we've been sending our boxes thru manilaforwarder....almost 5 years na....we pay $75 for their jumbo boxes, within one month nare-receive naman ng mom ko....
they have a promo after christmas, $59/box, for the whole month of january....that's why we send another set of boxes during this period....

how many months forex cargo will arrive? i've traced mine sent last sept.27 from US, until now hindi pa dumating sa doorsteps ko. On october 24 the box arrived in their marikina warehouse.

LBC lang alam ng brother in law ko.  Pero sobra silang unreliable!  They picked up our box from my brother in law's house more than a week after we called them to pick it up! Tapos $75 pa yan and 30-45 days ang sabi nilang delivery. Sa west coast mas madami.  My Mom uses Atlas $50 lang daw bayad nya.  And, usually, yung box asa amin na in less than a month, parang 3 weeks lang ata. Kaya sabi ko sa husband ko, next trip namin west coast port of entry, west coast pa rin ang exit! hehe kala kasi namin makakamura kami ng shopping sa NJ.

Will ask my other tita naman sa NY if she uses a particular forwarder.

As mentioned before, sa East Coast you have Johnny Air, LBC, Forex yan ang major na pinapadalahan namin.

hi sis, yes they do pick up the box and then they give you a new box. Baka nga nagtaas na sila ng price. Kasi, two months ago lang kami nagpadala sa LBC.

Johnny Air is the same price with LBC. So far wala naman kaming naging problema sa pagpapadala sa kanila.

FOREX is really good kaya lang nga mahal.

Meron din Port Jersey, pero LBC and Johnny Air lang talaga kami.

I'm really upset. The cargo company my friend referred was supposed to pick up my box yesterday. Still waiting so I called up at 7:30pm, they couldn't make it. Will reschedule to pick up today. Called again at 7:30pm, will call back if they can drop by. Ugghh! Maaga pa naman ako umuwi sakaling dumating ng maaga 'coz I told them I'm already at home by 5:30pm. I'll try to look for other forwarders tomorrow.  I have the Jumbo box  24x18x24 and they were charging me $70 if pick-up. Hindi na to makaabot sa Pasko. Sa davao pa naman ang destination ng box.

I've sent with Alas Cargo before. Nakarating naman ang box. Will inquire tomorrow kung ano ba rate nila.

mga sis, pag nagpadala ng balikbayan box sa philippines, meron ba yung fixed rate or it depends sa weight ng box. how much po kaya? my fiancee is planning to send us a box napapamahal kasi sila sa express mail maliliit na box lang umaabot ng $35 eh sayang naman i've back read merong $50, $75 pero di ko alam kung yan na ba yung malalaking box. please help!

Sis, where's your location ba? Kasi we use Alas Cargo talaga for our balikbayan boxes. House namin is in Rancho Cucamonga pa so sa West Covina na Island Pacific ang drop-off. 1 month na ang binibigay nilang turnaround time ngayon.

honeybake, iba-iba ang sizes nyan. di ko alam exact measurement but i found this info online:

A Balikbayan box comes in different sizes that are commonly used. Regular size is 23 x 17 x 20 inches; Medium is 24 x 18 x 24 inches; Jumbo is 30 x 20 x 20 inches.

i'll go to the garage tomorrow and i will measure the box i have there. btw, the boxes to manila are different from the ones we use there. yung mga boxes dyan (alis-bayan  ) are square/cube... pero yung balikbayan, rectangular, at least in my experience ha.

also, there's no weight restriction unless sent via air. basta kasya stuff mo, you're good to go. basta pack and seal it well para di bumukas yung box mo.

hi mga sis alam ko mali dahil balikbayan box ito..pero makikisingit lang po ako sa inyo kung may alam kayo manila to Qatar naman po ilan days lang po siya pero mura:) baka may alam kayo po kasi lagi ako nagpapadala kasi abroad minsan sa dubai HK Singa.US. at Qatar.sa mga client ko po kasi lalo na sa Dubai at Qatar ,California. malimit ang mahal kasi nang binabayaran nila po halos every week ako nagsend sa knila..baka meron po kayo alam kapag sa pinas galing ang box..thank you po..

kung bawal po post ko sori po:) inquire lang po me baka kasi may nakakaalam po ng mura padala tnx..

hi sis oo nga malabo  post ko hehhe. inquire ako ng padala from pinas to Qatar. kasi mdami ang order sa akin ngayon sa Qatar..kaso napapamahal kasi pag postal office ang ginamit ko or kaya fedex po.. baka meron kayo alam na pwede padalahan po. pinas to Qatar na mura na tipong 1wik lang siya.or iba na cargo na mura at ilang days po siya.tnx..

btw, the boxes to manila are different from the ones we use there. yung mga boxes dyan (alis-bayan  ) are square/cube... pero yung balikbayan, rectangular, at least in my experience ha.

that's right, rectangular nga siya noh? My mom sends us balikbayan box at least 3x a year (3 boxe and up every time and rectangular nga yung size). Wais their forwarder kase walang jumbo box kaya ang daming smaller boxes tuloy. kung jumbo yung gamit niya, she'll be able to save at least 50%.

Anybody knows a good forwarder in the midwest area -- indiana, chicago? We use Zugbu and Orient Star. Yung zugbu pinipicturean din yung recipient hehe and medyo mabilis sil as in  1 month alng. Yung orient star, naku almost 2 months kainis!

Sis, sa SoCal maganda both alas and atlas. for atlas, meron kasi sila jumbo boxes. sa alas naman mura talaga ang rate lalo na pag drop-off. usually 3 weeks to 1 month nasa manila na ang box.
