^ fitted sheet is for the mattress talaga kasi may garters so they stay in place.

i use flat sheets as light blankets.

as for TC, the higher the more malambot/soft the tela and mas siksik. lower TCs tend to be magaspang.

the regular sheets ng mga canadian, family home, ultima, etc are TC180.

gusto ko lang malaman sis kung nagpapa dry clean ba kayo to wash your quilts... kasi hindi sya kasya sa washer/dryer namin.. kaya palagi na lang nagpapa dry clean.. hindi po ba masisira agad pag nagdadry clean? kelangan po ba handwash? ang laki kasi ng quilt para ihandwash.. bigat sobra..

last month ako bumili ng sheet namen ni hub...ngayon ko lang nalaman ang difference ng flat sheet sa fitted sheet...now I know mas type ko pala ang fitted sheet kasi mas madali ilagay sa bed...

now ko lang nalaman mga sis ang TC....talaga po bang dapat i-consider na tignan ang TC bago bumili ng Bed Sheet sa pag kakaintindi ko pag mataas ang TC mas comfortable ang texture and long lasting? pag mababa naman ang TC below 200 hindi magandang klase...tama po ba

supposedly, yeah, the higher the thread count, the better it is. pero parang depende din dun sa material na gamit. as mentioned, i bought this set na 200 lang ang TC niya and malambot naman siya saka makapal. it's actually what i'm using right now and i have no complaints. pero dun sa store, meron din na 200 ang TC at nakabalot pa lang, alam ko na na sobrang hindi ok. ang nipis nipis. cute sana kaso mukhang isang laba ko pa lang, magiging pillowcase na lang ahaha joke.

agree din- personally mas gusto ko ang fitted. i put the fitted first and place the flat one after.

I also worry about the toxic residual fumes from the drycleaning. 

So although I was forced to buy a bigger capacity washing machine;  eventually, I decided to resort to duvet sets to replace our comforters.

As for others who still prefer the comforters --- the frequency of dry-cleaning can be reduced by always using a flat sheet underneath (flat sheet between your body and the comforter).

sarap mag buy ng sheets sa s & r. so cheap! yung 300 tc like 1000 petot lang. kaya explain ko kay boyfie na sulit na yung membership fee if you buy kahit 1 set lang ng bedsheet kasi sa ibang stores ang mahal ng good sheets. i even saw a 400 tc set na 1000, ayoko lang ng kulay pero carry na din talaga di ba. i dress up mo na lang with nice pillows.

I agree. First time to buy my own sheets and there were different types of materials to choose from: cotton, cotton-polyester, cotton percale, cotton sateen were the ones I remembered.

I bought white sheets. 1 set na siya from SM. May fitted sheet, flat sheet and 2 pillow case. Bumili na rin ako ng duvet. Hay... love na love ko na ang bed ko kasi parang hotel na siyang tingnan, sobrang white!

I bought Daphne's linens last week from our Home, got most of the sale items - 200 and 300 TC king and queen sets. They have new designs kaya most of the old stocks are on sale. I got most of the flower designs for my daughter's bedroom. 

I agree, ang mura ng linens sa S&R, got 300 TC Hotel linens (queen set) for 1,700 only. Maraming plain colors, recently I like plain colors for our master bedroom (brown, beige, green) - accessorized na lang din with pillows.

Daphne's linens have good quality in my opinion. Nice rin ang prints. Daphne's a businesswoman talaga. She now has a linen line and of course her lucrative jewelry business and endorsement for Olay Total Effects with her co-F hosts Angel & Cher. Super idol ko na talaga si Daphne.

Got 2 sets of linens from Homeport during SM Megamall's Homeworld sale. 500TC queen size for only 2.5k which includes 1 fitted, 1 flat and 2 pillow cases. i got the hotel line in white and brown. the sets can be mixed and matched. also got extra bolster cases. now our bedroom looks like a hotel room, plus the sheets are really comfy. very satisfied

di ba standard ang ibang sizes ng bed sheets? some bedsheets that we got as wedding gifts, although queen size,  don't fit onto our queen size matress. same size pero yung thickness ng matress namin kasi, parang 12 inches ito. so maliit lang siya sa matress namin.

^based on sheets i got (they have different brands), ibaiba yung mattress depth and length ng mga fitted sheets. dun sa cardboard na kasama nila usually nakalagay dun yung dimensions nila, width (basehan kung queen, king, single yung mattress) x lenght x depth (lapad ng mattress)

i prefer din fitted sheets esp pag may malikot na baby and hubby..kapagod kaya magayos ng magayos.
