpasan ha and I flew with NWA at that time. Meaning you can also bring some snacks on your carry-on.

nagpabili po kasi ako ng 3 watches (Technomarine) sa US masisita po kaya yun pag nilagay sa baggage? magbabayad pa po kaya? pano po kung tanggalin na lang sa box yung relo pero dadalhin pa rin yung box dito magkakaproblema pa rin po ba iyun?

^ maki usap ka dun sa magdadala kung pwede i-handcarry nalang yun watches w/o the boxes... yung boxes nalang ilagay sa check-in,

pero kung wala ng space sa handcarry, ipag-hiwalay na lang yung watches sa mga bagahe. wag ipag-sama-sama sa isang bag.

Batangcute,pag dito sa ting customs,  no need to worry about that maliit lang ang watches eh.So pwede sya sa check in luggage nalang ilagay.  Isa pa di naman nila bubuksan ang bagahe unless kahina hinala talaga.

Been buying stuffs like these pero never pa naman ako nasita o ni ask to open my bagahe. When asked ano laman ng bagahe nya eh di sabihing mga damit nya at sapatos. =)

^ i agree with greenpease05... although customs make random inspection of bags at the airport here.

OC lang kasi ako when i pack my bags... nothing is loose. lahat naka vacuum bag sa loob ng bags ko...  pag similar items, ini-spread ko ng mga bags para in case na mawala yung 1 bag, meron pa rin matitira sa akin... plus little things can easily get stolen or left behind when bag inspection is done. so i make sure na things of value to me ($$$ value or sentimental value) are in my carry-on.

update lang, I already here sa Pilipinas, and my TV made it, hindi nasira sa transit, ni gasgas wala..Balik lang din ako ng US next month, I'll be flying Delta all the way. Sabi ni hubby wag raw ako magdala ng kahit anong food, baka raw kasi ma-question ako sa US customs. Ask ko lang, eto sana gusto kong dalhin sa checked luggage ko.. let me know kung pwede or hindi:

Goldilucks polvoron
packaged candies
pancit canton (mga 10 pcs)
Knorr sinigang powder mix

wall frame with glass
Steel metal na carved yung last name ko
liquids- shampoo, fem. wash, milk bath
book with guitar tabs (ok lang ba ilabas ng Phils yun?)
4 boxes of Marlboro lights cigarettes (bilin ni hubby)-- meron bang limit and Phil. custom dito?

for the cigarettes look at US cutoms regulation para dyan kasi may kanya kanya sila eh. Sa HK kasi isang rim lang allowed papasok.

mga sis di ko alam kung OT pero tanong ko naman kayo kung pwede ba sa airport ang mga toiletries. colognes, alcohol, tootpaste, shaver, nailcutter etc. ano ano ang bawal at pwede.
favor naman. first time mag out of country eh thanks ng marami

Pwede as long as hindi mag-exceed sa amount na allowed. What I do is I put it in small containers tapos I put label on them. Toothpaste kahit malaki hindi sinisita. They check my make-up like mascara and lip balms.

For liquids as long as it will not exceed 100ml per bottle okay lang. put it in a ziplock. Then bago ka magpa scan ng bag mo put it out na para kita na agad.

for clippers and shavers ang alam ko di pwede yan hand carry check na mo nalang sis. =)
