Is it true na nagco-cause ng teeth disalignment ang binky?

When my youngest brother was a baby pa it was a problem for my parents to wean him off his pacifier. What my dad did was to put Tabasco sauce  on it one time. My brother never asked for it again hahahahaha

I want to use pacifier kay baby. we bought Ainon pacifier for newborn (she's 1 mo. old) pero she spits it out sabay sira ng mukha. kakatawa nga eh. she comfort feeds kasi. hindi natutulog hangga't wala ang nipple ko sa bibig niya. kahit busog na siya at na gising after nakatulog ng konte, the only way to let her sleep is to breastfeed her again. sinusuka na ang milk most of the time. kahit kargahin namin, paglagay ulit sa crib, magigising.

how do i let her use the pacifier?  help! pano siya sanayin para hindi niya ireject?

same thing with my baby girl. she's now 7 weeks old. Have tried different pacifiers na pero was epek. Iluluwa lang tapos sabay iyak dahil ayaw nya talaga. The only thing that will ease her is my nipples. Lage na ngang nagspit ng milk dahil busog na pero dede pa rin esp at night.ayaw matulog pg wala ang nipples hehe

Maybe pag 3 months nya ipatry ko ulit ang pacifier baka magustuhan na niya.

Our pedia says no to this. Baka mahirapan daw mag-wean, tapos may chance na masungki, or mag-protrude yung two front teeth ni baby in the future(rabbit-teeth)

My baby has been using pacifiers since she was 4 weeks old. She likes suckling and i'd rather she suck on pacifier than her hands. It helps her sleep in the afternoon, she doesn't need it at night. All us 4 siblings were pacifier babies and our teeth are fine.

Binky what kept me sane sa babies ko. Pero, iba iba sa mga babies ko and hindi ko sinanay na matagal. Pag lang naghahanap sila ng sucking comfort during the first weeks nila.

Yung iba saglit lang and pag umayaw na sila, tinatanggal ko kasi it meant, na ease na niya yung comfort needs niya.

Good thing, hindi sila nag binky till more than 5 months at nawawala naman yung need nila to suck. Pag mga lumagpas dun and yet they are still on paci, usually mahirap na i-wean out sila and might reach till their toddler years (like a security blanket rather than a newborn's natural suckling comfort needs).

Hi mga mommies, we're trying the Tommee Tippee soother now kasi my baby girl keeps on putting her hands on her mouth all the time. Has anyone tried using this? We just recently bought this. Iba kasi shape ng nipple niya, mas mataba.

Pano niyo pinatigil yung pacifier sa mga babies niyo? My daughter still uses paifier and she's turning 2 this September.

Akin nga din eh. Super pang comfort nya yun eh. lalo na pag naiyak.

^i cut a small portion (slightly bigger than the hole of a teat) on the tip of the binky. Nag-iiba ang sensation when they suck. I had to remove my daughter off the binky cold turkey cause she had a bad cold and the pedia is afraid that this may lead o ear infection. We had several days of sleepless nights but eventually di na din niya hinanap.

^she was a little over 1yo if I remember correctly. Sorry mom-nesia moment ako. But definitely she was off the binky months before she turned 2

Using a pacifier may cause nipple confusion and might interfere with breastfeeding.  Consider the risk before letting your baby use a binky.  And isn't it a good thing that she prefers your breast to an artificial nipple?   

My kids never used a binky and I'm glad because it's one less thing to wean off off them when they grew up.  Ang hirap na nga i-wean off the bottle so I could just imagine if I had to wean them off the pacifier pa.

^^That's good Ally. Si Zoe kase 2 years old na next month but binky dependent pa din. I was telling my husband the other day na I need yata to go in leave for a couple of days to focus in weaning Zoe from her binky.

My daughter's 2 and she's still binky dependent. Her dentist even saw her with it and commented what a big help the binky was for his kids as well. I asked her dentist about weaning because her teeth might protude and he said the only time I should be concerned is if she has permanent teeth and she's still binky dependent so I have until she gets her permanent teeth to wean her. No rush!

Iba iba talaga ang bata. My first child took the binky til he was only 5 months. My second child never liked the binky at all. This third one is binky dependent. It keeps me sane also so ok lang until we can wean her from it.

^^That's what my pedia said too. I was concerned naman about the spaces in her teeth and her pedia said na they will move pa naman when the molars come out. Chaka better na din daw kesa super close with each other kase bigger risk of crooked teeth.

Kahapon, nawala yung pacifier ng anak ko. Hanap kami ng hanap tapos ginawan namin ng kwento na kinuha ng puppy yung doodoo nya. Tapos pag naghahanap siya, tinatanong ko din siya kung nasan na, ang sasabihin niya, kinuha ng puppy. Natetempt na ako na bilhan ng bago pero kailangang maging firm para itigil na niya. Pag naghahanap siya, sasabihin niya, "mommy, doo..." tapos iibahin niya yung babanggitin niya. Milk na lang daw. Haha.

At kaninang umaga, nakita ng yaya niya yung pacifier, nakalagay sa loob ng box ng mga ipit niya. Haha. Tinapon na namin.
