^yes sis, pwede.. 15kgs hand carry. we brought a back pack with some food, kasi nga no meals ang econolight.

nung pauwi, mw even brought take out food we bought inside the airport.

From my last trip sa Singapore, nung pauwi na ako... Before going to the airport tinimbang ko yung ichecheck-in luggage ko, lagpas sya ng 25kg. Pero sabi dun sa hotel, papayag naman daw yung SG Airlines kasi 30kg daw yung allowance. And when I got to the airport, ayun pumayag nga ng more than 25kg. Siguro kasi ang aga ko rin nag-check in at wala pa masyado nakakapagcheck in kaya pinayagan ako. Pero nung papasok na dun sa mismong gate na, d ako pinayagan kasi 3 yung handcarry ko. Although yung isa ko namang bag is yung sling bag lang na super liit na kasya lang ang passport at cellphone ko dun. Hindi pumayag at yung isa kong bag pinacheck-in sa akin.

Pero nung nasa loob na kami ng airplane, nakakita naman ako ng ibang passengers yung mga hand carry nila mga naka-wheel pa na bag... mini version... nagulat ako na pwede rin pala yung ganon. Kasi hindi naman sya mukhang hand carry e *lol* Anyways, first time ko rin naman kasi magtravel nun alone kaya wala pa talaga ako masyadong alam pag dating sa ganun... If I knew sana nagdala na lang din ako ng mini version or bumili ako ng medyo malaking bag para pinagkasya ko dun yung laman ng two other bags ko para hindi ko na chineck-in pa yung isa kong bag.

Just last January, I went to Hong Kong with my mom and we bought 3 packs of strawberries and other fruits. We didn't want to put it in our luggage kasi baka malamog so we just placed it in an eco bag. My mom had 2 carry-ons na. We thought di papapasukin pero we didn't have problems naman. BTW, we flew Cathay Pacific.

Just to update some here... At the check-in counter they weigh your carry-on after weighing your checked-in luggage.

We went to Macau via PAL the other week. This did not happen before. But I was forewarned by my sister who went to Macau the previous week with her husband..... On the flight to Macau -- no change.
BUT on the flight back to Manila -- true enough, after you put your check-in luggage on the conveyor belt and the weight registers ... the check-in PAL employee requests you to put your carry-on on top of your suitcase -- and then she puts a tag on the handle of the carry-on.

Not that I was in any danger of being overweight. After all, people go to Macau not to shop but to have R&R.

But I should keep that new practice of PAL in mind when we all travel to the US this May.

^^That's a long standing procedure of PAL. During my time at the check-in counters we were required to weigh handcarry bags to make sure they are within the allowable weight. They're probably being strict in imposing it nowadays since it can be another revenue stream.

question po.. kasi i am going to the Phil from australia, thru singapore airlines. e medyo puno na bagahe ko kaya plano ko bumili na lang ng ibang pasalubong sa duty free sa aus or sa singapore. ask ko lang kung example na checkin na bagahe ko, tapos dun na ko sa loob naghihintay, kung madami ba ako mabili sa duty free, wala bang prob yun sa excess baggage? since natimbang na yung bagahe ko. sisitahin ba ko during boarding?

Is it allowed to bring bottled mineral water as well as fruits, chocolates, coffee/creamer sachets, goldilocks products (for pasalubong) sa check-in baggage?

^sis, curious lang why are you bringing chocolates (unless they're Choc-Nuts), coffee/creamer sachets and Goldilocks products? Kasi yung umuuwi dito chocolates, coffee/creamer ang pasalubong nila. Then you also have Goldilocks there, unless yung pupuntahan mo walang Goldilocks store.

sis wag kana mag dala ng mineral water sa luob pag once na check in muna yung luggage mo kasi nung ng screening madame akong nakita mga bottled waters na confiscate nila...pag fruit sis lalo na kung fresh at may buto wag na kasi bawal yun, tyaka i-dedeclare mo sa form yung mga bit2x mo baka mag ka aberya pa...chocolate?bakit sis..madame naman pong chocolate dun pero kung chocnut lang naman pwede mo naman ipasok yung sa check in luggage mo kasi ako den ng dala den ako nun...sis wag kna mag dala ng coffee creamer kasi madame naman dun and may grocery's na halos tinda galing pinas...sis wag kna ren mag dala ng Goldilocks kasi meron nanaman nuon duon, unless gaya nung sabi ng ka sis naten kung sa area nila walang ganun na mabilhan...lalo na kung L.A. ang dame diyan... i think sis ask muna lang yung mga friend or relatives mo na talagang gusto nila na wala dun

The reason why I'm bringing sachets of coffee and creamer is because we're going to las vegas muna where we would be staying in a hotel for 4 days before we proceed to LA to meet and stay with our relatives.

This is my second time in vegas. During our first trip, we discovered na very expensive mag-coffee sa starbucks ($6)everyday eh its been a habit of me and my dad to start our day with coffee. Minsan we have coffee at least 2x a day, so I was thinking of bringing along some sachets of coffee and creamer kase sa coffee palang it eats up a lot of our food budget.

May alam ba kayo ng coffee shop cheaper than starbucks around mandalay? We are also thinking of including in our checked in baggage, around 5 bottles of mineral water. Ang mahal kaya nito sa vegas (a small bottle would cost $3 or $4). Para na rin makatipid kahit konti.

..kung hangat sa makakatipid eh gagawa talaga ng paraan...siguro mas ok kung check in muna lang sis yung mga coffee creamer, pero sis diba may free complimentary breakfast naman sa hotel, kahit watusawang coffee ka

about bottled water...no comment po kasi hindi ko pa na-try na mag check in ng bottled water...

so ang point of entry mo sis sa Nevada ba
