Re: odesk, siguro better kung punta ka sa odesk thread sis. Punta ka sa Workplace Tales & Financial Fitness tapos makikita mo na yung odesk thread. Marami kang mababasa dun about odesk, and maybe all the queries at the back of your mind will be answered too.

Actually, walang secret para kumita sa odesk. You just spruce up your resume the way you would do if you were offline. Highlight your strengths and skills. Tapos take odesk tests para makita ng employer if you're really good at the skills you've listed on your resume.

Ang maganda kasi sa odesk walang pressure. You just work at your own pace and time. D mo rin klangan mag-work kung ayaw mo, just as long as you inform your employer about it, or you don't take too many contracts at a time. Ako rin dati di ko siniseryoso ang odesk way back in 2009 when I first joined. But when I got hired in Aug 2010, na-realize ko, eto pala ang magandang raket kasi ikaw magsasabi kung gusto mong maging busy o hindi. Before, I used to work only on 3 to 4 contracts at a time. Ngayon, umabot na sa 14 contracts ang max ko.

Anyway, read back ka na lang dun sis. I'm sure you'll get a lot of tips there from other odeskers like me. Good luck!

Maganda rin po yung idea niyo na mag online na lang ng yarns lalo sa mga crafters talaga.
Downside po e halos lahat na po yata gusto mag adventure trip around the metro lalo na pag mahilig talaga sa mga crafts.
Pero try niyo pa rin po!

Hello po sa lahat! Tanong ko lang po sana kung meron kayong alam na one stop shop na bilihin ng crochet materials at iba pa ng pang crafts (hook earrings, bone rings..) around divisoria.

I've heard meron sa MOA kaso naghahanap ako ng medyo hindi pricey since nagsisimula pa lang din naman ako mag crochet and I'm still learning my way to it. Yung sa Maning's sa may Farmer's, affordable ba products nila dun?

I'd appreciate any information!

Hi girls! dumadami na talaga ang nahihilig sa knitting and crochet! I'm just wondering if naituturo pa ang ganitong crafts sa mga schools ngayon.  Last I heard hindi na eh...

Anyways, I've been crocheting since highschool pero lately ko na lang ulit narevisit itong craft na to.  Right now, I'm a bit upset dahil it seems super onti ng variety ng threads dito sa Pinas either acrylic or mercerized cotton lang 

I was able to check out one yarn shop sa hong kong, grabe parang namulat mata ko! ang daming varieties! Too bad lang I wasn't able to really savor the price if mura ba sya lalabas or not but seeing your posts here and mga crochet/knitting bloggers mukang we desperately need more variety of yarns here sa pinas. 

hmmm... another business venture brewing! what do you think girls?

Yes, mukhang talagang super konti lang ng klase ng yarns natin dito. Kaya nga kokonti rin ang nahihilig sa crafts, kasi nga minsan nakaka-discourage, kahit colors lang di mo pa magaya ang patterns dahil sa sobrang konti ng options.

Rosario is oversold by bloggers, I find. First time kami nagpunta, nabadtrip lang mga kasama ko -- pano wala silang masyadong nabili, and we came all the way from Alabang. hehe

Parang ukay yarn ang tinda dito. It's very dusty, most of the balls are dirty, at swertehan ang good quality yarn. Not to say wag kayo pumunta... I go there as well. Swerte naman ako may nakukuha akong maganda. Tiyagaan lang. Super vacuum ako ng yarn paguwi,minsan kelangan pang labhan muna.(labhan? lol)

Yep, sis. Eto na nga yun. Meron din silang mga tindang mga kinikilong zippers. hehe
May nakuha ako, isang ball ng DMC (embroidery thread). Or at least, yun ang tingin namin. Pati mom ko, tingin, DMC siya.

Meron kasing mga 3 plastic bag ng yarn sa may pinto, merong isang bag puro parang tri-color yarn, yung tipong 3 thread na t-nwist together. (ngek labo magdescribe), tapos madaming mga supot na nakalagay sa shelves. Sabi nung kuya, by supot daw ang bili nun. Sa lower shelves madaming smaller cotton (thread) balls. Pumayag siya wasakin mga supot para makapili ako.

Although dalawang store lang dinaanan namin (kanto saka mejo kanto) -- di ko alam kung meron pang iba. Dun lang ako nabili, pag nagagawi akong Pasig. Yung second store, more on sewing thread and binebenta.

Hi sis, I'm one of those who recommends the Rosario, Pasig yarn stores. My blog does not mean to oversell. I was pointing out that if it's CHEAP yarn you want, then you can go there. Sometimes you just have to sacrifice some things to get them cheaper right? Also, some of the yarns may be dirty or old of course because they are old stocks or factory rejects -- kaya nga mura di ba? It's just up to you as to how and what you are going to purchase from those stores. Diskarte mo na yan if you're going to buy the dusty/dirty ones or not, or if you can find a way to clean them.

The yarn stores in Rosario are also rows of stores. Di lang sya sa kanto. Tyaga lang talaga kung gusto mo makamura. But if you prefer the branded packaged ones, which are sealed and of course definitely cleaner, you can go to Carolina's, Maning's, SM and elsewhere. Yun nga lang, your peso will not go that far.

The target market of my blog are those readers who are practical and who would want to get more value for their money. It intends to help readers who still want to enjoy crafts but don't have that much of a budget to pursue their hobbies.

Ok maybe I should have said some bloggers tend to oversell Rosario? I haven't read your blog or your entry about Rosario, after all. I didn't mean to offend you or any other craft bloggers here. I'm sorry if I did.

I went there to buy yarn a couple of times. Bakit naman ako babalik kung wala akong nahihita diba?Baka nung nagpunta kami, sarado yung ibang stores. I was sharing what I experienced. I'm not telling people not to go.

I was able to visit Dreams Yarnshoppe last Saturday, dami nga ng variety of yarns pero pricey talaga... anyone interested in opening a yarn business let me know... parang namomotivate ako lalo na i'm planning to be a full time mom (5 mo preggy now). I took a leave from work kasi nag bleed ako at 3 months.  Basically what I do everyday is crochet and look for patterns. sobrang restricted lang talaga ako sa materials and yarns! hay!

^^ was able to check the yarn varieties in Dreams Yarnshoppe and pricey nga.  pero ang ganda ng variants nila, may mga malalambot.  very good for clothing crochet patterns.   

i also love crocheting, my favorite past time.   i buy cones of crochet threads sa SM megamall.   my current project is round tablecloth crochet and only got time to do it during weekends.  i got my patterns online lang.   sana matapos ko na so i can try bags naman...

sis, magkaiba ba ang Mannings sa VC Trading? I'm frequent kasi sa VC akala ko eto na yung dating Mannings.. marami rin kasing selections dito and I find more items that cheaper here than carolinas, mejo matagal lang service dito super manual pero carry lang naman...

Ang dame o ng nagawang projects for crochet gusto ko namang gawin yung poncho nahihirapan lang ako mag follow sa pattern saka mag lock.  pano nyo nila-lock yung gawa nyo mga sis after?

Good morning!  I'm planning to learn how to make crochet booties for my baby habang naka materniy leave ako next month.  I really have no idea how to make one. Punta ako sa Farmers to check out some stores there.

Any advice para sa newbies na katulad ko?
