I'm a bit OC, too. I like everything labelled, kahit 'yung drawers. May drawer ako sa bedside namin, and each drawer is labelled para hindi mag-mix up 'yung mga laman. Isang drawer ang lahat ng coloring materials ko (I love coloring books!), another drawer naman ang writing items like pens and pencils, and so on. We also have a lot of organizers in our room, lahat naka-identify din 'yung mga laman. Even my cabinet is organized according to type of shirt/dress/jeans (pambahay, panglakad, with or without collar, etc). Kung puede lang, may walk-in closet kami para mas organized ang gamit namin!

I agree with Yannuh, dapat lahat ng gamit ibalik sa kalalagyan nila after gamitin. And dapat sa exact place niya and naka-ayos ang pagbalik.

Sa bathroom namin, ang general rule is to mop the floor after every use. So, even if you pee lang, dapat i-mop mo pa rin 'yung floor kasi madudumihan pa rin siya. Nasa side ng bathroom door ang mop, so madaling abutin.

My OC-ness just extends to

1. List and Sched of Duties-- I make schedules of what the helper should do Mon-Sun -- AM and PM.  The only reason why I did this is because whenever I have a new helper I do not want to explain anymore what she needs to do. It is just always on a list hung at the back of a kitchen cabinet.

2. Food Inventory -I run my kitchen resto style. When I do the groceries, the maid has to list down all the meats and some canned goods that were purchased. Then every time something is taken from the ref/freezer it has to be jotted down on the list, and indicated where it was used for. For example: ITEM/QTY Whole Chicken -- USED 1 Chicken for Tinola--- Then may DATE. This way, I know at all times without even opening my ref-- what I have in it and what I can have brought out for out  next meal.

That's about it really. I don't have a set menu, and I don't label my closet and drawers. I have certainly a lot to improve on when it comes to organizing my stuff.

Perhaps my next project will be, that I want to catalog all my silverware, and fine bone china that was passed down to me. These are antiques and have no replacements and cost a small fortune.

What really helps though is having a "mayordoma" who knows how the house is run. I am lucky the yaya of my son has been with our family for 25 years, and has taken care of my son since he was 1 year old. I am now remarried and will make her my mayordmoma when we move. I will let her be the one to train any other helpers we have. I will make her in charge or the entire staff.

^ The food inventory sounds like a good idea.  Do you have a template of what it looks like?
I want to do this but I don't have extra help at home so you know how it is.

I used to make sure the rooms are vacuumed everyday but i have to adjust here too just because i don't have help.

I'm a little bit of an OC too, like when I clean the house I would sanitize all, including the wall and ceiling. I would wash my hand everytime I would touch something including my own skin, so after taking a bath or shower, I would wash my hand because I just touch the towel to wrap myself.

Every first of the month ang general cleaning namin ng house angel ko, talagang lahat ng sulok ng house at area ng bahay malinis, I take care of the master bedroom, our Back, Rear and Front house area then garden while my house angel is sa kitchen, dining area, living area and kid's room. Sobrang pagod talaga pero worth it pag sobrang bango ng house, then every day linis parin ng house, then ako I check our house cleanliness every day kapag may hindi tama I call our house angel's attention.

Our Food Menu naka assign na daily we have a white board na nakalagay na what to cook, our fridge is complete na rin sa rekado, for any changes I inform her one day in advance.

Pantry Supplies, make sure hands on ako and not rely on our house angel ako pa rin nag manage  para sure ako walang shortage, ayoko kasi as much as possible bumibili ng tingi.

House Needs, every month kami ng house angel ko nag meeting and breifing kami kung ano mga need to buy para at least I can buy sa next time na we do groceries, pero most of the time alam ko na need to buy sa house kasi I check everything kahit sulok ng house namin, memorize ko ang laman ng house ko.

Cabinet, it is organized according to color and needs.

CR, every bath at gamit make sure na they need to clean the bathroom otherwise they are not allowed to use it.

Floor, pang linis ko ng floor namin is water diluted with fabric conditioner

Carpet, everyday clean up at hindi pwede may kahit kaunting butil ng kahit ano.

Mahigpit pinagbabawal mag suklay sa loob ng house.

Basahan namin sa house bawal din gamitin unless pamunas ng malinis na paa or tubig kung something ibang basahan na ang gagamitin at may designated na talaga na gagamitin.

Ganun lang sa house, ayoko rin ng maraming display at pag may nakapatung sa wall consoles hindi talaga pwede, so sanay family na hindi pwede patungan kahit sa ref or whatever..

Sa house namin may committee, for toys, school supplies, cabinet, and gadgets and more para pag may hinanap refer lang sa commitee.
