hi guys,

nag-file ako as skilled worker last jan 2007 pero up to now, wala pa yung papers ko. my agency is advising me to re-file my application for speedier processing because of the new immigration laws. do you think i should do this or just wait out my ongoing application?

you should have gotten your file # by now, through a letter sent to you by the Canadian Embassy ... that letter will also state how many months you will be hearing from them (eg. 60 months) --- have you received it already? if yes, you can't re-file another application. just wait for their communication as per your next step.

got my immigrant visa last april 8..my family and i are leaving on june 9..

it took me 4 years to process. i was still single when i applied.

i applied directly to the embassy and just follow the instructions. no agency.. so i spent few bucks lang..

ielts...- i took the exam when i got a letter from them that i have to submit within 60 days the result of my English proficiency exam..luckily i got 8.5 ielts, that means i got the automatic 16 points

^Congrats sis! Sana nga dumating na rin yung sa amin.  Hindi ako nag-IELTS nung humingi ng update, pero I'm hoping that everything will go well, or else, I have to take IELTS pa rin if they'll require me to.

tagal rin ng visa dumating. had my medicals pa last july..

kaya we need to leave the country by june

mabilis nagreply ang Canada Revenue Agency noong nag-apply ako ng Canada Child Tax Benefit last August 2008. nareceive ko agad yung notice from CRA ng September, stating na na-direct deposit na nila sa bank acct ko yung july-september entitlement. tapos may na-receive din akong  Universal Child Care Benefit cheque, kahit di ko naman inapply yung UCCB.

sis, we will land on june 9...mabilis lang ba process ng child tax benefit? magkano rin kaya matangap ko

sis, mabilis lang i-process ng Canada Revenue Agency ang CCTB. nagdownload ako ng form sa  http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/bnfts/menu-eng.html . 1 month after mailing the form, nagreply na ang CRA.
apply ka riin ng UCCB & GST/HST credit.

GST/HST - $152 (quarterly)
CCTB - $268 (monthly)
UCCB - $100 (monthly)

1 yr old din ang anak ko nang mag land kami dito sa Canada noong June 2008.

@ cel_nate0524 tama si sis abie mabilis ang processing ng CCTB/UCCB, GST/HST dito sa Canada.
Sa unang taon your child can get the maximum amount, kapag may work na kayo and nagdeclare ng Income tax that would be the time mababawasan ang benefits ng bata depende sa income ninyo.
