Chinese Schools (preschool,primary and HS)

how about st marks learning center and DML which one would you prefer? if you plan to enrol your kid in jubilee in big schools...how come no aircon st marks considering their toddler tution fee is around 100k?

Both are very good preschools .  DML mas strict lang and run by nuns. Parang bugbog sa aral yun mga DML kids, but very good school. For jubillee i think either school is a good choice. Imo lang bka mas more fun ang st. Marks. Daming good reviews din ang st. Marks.

why nasabi bugbog sa aral dml sis?     nagask kasi ako sa dml sabi twice a week lang chinese nila unlike sa st. marks everyday.

^both are good sis. There's a difference lang in religion kasi st jude is catholic school while jubilee is christian.

^^ WOW! Xavier's tuition is 200k already? Back in my days, it was less than 100k and it was 100k when we had AC in our rooms. I guess they're charging the students more now because they are really renovating everything there. Plus, I heard macbook is a requirement and the student is also required to go to China for at least one summer as part of the curriculum.

how about DML montessori or St. mark learning center?  i plan to wnrol shobe in jubilee na sana kaso they were not accepting less than 3 yr old by june even 2.8 na shobe on june. kaya plan ko kahit a year or 2 muna shobe either DML or st mark

They are now using Singaporean Math. Kaya kawawa ang kids. Super hirap daw

^ Haha that's okay. Goal of the kids is to graduate at the least assuming he/she will not choose a specific profession. Besides English and a little bit of Chinese, I'm not really applying much of what I learned back then. Real learning starts after graduation. Haha. Teach your son the most important thing in XS; tell him to be close friends with kids who he can do business with when he grows up.

babygap, 3 of my sister's friends transferred to Chinese International School from ICA/XS. The student-teacher ratio is really small and it seems that the 3 kids become more responsible. They are now in the US/Canada for University

m_lim, I'd prefer Jubilee than St. Jude. Sobrang bugbog yung mga kids sa St. Jude plus Saturday classes pa.

jtansanco, my sister's batchmates were all using macbooks at that time but I heard that it's not IB for everyone, just a few sections per batch

How much is the tuition of XS for Kinder? Is it 200K or is that figure for HS already? I think curriculum wise XS has the best/most competitive compared to all other boys schools. Sending your kid to XS is really an investment in terms of education and more importantly connections.

A friend of mine who's a XS alum has 3 sons/grandsons of construction/real estate magnates in his immediate barkada and it has given him opportunities for business ventures and information that normally would not be made available to people outside the circle of XS.
