^^question: how do you fold/store pala all those maliliit na damit? i mean the tube tops, spaghetti, halter, etc. i do not have a lot of these tops but still hindi ko maayos ayos. plan ko nga wag na ifold eh and ilagay lang sa drawer. hehe.
Yes, that was a problem I recently solved. I have quite a lot, kasi it is a staple of my wardrobe. que naka mini, jeans, slacks, shorts... I usually have a jacket/ long or short sleeved top,, and so need an inner sleeveless, backless, halter or plain tube top kasi hay naku, in the Phils. sooner or later you will pop your outer top kasi mainit, or you wanna look sexier/social time na.
I bought 2 of those MUJI plastic drawers na left to right .. can accommodate 2 piles side by side of those little tops - folded. I bought 2 such plastic drawers and put them on top of each other. Tapos. in the top drawer -- all spags in 1 pile... folded and piled accdg to color. The 2nd pile beside it consists of spags in the color I have a lot of. As you can surmise, this top drawer contains the small tops I often use.
In the drawer below, I put in 1 pile mga samot samot na mga printed halters, tubes, etc... those that I own 1 or 2 or whatever of -- these are usually the small tops that are very casual and not versatile as those in the top drawer na puede for office, daily errands, labas with friends, casual dinners, etc. .
Then on the the other pile beside it are the strictly-for-evening (too sparkly /sexy for daytime use kasi hehe) small/inner tops which do not have a permanent outfit to go with (walang fixed set baga).
Now, these 2 drawers I put in a closet that is supposed to accommodate dresses/long skirts. Pwes, I hang my outer tops (madami akong jackets/suit tops of different styles & different sleeve lengths & different fabrics/prints that can be mixed matched with slacks & minis for the office, jeans and shorts too for casual lakad. Hang accdg to color not sleeve length/print) and put the drawers under.
So it becomes easy. If say I decide to wear a certain color of skirt and want to use this or that jacket to go with it... it is easy for me to locate and get an appropriate inner top.
(my bottoms are in a separate closet -- sorted/hang accdg to kind: slacks on one side; jeans vs shorts vs skirts. Sub-sorting/category: accdg to color.)
Ngayon, como this closet is wide, it can accommodate another pair of top & bottom drawers of Muji. So, hehe, I have 2 pairs of these side by side. The other top drawer contains my bras. Eh medyo malandi this friend of yours KAIZ, iba iba mga bra styles and colors... so, hindi basta pick up a colored bra if your top is white di ba. hehe
So again, the bras are sorted out according to 1st: color (madami beige., for me; then blacks) -- these are arranged facing me when I slide open the drawer.
The bottom drawer of course contains those I use seldom like the strapless bras, the kinky bras, the bras bought in a moment of kalandian, lol... gets mo na yon. hehe
My husband raised his eyebrows when he saw the 4 Muji drawers but knew better than to make a comment. Kasi under all that, meron pa akong 4 spacious drawers -- yun talagang built-in. Our closets are really gorgeous, custom made with solid narra. Pero, well, eh ano kung kabitan ko ng Muji plastic if my life is easier.
In those custom built drawers under... I put, folded, my light sweaters, cardigans, cashmere tops -- I travel a lot di ba, or well like nowadays, lusot na rin cashmere short sleeved tops dito sa Pinas (crazy weather),. And mga talagang bihira kong gamitin na tops kasi bling bling bling or masisilaw ang kalabaw sa kintab... lol... sorted accdg to my logical use -- yung madali ma locate.
Now mind you, meron tayong mga outfits na talagang sadyang must go together di ba. i have suits like that, or some dresses na talagang the components eh hwag mong gamitin sa iba or else you will encounter grief when you gotta use that set. Kahit na maliit the inner top -- I store it hanging (with those clips you get with some of your clothes from the dry cleaner, if necessary) inside the main outfit -- parang pang gagamitin ko, the whole set is there complete ready to use. These sets are in a different closet.
I hope I have been of help. The thing is, que madami or ilan lang yan, keep it folded so easy to locate and ready to use. It is also easier if these are kept near where you consider which outer top you will use.
OC nga ako, I cannot stand a closet or drawer or cabinet na pag binuksan eh susko, parang mga ahas ang mga clothes or accessories. or hate ko talaga yung mga nahuhulog sa hangers tapos yung hangers eh nagkanda sabitsabit... grrr type ko saksakin whoever with a hanger. bad, very bad.
