Things you enjoy about living away from home

This is an opposite of the other discussion. Positive side naman about leaving overseas.

Let me start:
- more family bonding
- learning a new language
- gaining new friends
- exploring a new place
- building a new comfort zone
- higher salary

apart from learning a new language, i love the fact that i discover new things, many things, about the culture of my host country, the host country itself, the world in general, and most of all, myself.
what else?
- a working transportation system
- a working social welfare system
- a working political system
- a society that is not bound by strong religious connection

--paperless society - I enjoy online banking and shopping as well.

Being Independent

siguro yung wala masyadong nakikialam sayo in terms of how you run your home, your life..

-Financial freedom because of better pay
-Seeing the rest of the world
-Appreciating your family more since you're away from them

almost the same reply with afea and of course freedom to do whatever you want.. alam mo yun walang nagdidikta kung ano ang dapat mong gawin.. you are in control!

My husband and I get to decide on our own.. Sa pinas kasi wala kami sariling bahay, nakikitira kami sa in-laws ko or my parents, kaya ngyon nasa abroad na kami solo na namin lahat, wlang nakiki-alam at walang pakikisamahan...

Big Pay.. We get to but things we like.. And eat foods we love.

No hassles in transportation..

Pero what I like about living away from home -

walang bwisit na gobyerno, pulis, buwaya, magnanakaw, holdupper, mandurukot, kung ano anong gang, snatcher, street children, squatters.

Transportation - sobrang convenient, at hindi madugo ang traffic.

1.living independently-i learned how to be handy with fixing smalll stuff at home.

2.gaining new friends-appreciating the cultural diversity

3.learning new language-the better u get along with co-workers.

4.i do have nosy neighbors here,to my surprise.these are guys,ha! they can't handle a filipina living independently-sadly,akala nila sa pinay lagi na lang DH.but for me,that's a plus.why?it proves them that their common notion is dead wrong.

5. tax-free salary and higher pay,of course!

6. the food-so many cuisines to  enjoy.i love arabic
    food preferably lebanese of course

7. the shopping-i'm not saying pinoy brands are not good.they are.kaya lang maraming brands ang mas mura kung tutuusin pag binili mo sa labas kesa loob ng bansa natin.may tax na kasi  ;)eh

"anonymity"/privacy - i can go to the mall, banks, etc w/o bumping into or being bothered by someone who knows me...

which leads to another thing that i enjoy about living away from home...

dressing down - i can be in plain white t/s and jeans and im all set to do my biz for the day. 

online shopping - i can be in my pj's and still able to buy the stuff i want/need.

tivo and shopping - should i say more? hehe
