hi, everyone. may tanong lang po ako. provincial nominee po kasi kaming family. recently po ay nagbayad kami ng processing fees para sa aming application for permanent residence.

tama po bang isinama ko na sa payment yung Right of Permanent Residence Fee? Kinakabahan po kasi ako dahil baka bumalik sa amin yung papers namin unprocessed.

hi, paula. thanks. sa manitoba kami. late na kasi nung mabasa ko sa cic.gc website na dapat munang hintayin ang advice from the embassy na bayaran yung RPRF.

Yun kasing pinadala ng manitoba na approval kit ay walang specific instruction about payment kaya binayaran ko nang lahat including RPRF nga.

may 14 kami nag-drop ng application package sa embassy. we're waiting for the acknowledgment of receipt. sana naman wag na nila ibalik kasi hahaba pa ang waiting time...

^^Mas maganda kung ang kukunin mong course eh may kasama ng internship or Co-op placement para magkaron ka ng experience sa field na yun kase gusto nila palagi may experience na.

The pilot program has already completed but I think they will start opening it again for the 2nd batch on September. Its a good start, training and an  internship program as well. Its just limited for IT professional though

hello mga sis

my family and i are leaving for canada on june 9. we will be staying at rupert st, vancouver.

to those who are in canada already, what are the best things to bring that are expensive there but cheaper here to buy in the phils

This post might be late but i hope this could help some who will be coming over soon.
Basically clothes, bags and flat shoes/sandals for spring and summer are expensive here and halos pare-pareho designs, walang variety. If your also gonna have items shipped via cargo, bring wool coat and lotsa bulky jacket for the winter, its cheaper in Manila and definitely a lot more designs besides you'll get 100% wool or really good material for a cheap price toiletries for a few month will help as well, coz its hard to buy stuff that you just might not be hiyang.  Sorry i cannot contribute on household stuff coz i didn't need to bring them but my friends brought everything at pati dish rack since it was on cargo naman

advice naman on having our 1st step on how to be immigrant or kahit working visa lang for Canada. We don't have any relatives there so parang malabo yung nominee something. KUng friends naman, parang ang labo din dahil mga bago lang din silang salta sa Canada. Parang ang dami lang ng sinasabi na process, nakakalito. Where to start? Patulong naman.

Nasa IT field husband ko. Ako naman Workforce Analyst sa call center. Ito mga work namin dito sa pinas.

^Since married ka na, I think it's better if you apply for FSW. Yung husband mo managerial position na ba? If so, pwedeng pwede. Check out Canada Thread, sis abby2007 posted a lot of relevant info.

Definitely!!! kakalipat lang namin dito a few months ago,after living in US for 6 years,I realized mas gusto ko dito.
If you really want to get a job here,try to check online job in Alberta And Saskatchewan,they do sponsorship ,mag apply ka muna pag natanggap ka,they will send you everything and you can take it from there,parang ang tagal naman ng 5 years,Alberta & Sas are open for employment they are literally need workers,don't try Ontario it's too crowded in here and job hunting isn't a breeze.
madali pa ang immigration,they are very considerate in terms of family,kaya in two years time pwede na ako magpetition.

Hi folks! Its been a long time since my last visit here. Nways, q's lang mga sis. Anyone here na nag-apply as immigrant last 2004? We are hoping dumating na desisyon by feb. or march next year (sakto 5 years  ).

Based sa ibang experience, darating pa kaya?  Nov. 2008 naka-kuha kami letter from the embassy na they are now starting to process my hubby's application.

^ sis may I ask kung nakapag medical na kayo? kapag nasubmit na sa embassy ang medical result then they will be asking for your passport. that's the time na decision will be made.
kami after the submission of our medical result we waited pa for 3 months before they requested for passport, then in less than a month visa na.
We filed our application year 2001 and received the visa 2007.
Dont worry sis.. malapit na rin kayo!

To answer you're first question, wala pa request for medical. Yun palang nov. last year notice ang nakuha namin.

^ green card holder ka na ba? if yes, i think you won't be needing a canadian tourist visa, but it's important to have a passport to travel plus your green card.

sis, pag na grant ka ba ng immigrant visa sa canada, will you be needing a visa(tourist) to US? balak kasi namin pag nag landing kami mag side trip to US.

^yup kelangan mo pa ng us tourist visa sis, kung dadaan ka din ng US, meaning ang connecting flight mo is from US going to canada kelangan mo pa din ng US transit visa.

Vanilla ang alam ko hindi naman daw, pero dapat may kamaganak ka sa canada para mas mabilis.
