i'm wearing glasses for correction right now kase sabi ng optometrist may astigmatism daw ako.. i'm wearing .5 or 50(diocepter) lenses now.. my dad was wondering before, baka daw instead bumalik yung 20/20 vision ko, baka lalo daw lumala.. i just don't know if this is true..

^^ sis, pede ka mag-glasses..yun nga lang walang grado..talagang glasses lang for protection.. kase my friend is a programmer dun sa pinagtatrabahuan nya before.. nirecommend ng company optometrist nila na mag-glasses lang sya for protection..

sa sm hypermart sa north ako bumibili ng glasses...800 lang may lenses na...ewan ko lang now if may ganun pa din sila...

Since grade 2 naka eyeglasses na ako...kakapagod na din saka kakatanda...mas madalas sa house lang me nakasalamin..sa labas contact lens..hirap malabo mata especially if may astigmatism ka...pag wala kang salamin para ka ng bulag...

i went to quiapo last weekend just to buy a pair of eyeglasses. grabe! nakakalula sa sobrang dami at very cheap. i ended up buying 4 pairs so i now have one each in the office, home, car and bag.

quality is at par with those what you can find in the malls. price-wise, its a lot cheaper. you can get trendy & sturdy frames for as low as 400. even lower if you haggle very good. lens is around 300 for ordinary and 600 for multicoated.

sis naalala mo pa yung name ng store sa quiapo? nagpunta kasi ko sa hidalgo last week my natanungan ko yung price nung plastic na frame na walang tatak 650. kaya nawalan na ko ng gana magask.

as i have mentioned above, the key to good buy is to haggle. don't settle for the price they give you. if they give you a price, just tell them outright you can't afford it and they'll ask how much your budget is. the 1st pair i bought is a mango brand white half-rimmed originally priced @ P800. i got it for only P400. at another store, i found a pink benetton frame priced at P850, got it for P400. =P

as to the store name, sorry can't help you with that. di ko na ma remember sa dami at di ko rin naitago ang mga official receipts.

i need to replace my lens..try ko yung multi coated.  ok pa yung frame ko and i don't want to replace it for now.

how much ang multi coated and what optical shop would you recommend?  thank's.

^1k for multicoated lens sa mall yata tapos 350 for ordinary.

ano mga features sa lens sa eyeglasses? I mean, like pwede pa-add ng parang UV protection kapag lagi nagdridrive, something like that

^sis i drive too.. yesterday i finally got to visit EO and asked them about transition lenses.. and one of the info the doctor gave me was, hindi daw nagti-tint yung shade ng transition lens when you're inside the car kasi "the windshield filters the UV rays that come through".

With that said, it means na medyo safe na tayo sa UV while driving.

i still have a 20-20 vision after kong magpacheck last Feb 2009 sa American Eye and sa EO last Dec naman.

but, due to my 24/7 work, bumili na ako ng anti-glare lens.
Bihira ko siya gamitin. at mas malinaw pa rin ang mata pag walang eyeglasses!

nice deal sis..dati kasi we went to quiapo din,paterno st. yata yun,madaming frames pero parang ordinary lang,hindi ko nakita yung mga ka-level ng sa malls san banda yung hidalgo?
im planning to have my eyes checked na din,looking for cheaper options..im thinking naman na what if sa quiapo bibili ng frame tapos sa mall ipapa-lens,ok lang ba yun?kasi parang medyo alanganin ako sa quiapo,meron daw kasi dun mga nagpapanggap lang na opto
sa mall naman meron kami natanungan dati(i forgot which one),parang hindi nila allow yung magdadala ka ng sarili mong frame..
sana may makapag-share sa name ng store na ok sa quiapo

aside from quiapo, you can also check sta. cruz. kaso dun yun sa mga eskinita eh but doon madaming frames and optical shops din. my aunt is an optometrist and dun siya nagpapagawa ng lens. dun na din kami bumibili ng frames. di ko nga lang ma-recommend yung mga transition lenses nila. i got that last year and nasisilaw pa din ako. epal lang.

ako din naiisip ko na minsan magpa-lasik. kaso mahal eh. yung right ko, 500 tapos yung left, 100 something ata. nyaha one-eyed jack.
