i bought my eyeglass in delos reyes optical in cebu. may delos reyes din ba sa mnl? maganda din kc dun. this s my 3rd, 1st-acebedo, 2nd-the optical. but now,i want to stick na w/ delos reyes.
2001 i started wearing, left ko lang my grade 0.25 .di nagbago.

I recently bought D&G half frame eyeglass in The Optical Shop sa SM Fairview, it was actually on sale, around 8k lang [textspeak!] frame + lens 12k pero pansin ko medyo heavy sya it leaves mark on my nose.... 450 eye grade ko.. Was it because of the frame or the lens kaya? bili nalang siguro ko ng iba..

^It may be the frame sis. Ganyan din ang problem ko ngayon. My eyeglasses left a mark on one side of my nose lol Di ko naman mapalitan since its really expensive (20k na Oakley)

oakley mabigat talaga ata.my sissy had an oakley one i tried it ang bigat. tho maganda talaga pero too heavy.ang expensive ng mga frames.

kaya dapat before buying make a checklist of the comfort factors you want  figure what you dont like bout the old one. when i got my recent pair it took me a while to find what i wanted. ayaw ko rin gumastos ng masyadong mahal para i can keep changing. 3 years was the max i did before changing. my last frame napagod ears ko from holding the frame kaya hd to change.

i use lightweight frames because my lenses are a bit thick.

the frames i use are inexpensive. i purchase frames from a department store, then i bring it to my eye doctor.

i dont use heavyweight frames because it tends to pull the skin downwards around my nose and eye area. it may cause permanent wrinkles in the long run.

I have a problem. One of the nose pads in my glasses fell off and I can't find it. Is it possible for the local optometrist to have it replaced, even if I purchased the eyeglasses from a different store?

I have my eyeglasses made in Quiapo. Madaming pagpipilian, and if one isn't particularly brand conscious you can still get a fashionable and sturdy pair for way below mall rates. Libre pa refract . So far all the glasses I've had made there suited my vision requirements perfectly. Marami din naman ng lenses na pinapagawa sa mga optical stores eh sa Quiapo din daw ang bagsak. I recently got a very decent pair of glasses for slightly less than 1k, multicoated na yun to protect eyes from computer glare and such. Waiting time is only 30 minutes to an hour unless your prescription is quite complicated. For those cases waiting period is about 3 days.

If anyone's interested to check it out it's right behind Quiapo church. Evangelista Street. From there tabi tabi na yung mga shops hanggang sa bandang Raon. Just keep your wits about you, and don't forget to haggle.

I've been using Oakley Coto 2.0, they don't feel that heavy naman for me.  It was tricky having it fitted initially, from maluwag to tight on the temples but now it fits perfect.  My 2nd pair's a Ralph Lauren RL 1494, lighter than my Cotos.  Both are fitted with progressive lenses.  It would be weird to see a cool set of Oakley's with the unappealing bifocal lines.  No offense.

^^sis punta ka nearest eye doctor and they will tell you if you need to wear glasses

kasi in my case im nearsighted kaya its hard for me too see far things so my eyes tend to squint pero still i dont wear my glasses

sis i know its kinda too late na to answer, but yes pwede mo ipadala sa opto shops they have nosepads and sa kanila mo ipafit yung new nose pad. less than 200 normally yun.

super delayed reply, but yeah, you can have them replaced. that happened to me too, and since there wasn't an exact match for my nosepad, they just replaced both.

i like the idea of buying supermarket frames and just having the lenses replaced.

 I have been using different eyeglasses since HS. I tried many pairs of contact lenses too. I keep changing my eyeglasses every now and then. Maraming advantages pag bumibili ako ng bagong frames and lens. I always undergo eye tests at bago pa ang style ng eyeglasses ko.  Bumibili ako ng  frames and lens   Kahit saang optical shop basta mura or on sale around 350, 450 or 500. I do not liek to buy expensive Eyeglasses anymore because nawawala ko lang.
 I love to read.  Books,magazines, newspapers,pocketbooks kahit Flyers.

I agree sa suggestion ng isang sis natin.. buy ka ng eyeglasses khit tg P100.. choose un bakal kase pg plastic naupuan basag or bali.. then ask mo kung [textspeak!] pala muna papalitan un lens.. then [textspeak!] mo na pasukatan  un eyes mo.. mga P350 yta mostly..

wala grado mata ko pero 8 hours a day ako sa computer, pwede ba ko mag eyeglass? san kaya meron affordable? baka magka grado ako sooner or later or hinde naman?
