It's been 4 weekends na no helper ako.  On my first weekend I posted that I will die without a helper.  Hmmm, I think I'll actually live =D  I'm actually learning how to clean the house!

I know I still have a long way to go - sakit talaga ng whole body ko after cleaning the whole house pag Saturday.  and feeling ko, ang bagal ko (I usually start around 9 am, and end around 4 pm).  But I know nasa learning curve pa kasi ako.  Someday ma-master ko rin ang domestic chores.  Sinasabi ko na lang sa husband ko (pag nagcomplain sya sa chores) and my mom (pag sinasabihan ako na I need a cleaning lady) na bakit ba yung average American wala naman helper.  If they can do it, kaya ko din.

As for having a driver, ok lang naman. Mama ko lang naman ang may kelangan, and kung wala naman, she takes taxi. Driver namin dad ko. Haha.  ;D

^sis, why not bring your laundry to the laundry shop?  that's what I do.  kahit na with washing machine, I cannot do our laundry myself since I'm working.  and 2 lang kami ni husband.  so I can just imagine kung gaano kadami labahin mo considering you have kids.  for the pressing, pili lang pina-press ko sa laundry since press is so expensive.  strictly office clothes lang.  yung mga shirts and jeans (weekend get up), hindi na pinaplantsa.  we just hang them immediately pagkakuha sa laundry para wag masyado lukot.

oo sis nagpalaba ako.... oh my gulay mag-1 buwan na akong walang HH....

ay, I spoke too soon. Wala na naman akong helper. I got one last Monday after having no maid for 5 months. Masakit daw likod niya. Then she texted her ate ( who referred her to me kasi she is my friend's maid) na kaya masakit likod niya kasi pinaglaba ko daw siya nag major major! Gosh, I have my own labandera and she never washed a single cloth in my house!

I dunno if this is still relevant to this thread..basta, back to maid naman ako. okey lang, 5 months na akong walang maid ( and counting) so I have my own routines na to juggle household chores, the kids, hubby and my freelancing job..whew!

If we live in a smaller place baka kaya ko pa... usually 2 helpers dito sa house, but right now, i only have 1 helper (labandera) pero she helps wash the dishes, look after my kid when i'm cooking, she also cleans the ground floor... yung isa umalis na, kaya maid-hunting again huhuhu

I can now confidently say YES, kaya ko walang helper.  It's almost 2 months now since umalis helper ko, and I survived.  Nung umpisa, sobrang hirap talaga ko - I'm cleaning the house whole day of Sat; pag dating ng Sun as in sobrang sakit buong katawan kailangan ko magpa-massage.  Ngayon hindi na.  kaya na.  I can even cook a simple lunch (like nilaga) while doing house cleaning pag Sat.  malayo na naabot ko sa learning curve!

In my case, I think baka ikamatay ko pa sa high blood ang household help harhar. Ayoko talaga na may ibang tao sa bahay eh. And I have a friend who's a single mom for 8 years now, who works full time tapos may sideline pa and wala siyang yaya o driver. Lahat siya. So in my mind, if she can be a supermom, eh I have no excuse for not being one. :P

Kaya ko for maybe a week or two...maybe three. After that medyo nagpapanic na ako. haha.

so far kinakaya. . .after resigning from work 3 years ago. And that with 3 kids ages 6,4 and 2. Although very hard, doing everything, bringing all of them along whenever i need to do some errands out of the house (groceries, visits to pedia . . ., even during nearby trips to the sari-sari store 3 houses away) hubby helps out when he is home (dead tired after work). But with the prospect of hubby leaving for abroad anytime next month. . . i'm considering hiring a helper.  Mukhang necessity na given the situation.

sis, i have 7yrs(boy), 5yrs(boy), 2yrs(boy), 8(girl) months. no maid as of october 1. Hubby abroad. KAYA! lol

mind over matter lol. i just ask a stay out maid to general clean every first of the month. and we're set for the month.

i think about 2 to 3 steps forward, what is needed before it is needed. sa gabi, prepared na para sa morning, grab and go na lang.

i also train the kids to clean after themselves. clean as you go ika nga. even the 2 yr old knows that basura belongs sa trashcan. i may run a tight ship but parang nagugustuhan ko na this way. cheaper, or the money is really spent well kasi walang nananayang na kasama sa bahay.

i psyched myself that i am abroad, with no maid allowed. para alam kong i only can rely on myself. we do grocery once a month, dala ko lahat ng kids. kapag me kinulang, i buy it sa sari sari store kapag tulog pa sila or kapag pwedeng sumaglit. sinasama ko lang ang trigger, in my case, my 5yr old boy. the 7yr old is deadma to the world, the 2 yr old is an explorer but calms down when watching thomas the train, the baby is quiet unless hungry. but the 5yr old kasi is super sa kulit, ginugulo ang tahimik kaya usually siya ang dala ko.

my family naman who lives close can help pero they have their own lives. swerte na if pede iiwan ang mga bata sa kanila. i keep a list though for purchasing like Mercury or palengke or bank. They ask me kasi whenever they go out if i need to buy something para isasabay na lang nila. Bills, some kasabay na din sa kanila, but for most i pay online. Nagpapawithdraw na lang din ako. I have a cash card, so I just move money there para meron pa din akong financial privacy.

ang namimiss ko lang minsan, maghapong tulog! Kasi you can never sleep talaga as in sleep! Half of myself is/should always be alert kasi kids ang kasama ko and you'll never know what they can think of of doing!

i am sobrang awaiting my husbands vacation dahil siya daw mag aalaga sa kids!(kunwari lang iyon. isa pa din siyang alagain kapag nandito)

Hay right now, I'm still searching for other maid, so far kaya naman, linis, luto, except laundry, since may labandera naman kami... siguro kung di lang ako nagkaka-allergy sa kamay, siguro mas hindi ako hirap kahit kulang sa maid..

idol ka sis genivy21! If you just know how to manage your time ,you can really do it.

When I'm really tired, I just remind myself na if kaya ng mom ko ( we were 5), then kaya ko ron. Imagine before, no disposable diapers, etc. So there is no reason, why hindi ko kaya. If we are just staying in the house, honestly walang excuse na hindi natin kaya.

Its hard and tiresome pero there are other mothers there who have to face worse issues like walang pangkain sa mga anak nila. This might sound overrated pero that's what I really tell myself or hubby ( naaawa sa akin minsan nun..hehe).

I didn't have a maid for 6 months. nakaya at kaya naman talaga. Time management, ma una gumising than the kids and train the kids too.

I have a maid now as expected....high blood ako sometimes. I told my mom ( who recommended the maid) na if she can stand me, fine. Pero I won't make any below-my-standard measures just to keep her. Maids, they can come and go.

Plus, I'm learning how to drive. At least, I can really go out for errands. My baby is now 9 months, so I can really bring him along with my 4 yr old....

Technically, we can survive without a maid when worse comes to worst cus we know how to do house chores. But with our current situation, mejo madame kame sa house, hinde na feasible especially because I dont want my mom to do so much chores anymore.

With yaya naman, well, I've been without a yaya for a few months and while we were all able to survive thanks to my mom, we really still need one kaya I'm thankful to have a matinong yaya now. Hubby and I are both working and kelangan lage may magbantay sa 5 month old girl ko. My mom is there naman but I know she cant always devote her time to my daughter cus she has things to attend to and she's not that young anymore.
