It may be a matter of belief, but then again, it is all a matter of experience.

I hold that it is true because it happened to us when my mother was pregnant with my brother. It was during the times of extensive blackouts in 1993. We are all sleeping in cushions placed side by side in the sala because our rooms have no windows except for the master's bedroom which has a big glass window with grills. We were able to sleep amidst the summer heat but after a while, I was awaken by a creaking sound similar to a closing-then-opening steel door that needs oil. I dismissed it as nothing because I do not have any idea. My father is also smoking in the patio so I felt that nothing is wrong until he went inside and made quick long strides toward the master's bedroom and awakened my mother. He walked again into the sala, waking everyone. He said he saw a silhouette of a giant bat circling around the house. My mother turned white and told my father "ang nanay (referring to my lola) di sakin sinasabe yan", notioning that she rather be saved but not know My Tita and Nanay Yolly placed open scissors and garlic in every open window. My father got "itak" and several garlic heads and threw them over the roof. The sound ceased and we all slept again with the windows closed this time.
In the morning, all our African lovebirds were dead, probably of fright. It was then I realized kaya siguro tiktik because of the eek-eek sound. The creaking sound is probably due to the flapping of the big wings designed for the heavy human body weight. From then on, the tik-tik has been more than a story our maids told us.

so meaning, hindi lang pala mga kasama ko sa bahay ang nakakaramdam pati din pala un neighbor namin.
maybe un tiktik hindi makalapit because of bawang at itak na hawak ng nanay ko.

after ko manganak ... wala n kami naririnig na kaluskos.

i believe in this. sa tanang buhay ko, once lang ako nakarinig ng sound na "ik-ik" and nng time na yun, buntis yung tita ko.. i could really recall that sound even until now, fresh pa rin sa utak ko although it happened 8 years ago.. tumakbo sa room immediately yung lola ko. i remember madaling araw yun then she asked my aunt to wear a black shorts or panty.. the next day, my aunt had spotting. tapos pinahiran na lang nila ng oil, then nagpatanim kami ng parang malaking plant with thorns, ayun nawala naman.

i dont know if it's true pero niniwala ako. im currently 24 weeks pregnant now and in my 19-20 weeks bago mag christmas. doon ako sa bahay ni boyfriend. May mga nights na late na siya tumatabi sa akin matulog kasi nag lalaro pa ng dota, may time na late narin na uwi. One night 2am ng madaling araw wala pa si boyfriend and i was sleeping alone waiting for him ng may marinig akong ingay ng pusa tapos silent biglang ingay naman ng malakas na hanging na my sound ng tiktik silent again tpos pusa uli at yung same sound ng tiktik  3x na ulit. natakot ako kasi wala si bf at wala naman akong mapagsabihan lahat ng tao sa bahay nila tulog na.. i immediately text him na uwi na siya sabi ko kasi my aswang [textspeak!] my pusa. sabi lang niya "pauwi na. yung pusang orange lang yan ng kapit bahay".. from then pinag suot na ako ng bawang at bala na nakalagay sa red na tela. ayon nawala na...

I think this is true. Nung pregnant din ako, I saw one. I waas watching a movie around 12mn-1am yun. E open yung window sa ulo ko.Una may parang malakas na hangin, then nagkaroon ako ng feeling of being watched so I looked outside the window. ayun! Sa bubong nang neighbor namin (wherein may buntis din sa house na iyon), nakatingin sa window ko...As in sumigaw ako...and takbo sa labas...ginising ko buong house.Pinuntahan nila sa kabila...wala na...
What my in-law did was put garlic sa mga windows,then itak beside my bed, and buntot pagi.Di ko na siya uli naramdaman.

A type of aswang, the Kikik/Tik-Tik, turns into a enormous, prowling bat or bird at night, looking for pregnant women. As it sucks the blood from the fetus with its long proboscis, it makes a 'kik-kik-kik' sound. Other stories relate the kikik as an aswang's familiar, its sound masking the aswang's proximity from would-be victims.

The term wak-wak or wuk-wuk is frequently used for the same creature in the Cebu region. The legends of the wak-wak and kikik are much the same, but the wak-wak is specifically supposed to change into its birdlike form by leaving behind its lower body, much like the manananggal. The cry of a night bird which makes a "wuk-wuk-wuk" sound is believed to be the call of this monster and is feared by superstitious villagers. As with the call of the kikik, the wak-wak is believed able to make its cry sound distant when the creature is near.[citation needed]

The sigbin or zegben[citation needed] has been known as another type of aswang, and alternately, as the kikik's familiar. Its appearance is said to be similar to the chupacabra and the Tasmanian devil, although with spotty fur, wide mouth with large fangs.

One of the most popular legends in the Visayas region is the infamous aswang Tiniente Gimo or Lieutenant Gimo from Dueñas, Iloilo. In addition, The most commonly known in terms is something called Tyanak/ Tianak happens to be as the unborn baby's due abortion.
