Wow antagal na palang inactive ng thread na 'to. :)

Question sana, what does this mean? My daughter's savings account is with Metrobank and I saw from the website it has this:

Free educational trust benefit worth P50,000 (with minimum ADB requirement)

Ex: If she has only 1,000 in her account at every month e 500 lang ang dini-deposit niya, does that mean regardless of what her min. ADB is (ADB: 500) eh me educ trust benefit na siya? Pasensya na I'm still trying to learn this stuff. Thanks.

Average Daily Balance po... 500 kasi ADB sa Metrobank. Sa BDO ata 2000 to earn interest e. Sa Metrobank kasi ang gusto ko eh insured din 'yung parent ng bata once me Fun Savers account yung anak mo.

Eto po 'yung nasa website nila:

Quote
Initial deposit required – P 500.00
    Minimum monthly ADB – P 4000.00
Minimum balance to earn interest – P 4000.00
Interest rate 0.5% per annum (subject to withholding tax)

Here’s what you get as part of the Fun Savers Club:

A welcome gift upon account opening
Free educational trust benefit worth P50,000 (with minimum ADB requirement)
Free personal accident insurance worth twice the ADB, not to exceed P1 million (with minimum ADB requirement)
Exclusive discounts and privileges from partner establishments

And the best part of this savings account is that Metrobank also offer Fun Savers Club Gift Check. The Fun Savers Club GC is a special gift check intended to initially fund a new Fun Savers Club account or to add funds to an existing account. A perfect gift alternative for any occasion.

The FSC GC can be purchased over-the-counter at any Metrobank branch for P500.00 only.

i opened a bdo account for my daughter when she was 5 months old.  she's now 3 1/2 and i withdrew most of her money (left 5k as maintaining balance) and opened an online trading account for her at citiseconline last january 2012.  at bdo, she earned about 20pesos interest monthly. in stocks, she has earned about 680pesos cash dividends and 2,470pesos gain from sale of stocks since january 2012.

sis babythug28, in trust for (ITF) yung account. =)

sis sweet angel, naka-ITF.  more on investing. sa application form, indicate ITF. then sa primary account holder column, info mo.  sa secondary account holder column, info ng anak mo. pina-lbc ko lang ang documents (application form, agreement form, valid IDs, and proof of billing). kung personal na magsu-submit ng docs, hindi na kailangan ng proof of billing. =)

sis ms.orange17, hindi naman.

What is the minimum amount requirement to open an account?

- For EIP and Starter (student) accounts, the minimum deposit is Php5,000.
- For regular COL trading accounts, the minimum deposit is Php25,000.

We opened a mutual fund at FAMI for our daughter. It's under my name though. She's only 5 years old but I plan to transfer it to her when she reaches 18 pa. We also got her a life insurance.

you're welcome.

We scheduled a monthly transfer from our account to our son's account, automatic yun. Ngayon medyo malaki na yung savings ng anak namin, kasi hindi namin napapansin yung monthly transfer.
