Bank Account ni Baby.

i plan to open an account for my upcoming baby. gusto ko sa BPI Family. pag NB kelangan pa ba ng pic?

mga mommies, aside from a bank account, you may want to invest in bonds.  right now, i think the smic bonds is still available.  for 7 years, their rate is 9.1% and for 5 years, i think it's 8.1% (not sure).  interest is paid semi-annual.  nag issue din san miguel pero yun tapos na...

placing our money in bonds is a good way to invest as long as the bonds rating is high... for smic and san miguel, i think its triple A yata...

i think this is a good way to save for our child's education.  we just have to make sure not to spend the interest earned by the bond.  if possible, yung interest, we can put that in a time deposit or special savings account.

hi, sis. i opened an ITF account with BPI for my daughter. hindi na ako hiningan ng picture ni baby. ID and pic ko lang and birth cert ni baby

..nakapag open na kami sa BDO and hindi nga kami hiningan ng picture, but we will still give para dun sa ID card for freebies and discounts

My husband opened a Save Up account for our baby..i think BPI ata or BPI Family, pero under my husbands name...everything gift na ampaw skanya, it goes straight there...aside from our own money that we give for him...

2 months si baby ng nag open ako ng account sa BDO, hindi naman kailangan ng pix.

Unfortunately hindi ako masaya sa account kasi sobra ng liit ng interest ng bank ngayon aside from tax na binabawas pa nila.  Pina closed ko na yung account last friday, tapos nilipat ko sa Cooperative namin dito sa Paco.  Okey nman don kasi stable naman yung coop, besides walang tax na  binabawas sa account mas malaki pa interes. Nakita ko sa mga cousins nya for P400 deposit P8 ang interest per month.  Unlike sa bank I think for P2,000 deposit P1.25 lang interest tapos may P0.27 pa na tax.

i opened an account for my baby girl when she was 4 months old. ITF account in Metrobank. my mom also opened an account for her in BPI naman. 
pag labas ng baby boy namen, am planning to open an ITF account for him in metrobank as well since may insurance nga.

you can approach any of the top banks. usually, they'll refer you to the trust department of their bank.  kadalasan, sa head office yun. 

you can also try investing in bond funds.  you can approach any of the top banks.  they have that, under their trust department. 

malaki interest sa bonds and bond funds, kaya lang di covered ng pdic.  saka pang long-term talaga.  pag direct investment ka sa bonds, usually 5 to 7 years.  pag bond fund, 60 days minimum dpat.  otherwise, malaki charges.

sa metrobank ang account ng baby ko.. naguluhan lang ako, (di ko natanong or di naexplain  )  nacheck ko kasi online may nakita akong service charge 5 usd parang ang laki yata..

im interested with Metrobank Funsavers with insurance. ok lang kaya grandparent ang mag open? at wala ang child sa kanya? kelangan ba original birth certificate o ok lang ang copy of birth certificate?nandito kami outside the country and i want to open an account for my kids.

just opened an account for baby. bilis lang sa bdo. simple lang requirements, birth cert ni baby, 2 id cards ko and 1 1x1 pic ko.... presto, 15 mins and we're done...... junior savings yung inopen ko na account for my girl.

My daughter have one account in BDO. I was informed by this thread that Metrobank offers it with Insurance. I was planning to open another account in Metrobank for her to avail the insurance. Thanks to GT. Thanks Girltalkers!
