hello po. ask ko lang po kung mayroong mga manitoba provincial nominees dito sa forum. kasi po yung application ng family namin sai-submit na namin sa canadian embassy sa manila noon pang May 14 2009. Hanggang ngayon po, more than 3 months na ang nakakalampas, wala pang response from the embassy kahit acknowledgment of receipt. normal pa rin po ba iyon? ok lang po kaya kung pumunta kami sa embassy para mag-follow up?

Hi, there! Just when we were ready to go to the embassy to follow up on our visa application, a letter arrived containing our file number and requests to undergo the medicals and provide additional documents. We finished the medical exams on Sept 28 and are now awaiting feedback from the embassy. Here's our timeline:

March 2008: Application package submitted to Manitoba by my husband's aunt
March 2009: Letter of Approval from Manitoba
May 2009   : Visa application package submitted to Canadian embassy in Manila
September 2009: Request for medicals and additional docs arrived

I have a very important question and I hope someone would answer.. We are finishing all the requirements needed for our permanent resident visa application and of course kailangan ng NBI Clearance, I got mine from an NBI satellite office and what I wrote on the purpose is Immigration Requirement, my siblings got their NBI clearances from Manila and theirs say Visa for Canada. Is it the same with what I have (Immigration Requirement)? or dapat Visa for Canada ang nakalagay? Thanks.

^sis OK lang yun, ganun din ang sa amin. standard talaga sa NBI na ganun ang nilalagay nila. yung agent namin said it very clear na ilagay daw canada immigration pero pagdating sa NBI sinabi sa kin na visa for canada ang nilalagay. pag daw kasi immigration requirement ibig sabihin resident kana sa canada at anduon kana. pag visa for canada, on the process palang ang application.

hi everyone! My family and I moved to Canada (TOronto) in May 2008. It was really hard for me since I'm very close to my cousins and parents so being away from them is so much torture.

We stayed in whitby for a couple of months. We didn't have a car yet and moving around was hard since whitby was really the suburbs. We then moved to Downtown Toronto. After a year or so, we moved back to whitby because i felt that toronto was too crowded.

Canada is pretty okay for kids. The homesickness though never went away.

Hi, ysangaby. How long did you have to wait till your passport request arrived? And how long did it take before the embassy in Manila returned your passport with the visa stamped on it?

Our medical results were forwarded to the embassy on October 7, 2009. We're wondering if we can receive our passport request before the year ends.

Hi Sis! We applied thru agency here in Dubai. It took us 2 years kasi na delay namin yung ibang requirements. From London,UK nangaling yung passport 3 weeks bago namin na recived yung passport with stamp.

for those sisses staying in british columbia, which place would be the most ideal for a typical filipino family na gusto magmigrate? yung place wherein the kids will not be bullied by other kids around, friendly neighborhood and ndi masyado stressful ang everyday life? sensya na po, medyo naga-assess lang ng option in case palarin kami (God's will!). i've already did some research on the net pero iba pa din kung galing sa first-hand account of those sisses living in canada talaga..

^ kung ako i'll choose alberta kasi dito mas maraming jobs na fit sa skills ko, mas maliit ang tax, libre ang provincial health care as compared sa ibang province. yun nga lang, matindi daw talaga ang winter dito.

regarding [textspeak!] naman. i've been there also for a few months...and i would say maganda sa victoria =). mukhang very safe and tahimik doon. yun nga lang, sabi nila mahal daw ang bahay don at ang pagrerent.
