^this might be late reply but I'll answer it anyway.

yung electronic gadget from US was purchased from Amazon. sa NY office ng JohnnyAir ko pinadeliver at saka sila ang nag-ship papunta dito. it was an ebook reader.

sa mga laptop at ipod, malaki ang service fees na i-china-charge. Not sure if $25 or $50. Plus the charge fees ng item. check the JohnnyAir.com site for more info

hi, i have a friend sa us na bibili sana ng mga vctoria secrets and bbw there. pag ba sa balikbayan box pinadala wala na syang tax? im wondering kase baka mamaya magbayad pa ako ng tax.. saka sa tingin nyo ilang bottles kaya ng mga pabango at lotion ang magkakasya sa balikbayan box, say medium to jumbo? and how much yung cost ng shipping and handling papunta dito sa pinas. thanks!!

^ so far i've never been taxed for any of the boxes i've sent to manila... i dunno how many VS and BBW bottles can fit in a box but im pretty sure that it will be too heavy for the box to handle or for you to move it... i remember a shipping co.'s reminder, something like - remember that a person will carry your box, not a carabao. haha!

pag west coast to manila the rate is between $45 - 65 depending on the shipping co.

thanks sis for the reply... pag nag order kase ako online siguro mga 3-4bottles of cologne in 1 kilo.. so kung 50 kilos mga 150bottles.. sa estimate mo sis magkakasya kaya yun?

sana nga indi mataxan kase pag ganon sayang naman yung mga ipapabili ko kung haharangin rin lang ng custom..

^ when you order online from vs, the colognes and lotions arrive individually boxed... sa store kasi no box di ba... i think the 150 bottles would fit in 1 bbox... it would be heavy though... so reinforce your bbox. use heavy-duty packaging tape. pati yung seam at folds ng box lagyan mo ng tape para di bumigay.

our customs use xray to scan containers... so timing-timing lang yan at depende sa pangangailangan ng examiner.

usually pag bbox, di naman ata nata-tax... nakukulangan lang daw minsan ng content.

hala ganun ba.. naku naman.. baka naman makulangan ng 10-20 items pinakamahina na, eh jusko, luge luge na pag ganon.. parang napanghinaan na tuloy ako ng loob, ayaw ko na yata ituloy ang balak ko.. handaya naman..

hi mga sis, im planning to buy online 2-3 pairs of Aerosole & cole Haan Shoes and Cole Haan / Michael Kors bag. Malaki ba ang tax nito? im planning Johnny Air, or can u suggest other forwarders

Also can u pls help give me an idea how much it would cost to ship considering the items above.

sis, sabi ng customs, lahat na ng items may tax. branded pa naman mga yan, delikado ka sa mga taga dun. you're better off with johnny air.

sis depende kase sa bigat and size ng mga boxes mo yun, di po kita masasagot dyan.

if makikita mo naman yung weight ng items mo pwede mo macompute ang estimate

$6 per lbs sya + $5 flat rate for processing fee + 12% vat

actual weight or volume weight [(LxWxH)/166] whichever is higher

kung 8lbs halimbawa ang actual weight, 8lbs x $6 = $48 + $5 = $53 x 46exchange rate = 2,438 + 292.56 (12% VAT) = = 2,730.56

ngayon pag bulky ang package mo, yung volume weight malamang ang magamit

like 40" x 5" 8" (haha, sorry example lang, ewan kung anong shape yan)

30x 5 x 8 = 1,600 / 166 = 9.63lbs

instead na 8lbs sa computation above, yung 9.63lbs gagamitin

again, hypothetical lahat ng weight na ginamit ko ha. you have to check with the store you'll be buying. minsan pwede mo itanong eh, or minsan upon checkout makikita mo size ng binili mo

before, buyers have option na wag humingi ng Official Receipt from Johnny air, para di machargean ng 12% VAT. now hindi na pwede, required na sila to issue receipts.

yes mas tipid of course, if you're not in a hurry to receive those stuff, bbox is super ok. you can buy some more things pa. I use JA lang for small items and if I want to get the items fast. We get our computer cables from the US kase thru johnny air. so suki na ako LOL
