^sis depende din kasi sa timing ng padala nyo. Yung mga cargo shippers kasi they would rent either a twenty or forty footer containers na pupunuin nila before shipping it here. Now kung na-timing isa ka sa mga una, matagal pa antay mo bago mapuno yung container. Unless super dami talaga ng nagpapadala at napuno agad yung container then padala agad. Actually ang shipping time is only around a week from the West Coast to the Philippines. Ang matagal dun is the waiting time na mapuno yung container.

bakit kapag galing sa east coast ang tagal ng box kapag galing west coast naman ang dali dali lang 3 weeks andito na sa manila?

kasi mas madami sigurong nagpapadala sa westcoast. di ba kailanagn nilang punuin yung tanker before they ship?  yun kasi ang explanation ng nakausp ko from lbc

^sis, container ang kailangan nilang punuin. Yung container ang ilo-load naman sa barko. Yung mga barko meron talagang fixed schedule yan, may laman o wala aalis at aalis yan kasi kailangan nilang pumik-up naman pabalik kung saan next nilang route.

naguguluhan po ako, cuz i want to buy stuff from US using my CC pero wala akong "reliable" na contact sa US who can pack it for me... can Atlas or johnny air do that for me? like, i buy many things tapos sila na ang magpapack for me? do u think its worth it?

gusto ko kasi bumili ng luggage bag nakasale sa US ang mahal dito, pero pano? tapos gusto ko bumili ng lcd tv at wii, pero pano?

^share ko lang yung exp ng cousin ko sa pobox.ph. she ordered over 20 items online at pinadeliver sa california warehouse ng pobox. after 45 days pag dating ng box nya kulang ng 2 items. pag tawag sa pobox 3 days later pa bago kinonfirm na nandun pa sa kanila yung 2 items. ang nakaka disappoint pa is the company claimed na dumating yung orders after her box was shipped to the philippines which is impossible kasi naka record naman yung transactions nya sa ups. ending pinagbayad sya ng extra $40 para sa shipping nung naiwan dahil hindi "daw" nila fault.

^i don't think my cousin will ever complain on something kung wala naman syang proof. ang dami nya daw kausap dun sa pobox, every call e different person ang naghahandle ng issue nya tapos palagi na lang sinasabi "we will call you after we've checked" na umabot na nga ng 3 days bago pa maconfirm na andun pa nga yung 2 items nya. how efficient diba!?

hindi sya sa pobox pinadala.sa ibang forwarder, huhuhu nakakiyak na, mga paninda ko andun,na mukhang di na aabot ng chistmas.

yung the walk-in closet alam ko they offer that service if you want an option. i have friends who transact with them at mukhang ok naman.

maybe ang pobox napakaraming transactions at kulang sa tao kaya pumapalya ang service. or siguro hindi lang ganun ka efficient mga tao nila. kung ganun lang rin wag na sila mag accept ng packing service.

^wala akong feedback about johnny air sis kasi di ko pa sila naencounter. ang nagamit pa lang so far ng mga kilala ko ay yung pobox and walk-in closet.

correct me if i'm wrong, pero yung johnny air di ba pick-up service yung kanila and not door-to-door? kasi i remember nung 2001 may pinadala yung friend ko sa akin pero ako ang nag pick-up sa office nila sa megamall.

pag province lang ata sila door to door (johnny air) or alam ko nagdedeliver din but with add on fee.

they consolidate pero weekly lang tapos may charge na $20 for consolidation, pero for online purchases lang, meaning, by air ang shipping kaya mas mahal. hindi thru sea cargo

Alam ko sa JAC may option for pickup at their offices or delivery to an address.
And yes may additional fee... Its best to contact their office nearest you baka kasi iba iba rin depende sa location.

is it true that electronics will be charged 20% if u buy in the US and ship the item here in PH?

I think if its in the balikbayan box di naman. I sent 2 balikbayan boxes, I included an Iphone though I really hide it inside one of my hubby's socks and Psp and the courier naman declared it as containing foods, toys and clothing for the kids, wala naman naging problem sa transactions.

Try Atlas Shippers.  They serve California and Las Vegas.  When I was there, I paid $69 (Las vegas) for shipping a big balikbayan box with free junior box.  Kaya I did not need to carry everything I shopped for pauwi to Manila.  Too bad mukhang nag mura sila ngayon.  Sayang.

@jam - sis, anong laman ng backpack? I'm asking kasi right now embargo pa rin ang mga personal effects via airfreight to the US. This was a result of last year's attempted bombings discovered in the UK and ME. The packages were sent via couriers Fedex and UPS.
