I do not recommend petroleum jelly for the eyelids or underbags.
Masyado makapal or thick -- you will end up exerting more effort wiping it off.  And I read somewhere,  can somebody knowledgeable here please validate this? -- that it does the eyelids and eyebags more harm than good when one over-applies moisturizers.

hi sis aquacharly! tks for the feedback. hope somebody who is more knowledgeable can validate this..kasi sabi ng friend ko, okay daw yong petroleum jelly iapply as eyegel before going to bed...tks again

i've read somewhere na  magkakaron ka ng "milia"( mini whiteheads on your undereyes) sa eyes or even sa face if you put super rich moisturizers especially one as thick as petroleum jelly

waahhh sis, feeling ko meron ako nito. ngayon ko lang napansin while in the office, pagharap ko sa mirror. parang may butlig butlig under my eyes. not really like allergies or zits. para lang nagenlarge [textspeak!] pores, at yap, merong parang mini whiteheads.

i wonder if its because of the sunblock i used this morning (dermplus, first time ko kasi gumamit nito eh) or baka sa belo pore minimizer face wash. tingin mo sis? what should i do to get rid of these?

tenks sa help sis. ;D

Go to a derma to have your milia removed.  Do not try to do it yourself -- they are very tough, small, numerous and well-embedded.
Hindi naman siguro dahil sa sunblock mo -- kasi 1st day mo pa lang ginamit.  Milia is not like allergic rashes that just pop out agad agad.

I would agree with POSHPRINCESS that you got your milia due to over-moisturizing.  Anything too much, even if a good thing, will not do good.

naku ako din sis.. i have milias on my undereyes..  at first i thought the more eye cream you apply, the more effective it will be..  soooo wrong!

napansin ko na lang na ang dami na.. and then accdg to the SA in HK, i shouldnt be using any eyecreams na rich kasi nagsesettle daw tlaga yung lipids na hindi na maabsorb ng skin sa open pores, product : MILIA.. tsk tsk.. yun, accdg to her, i should use oil free moisturizers and  eye gel instead of eye cream.. for prevention

pero correct si sis aqua, the only way to get rid of it is to go to a derma.. hindi kasi sya katulad ng whiteheads/ pimples na u can extract.. mahirap sobra.. i tried and failed.. masyado embedded sa skin.. lalo na sa undereyes na sensitive..

i had mine taken of sa derm strata.. 1500 for the whole face.. so far wala na sya ngayon pero from then on puro gel based and oil free na ang gamit ko..

sorry mods OT na noh..

sis POSHPRINCESS, what branch of derm strata did you go to? do they have a supervising dermatologist there and who performs the extraction? a dermatologist or parang  beauty consultant lang?

i think i have milia/milla too maybe due to over-moisturizing around the eye area ... been using clinique eye cream for the longest time ... and that could be the culprit. i just didn't want to have those wrinkles around the eye kasi esp the ones under the eyes.  :'(

thanks sis!

^sis chinita.. i went to the MOA branch of derm strata.. :)

at that time, there was a supervising dermatologist.. you have to call and check when yung sched ng availability ng derma nila, kasi may certain skeds lang na meron.

pero yung aesthetician lang yung nagperform ng extraction.. it was ok.. although there is the usual ouch factor.. it turned out ok.. they'll give u a gel to apply on the areas.

simple lang ako.pag hindi ko na kaya mag-shower,heto short cut ko (specially from night shift)

1.remove make-up,wash face thoroughly
2.toothbrush
3.wash feet
4.wash private part,change undies
5.crawl to bed ;D

I dont need mositurizers...grabeng oily skin ko pero clear naman, walang pimples.

Wow! hindi lang pala ako un medyo mahabang list in term of night beauty rituals :P

Here's mine on weekdays:
Makeup remover - Shu Uemura
Facial soap - Fresh Pharmacy or Herbalism (good 'to for oily skin) by LUSH
Facial wash (kung na out of stock ako sa bar) - VMV
Body soap/wash - Olay/Dove or B&B Works
Bath soak - Waving Not Drowning by LUSH - this is super good for bad stress days sa work especially kung may naiinis ka  :D
Feminine wash - Lactacyd*
Lotion - Palmer's Cocoa butter formula

Fragrance - I know this sounds stupid but I really really have a habit of spraying perfume before going to sleep or after a night bath...It make me feel well sexy  :D

Hope this helps!
