I crochet, although people always freak out when I tell them I do. Hindi raw bagay sakin ahaha. Mostly I make pouches for my gadgets. I really like looking at crochet patterns for stuffed dolls (amigurumi), but I often don't have the time to do them.

I made a friend this cupcake a couple months ago.

And recently I found this super fast pattern for a baby octopus. This is how mine turned out.

I'm terrible at stuffing so it turned out pretty deformed, but I like it anyway.

^ waaaah, that cupcake is soo cute! I've always wanted to learn how to do amigurumi, but never had the time, or patience.

The only thing I've crocheted so far was a Gryffindor scarf for my little brother. Kaso di parin tapos, after 2 years! I have a really short attention span. Tsaka don't know where to buy all the bigger sized hooks.

^Di ko ata kayang gumawa ng scarf, sobrang haba!  Thats why I stick to super small patterns para hindi ako mainip. Hanggang tingin lang talaga ako sa more complicated patterns hahaha!

I got my big crochet hook at Carolina's in SM Megamall, but that was a couple years ago pa. You can try checking out the places that sell thick yarn to see if they have big crochet hooks too, like Craft World (also at SM Mega, near toy kingdom) and the notions area at 2F Landmark Trinoma (it's small but it always seems to be well-stocked; haven't asked if they sell big hooks tho), and the cloth/yarn area at  Market!Market! (nasa ground floor ata yun? basta i remember it being near stalls of pearl sellers)

Minsan din bumibili ako ng discounted crochet magazines sa Book Sale. Isang mag makakasuper daming patterns ka na, worth P75 lang.
Ang hilig ko naman gawin sa crocheting is Amigurumi - the Japanese art of crocheting cute stuff toys.

who here does crochet for business? sa ngayon ginagawa ko syang sideline. though friends dito sa area pa lang namin ang mga suki/nabebentahan ko. i do beanies, shrugs, cellphone case and headbands. Not so much naman ang kita and nakakangawit. saka not so much ang repeat order (kase sila sila pa din ang bumibili hehe e for personal use lang naman). Hindi ko magawa as of now ang bulk orders dahil ako lang naman ang gumagawa and sinisingit ko lang sya sa aking daily activities as a mom with an energetic kid.

hi mga sis! first timer lang po ako sa crochet, dalawa pa lang output ko--headband for my pamangkin and small coin purse....

gusto ko sana magtry ng amigurumi, though wala pa akong idea talaga  , will browse na lang sa internet...

would like to ask sana where kayo buy ng fiber fill para sa amigurumi projects nyo at elastic thread or yarn ba yun para sa headband? baka me ganito na kayo projects, share po naman...

pasali po, i used to sell cellphone holders probably two years ago, when i got really hooked to it, but that's all i could do, cellphone holders and coicn purse, i didn't follow any patterns, those were just trial and error. Couple of weeks ago, i learned the love knot from youtube, the next day i bought yarns and needle from heavenly stitchin in moa, and here i am... making my own shawl, unstoppable..until i realized kulang ang nabili kong yarn kasi 2 na lang yung available nung color na nalike ko..too bad  i like the color pa naman,

i badly want to learn how to crochet right now, may nakita kasi akong nakakalat na maninipis na yarn dito sa house, kaso i don't have crochet hooks, i looked for patterns na din, kaso di ko maintindihan.

grabe i applaud everyone who can make clothes, scarves and even a business out of crocheting!

i love the hobby too, once you get into the rhythm nakakarelax. Pero in order to finish something it really takes a lot of time and effort.

i love to crochet pero stopped again kasi i sprained my wrists so hinay hinay and haven't held my needle for a month already. I love making scarves thats the easiest for me to make. especially when i do tunisian stitches which i find easier to do than knitting..giving the same knitting effect.

i was planning to make a blanket kasi using tunisian stitches pero upto now i havent started anything kaya bumili nalang ako ng totoong kumot harhar.

i also made attempts to crochet a beret and 2 hats todo imbento kasi tamad ako to read patterns oh and i also made a fingerless glove..prob is i di ko pa nagagawa the other hand eh since imbento lang rin my pattern so goodluck baka maging socks nalang sila in the end or potholders
