I'm OC at work but I am always working towards efficiency more than anything else. I'm a big fan of making things simpler.

I read the book One Year to an Organized Life and it did multiply my OCness 10x.

this is a very helpful thread. I have also created a simple hh/yaya manual and checklist para dko na kelangan ulit ulitin ang mga instructions ko. i think that is a good start for me in trying to keep our home on semi "auto-pilot"

grabe kelangan ko na talagang matuto sa mga OC dito sa paglilinis ng bahay. Yung in-laws ko laging my side comment kasi makalat daw bahay namin eh dadalawa lang naman daw kami mag-asawa. Wala pa kami baby. Hehe. Feeling ko kasi wala ko time kasi working kami pareho then sa gabi nag-g-gym pa kami so late na talaga kami umuwi, mga 10PM na. I don't want to give up naman yung pagggym para lang maglinis ng bahay. Sa umaga naman 6:30 ako gumigising para magluto pero di ko na nahaharap pa maghugas ng pinggan kaya sa gabi na ko na lang ginagawa pagdating ng bahay. 8:30AM kasi ang pasok ko at 1hr ang byahe ko papuntang office. Gusto ko sana makumpleto yung 8 hours of sleep at nagagawa ko pa rin yung household chores. madalas kasi 6 hours lang tulog ko at talagang groggy ako maghapon. Maliit lang naman yung house namin, mga 60 sqm tapos di ko pa ma-maintain. Inaamin ko naman na partly sinisisi ko husband ko kasi di sya cooperative masyado. Pero ako lang talaga siguro may kasalanan dahil di ako marunong mag organize. Gusto ko sana ipaayos yung bahay para may maayos na organizing cabinets etc kaso sa parents kasi yun ng husband ko at ayoko na gumastos ulit sa pagpapaganda ng di akin (nek nek nila). Gusto ko lang matuto ayusin sya, yung as in "livable" sya while dun pa kami nakatira. Help!

^sis if you don't know where to start, you might want to try FLYLady's Home management system. I'm currently using her system.

Like, I started it with shining the sink before I sleep, and every morning swish and swipe the bathroom, and they only last for just a few minutes.

And then sabi mo, you get to wash your dirty plates every night lang. Ako what I do, as advised by Flylady, I keep a dishpan. Dun ko lagay lahat ng dirty plates and cups. That way, hindi cluttered ang kitchen counter and sink ko.

They also have a mobile app para handy ang routines, weekly and monthly tasks mo.

I can't recall now -- I think Bed Bath & Beyond.  Hard plastic.   

 sarap tignan. parang display lang. asar lang kasi kapag kumuha na ng damit ang mga boys - nagiging kinalamay na yung cabinet. haist!

.  Don't fight it out.  If someone in the family does that -- I determine the reasons why kinakalamay. 
Hubby does it with his socks -- ah, so he knows by sight which are kinda loose -- so I throw those he puts aside away. Replace immediately. 
A kid chooses a pair of old pajamas all the time . So, -- I tell the yaya that once back fom the laundry -- put this pair on top always.
Another kid can't seem to decide which outfit combinations to wear -- so hang all tops & bottoms.

If talagang gabi  mo gusto gawin --  buy a bin with a tight cover wherein your plates, cookware, etc will all fit.  Soak your dirty stuff in water with dish washing liquid.   With the covered bin, you discourage pest infestation. 

(IF you are in the US or where dishwashers are de rigeur -- install 2: 1 you fill up with dirty  dishes until you accumulate a full load -- the other stores washed clean stuff. )

The most efficient closet system I have seen is & whatever approximates the ELFA system.   
Use 1 wall for both your closet requirements.  Another 1 can be put up for your kitchen & household stuff.   Pag lumipat ka, you can dismantle & bring with you.

i don't know if im oc pero everytime i touch something i will wash my hands or else i will not touch my own skin. i am not meticulous naman kasi i always buy at ukay pero yun lang talaga rule ko. let's say if im in a mall and im looking for clothes and may makati sa face ko or sa braso ko, di ko kakamutin not unless maghugas ako ng kamay. same din sa asawa ko i will tell him kung i-touch nya ako kung naghugas sya ng kamay. lol!

magstos din actually maganto kasi yo have to buy all those containers. kaya ako, one cabinet at a time. para hindi ako mabigla sa gastos. ang also, mas mura sa Japan Home. I recently organized our filing cabinet so namili ako sa National Bookstore. One time nadaan ako sa Japan Home, may mga ganoong items din sila at whole lot cheaper.

-After I wake up I always want my bed creaseless. everytime napapatingin ako sa bed and I saw a lukot inaayos ko agad. and I will never sit or lay on it the whole day. if I want an afternoon nap ill do it in the couch.
-clothes on hanger are arranged from light colored to dark. folded clothes arranged from what I have worn recently (what I do is yung kakalaba/kakasuot lang I put it below the stack)

If I don't feel like listening to any conversation or prefer mellow music, I play christian songs.

RE: Japan Homes, I love Japan Homes. Parang mas mura sya sa Saizen kasi sa Saizen all  are 85php even the small items.

OC ako sa mga spoon/fork, glass, at plate pag kakain. Gusto ko walang mga particles..pag di ako sure, hinuhugasan ko ng water..
Minsan nga nahihiya ako e, lalo na pag wala ako sa sariling bahay..baka ma offend yung may-ari. Pero di ko talaga mapigilan. lol.

Guys how long do you keep those boxes? I realized that the boxes from my printer scanner aircon etc are gathering dust and space. I am thinking of throwing everything away. i havent done it before so im worried i might regret it.

Aircon - tapos mo after a week, alam mo nang ok Takbo.  It is gonna be stuck to your wall, and you're not likely to store it.
Printer scanner - after a day at tested ok operations - discard.
