My daughter have one account in BDO. I was informed by this thread that Metrobank offers it with Insurance. I was planning to open another account in Metrobank for her to avail the insurance. Thanks to GT. Thanks Girltalkers!

i opened a junior savers club account for my baby at bdo sm megamall a branch.  i presented my passport, company id, and my baby's certificate of live birth (i do not have his birth certificate yet). they did not require me to present an ID na.  they only requiered me to go back to present another primary ID (for me, not for my baby).

regarding metrobank funsavers for kids, i went to a branch of merobank last week, and said that it was not available as of that day because there is no agent for the funsavers account. i did not bother to ask more questions because I'm in a hurry to attend to other stuff. now, as i think of it, do they really need an agent for the fun savers account? i thought it's part of their regular offered packages like saving account, TD account, etc? I hope someone can enlighten me on this. thank you in advance.

MBTC ka sis? Nope.. kasi yun din sana gusto ko they have metrobank direct, online access mo sa account mo na pwede mo gawin ang pagtatransfer ng fund pero dapat same bank (MBTC-MBTC lang).. Yun kasi sabi sakin dahil gusto ko sana enroll account ni hubby kaso Robinsons Bank siya.

 Wala bang bank na di na kailangan ng Birth Certificate? or photocopy lang okay na? Naipasa ko na sa Embassy,matrabaho pala.Pwede be to follow ang mga birth certificates? 7 and 4 years old ang babies ko.

I finally opened bank accounts for my sons at BDO.  I submitted photocopies of their birth certificate and presented the certified xerox copies (from the Civil Registrar, not NSO) for comparison.

mamivioly:   For BDO, P500 is the minimum to open a junior savers club account.  For BPI, P10,000 is the minimum to open an ITF ("in trust for") account for your child.

^ I inquired at Chinatrust too since meron dito sa building.  Puwede rin ITF account and the minimum opening requirement is P1,000.
