Then stock rice, konting de lata at process food pang worst comes to worst. Condiments. Stock powdered soap at bath soap.

It's quite difficult but we manage even if both of us are working.

Right now,With a 7 month old baby and a 2 year old hindi na ko magmama asim.

Since i was a kid may yaya na ko. :)

Working full-time, raising a young boy. I do everything myself. I still have extra time for myself. No problem because I never experienced having a household help. But then of course, the lifestyle where I live is easier than in the Philippines.

No Yaya since Feb, woohoo!

I leave my daughter with my in laws when I need to go to the office. I just really appreciate my company bec I can be a yaya, driver (I drive her and pick her up from school everyday), mayordoma while working full time. And of course, doing business on the side.

Darna!  ;D

Cheers to all the supermom!

^I'm happy din na my boss is very considerate and lets me adjust my work schedule when really needed. My mom is there to help out too, kaya nasanay na ko na walang maid. Stress free pa buhay ko.

Its been months since we have no helper. Noong una kaya naman sana, kaso lang may work now requires a big chunk of my time. Does anyone here have any trusted referral that i can interview? Or a reputable agency that they've tried in the past?

Thanks in advance sa mga sasagot. :)

I can live without a driver but not without a maid. Sabi ko when we 1st arrived here kaya ko even if i work kasi condo naman and not a house. And since it's just my hubby and me, the 2nd bedroom doesn't really get dirty because we don't use it. Masyado pala akong ambitious! 2 weeks pa lang i got na a maid.  ;D

With out current home set-up, me with my mom and aunt na both senior citizens eh mahirap na wala. My mom's recovering from stroke and my aunt also has a heart condition tapos I have work pa so mahirap talaga na wala to do the house chores and feeding my dog and cleaning up after her pag wala ako.

The only household chores that I hate doing are laundry (handwash), ironing and cleaning the bathroom. We never had help when I was a child but fortunately, di pinagawa sa akin ang mga chores na iyan ng nanay ko.

When I was working na, I was fortunate na kapitbahay ko lang yung caretaker ng rented apartment ko. Siya na rin tagalinis, tagalaba and plantsa.

Presently, I'm married na and based overseas. I still don't have work here but my husband has a share of his chores pa din (cooking breakfast, taking out the trash, cleaning the bathroom/CR, washing the dishes). Alas! Weird nya magplantsa kaya ako talaga gagawa nito. Hehe.  I agree that it is relatively easier to live abroad without a househelp-- di maalikabok (lalo na sa sa suburbs), mas okay access for better appliances, walang pests (may nagche-check sa apt namin from pest control quarterly), etc. Wala pa kaming baby and I'm sure, managing the household and taking care of the baby simultaneously  would be difficult but doable. Hehe. Besides, may day care centers naman. There's even a kid's club in my gym where you can leave your kids while you work-out. Time management would definitely be the key.

I'll never hire a driver here (sosyal ko lang, hehe). Will still have to take driving lessons and buy a car! Pero saka na yun! Their public transpo is okay naman and walking is healthier. BUT--- ibang usapan na pag sa Pilipinas especially in Manila. Wala akong lakas ng loob to drive there. Maghahanap talaga ako ng casual/part-time driver pag uuwi kami at di ako pwede ipag-drive ni hubby.

since september pa kami walang katulong and although kaya naman (mom and dad both retired, i work from home) minsan guso ko na mag give up. we have 2 dogs, my sister leaves her baby with us during the week (wala din silang yaya/helper and both she and her husband has work). mahirap lang kasi i don't have time to focus on my business. in the am, i clean the house take out the garbage while my dad cooks breakfast. the rest of the day kay baby ako nakabantay (he's 1.4yrs old so hindi pwede maiwan sa likot) mom cooks lunch and dinner. baby sleeps between in the am but hindi pa rin pwede iwan kasi what if he wakes up etc tapos our day ends a 11pm so pagod na o do other things.ang mahirap pa is we can't go out sabay sabay cause personally, i don't want o leave my dogs alone in the house (i have two yorkies) so yun.ang hirap lang talaga mag hanap ng helper nowadays...

I feel you, sis. We can make do without a helper but personally, I would prefer one to avoid getting overworked. It doesn't help that I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and I need someone to look after them (especially the dogs - someone has to take them out to potty once in the morning, at noon, in the evening, and before bedtime). If I didn't have any dog (my indoor cats are pretty independent), I think I could survive without help. But then again, my babies are very important to me.
