update on my application sisses: i just received my passport request for visa stamping! 

however, conflictct siya sa vacation ko. unexpected kasi, maaga dumating.  so i'll try to ask the embassy if i can submit my passport to them while nasa pinas ako.

dito kami sa filipino agency in satwa,dubai. reliable naman sila kasi marami na kaming kilala na nakaalis na from them. kumuha ako ng nbi clearance sa pinas during my vacation. pero pwede rin dito ka kumuha kung di ka makakauwi sa pinas, medyo mahal ng lang babayaran mo sa police fee. pm mo na lang ako if you are interested to know how.  nag ielts na rin si hubby dito.

Hi sis!  Mahal nga ang bayad sa NBI processing dito plus the fact na napaka-unaccommodating ng mga nagtatrabaho sa embassy.  Anyway, sabi sa akin nung Agency, di naman daw talaga required yung IELTS depende lang daw sa officer kung hahanapan ka pa talaga.  Nagdadalawang isip tuloy ako kung kukuha pa ako ng IELTS kasi medyo mahal din 800 AED kasi.

^ si hubby kasi ni require ng agency na mag ielts kasi di mo raw masasabi baka either interview or hanapan ka ng english fluency result na lang. kaya mas mabuti din daw ang prepared. anyway naka pag exam na sya sa wollongong pero di umabot yung score nya, di na sya mag rere take instead kuha na lang ng documents from our relatives in canada para ma add sa points.

^Larla, long way to go pa.  Usually mga 2 years pa.  Pero may mga sinuswerte rin na mas maagang tinatawagan to update the docs.

^Sis Ysang, kahit nga receipt lang ng IELTS muna ipasa namin pwede na.  What do you think, kukuha ba ako o hindi?  Kasi yung job ko ngayon, it requires a high proficiency in English language tapos Canadian pa direct supervisor ko.

question naman on tourist visa again, baka meron jan na may alam, how long ba para malaman kung granted or denied for visa? and dapat ba original bank book/statement, original ITR nila etc ang kailangan i submit?

Just want to share my Insights. Actually sobrang gusto ko na makarating sa Canada, right now andito pako sa Dubai. So like some other Gtalkers in UAE try ko rin Yung Agency dito. Mejo gamble na on my part kasi may money involve. In total 23,000 dirhams ang parang placement Visa Fees,Flight ticket and all that (although D naman bigla yung payment). So I asked my sister kasi bayaw ko who's now in Canada as Meat Cutter nag agency sya sa Pinas.Around Php 80k lang ang ginastos. Tapos may balita pa daw na mas mababa na ngayon ang Government fee ng Canada according sa agency na yun aroun 50-60k na lang.

The thing is, parang napakalaki ng difference.Dhs 23,000 x Php13 = Almost 300k. Placement palang yan and work permit I think only last for two years, kumbaga di pa naman sure after 2 years magiging Permanent Resident na.

 Parang sobrang laki ng margin. Syempre once you get there babayad parin ng Accomodations plus Fare (If hindi provided ng Company).


I still tried my luck in this Agency. They ask me initial amount Dhs 1000 Processing fee. Although in my knowledge Bawal yun especially here in UAE. Pero kumbaga, I'll take this risk kumbaga 1000 hindi pa masyado mabigat.Isasacrifice kona yung amount na yun, atleast may 1st step ako.

Just want to share....And ganon ba kalaki inaabot ng Processing Fee for Work Permit sa Canada?

i have no idea sa work permit sis...pero, sobrang expensive naman ng fees ng agency mo..


i directly applied sa embassy..tama, yung isang sis...very self explanatory. cant find any reason, why we need those agency..dont have idea, kung ma fast track nila application..

i just paid my application, then my husband, tapos dumating si baby..last year, i paid for our landing fee...yun lang...i think di umabot ng P100K

^urine, then yung sa eyes, medical history hinihingi din nila, interview na medyo mahaba regarding your medical background (ex. meron ba sa family may hepa, etc.) then breast exam din, check ng marks sa body (birthmark, mole), stool exam (hindi ko lang sure kung required pero nung nagpamedical ako last november hindi naman ako hiningan, pero andito na ko sa canada sis ha). actually depende kung gaano kahigpit yung doctor sa examination eh. meron nga sa guys daw, kinakapa pa ng doctor yung balls nila.

may tatoo rin si hubby, so additional test...

walang stool sis...urine and blood test (hiv etc.) xray with your negative picture

Im wondering is this letter is the same as what you mentioned as AOR.  So far, thats the only letter we got. And if they will wait for 90 days pa, then sa March pa uumpisahan ang application process.

  tell your hubby sis to write the embassy that he is still interested.tell them that he is now married, or has a child already...then write them that you hubby will be looking forward to receive the letter of update

oo yun din ang advise ko sa yo kumuha ka pa rin ng ielts as an additional points. kami rin receipt lang ang pinasa namin sa agency to follow na lang yung result:)

They will tell you pagkatapos ng interview kung denied or hindi ang tourist visa application. Original yung bank statements. Ewan ko lang iba. Dalhin na lahat ng original para sigurado.

hi sis chokulit. i think this year nga makukuha na ninyo ang inyong canadian visa dahil pinag-update na kayo ng documents. nabasa ko kasi sa isang forum, may isang applicant from UAE na nakuha ang visa  six months after niyang mag-submit ng documents.

hi sis chinesebabe25! dapat ang unang natanggap na letter from the embassy ay yung AOR (acknowledgement of receipt), doon ninyo malalaman ang file number ng  husband mo. baka di ninyo lang na-receive.

yun namang letter na natanggap ninyo last year, i think lahat ng 2004 applicants pinadalhan ng ganyang letter (ayon sa nabasa ko sa isang forum). no need to reply kasi ipagpapatuloy naman ninyo yung application di ba. i think malapit na kayong makareceive ng letter requesting for updated docs. may mga july 2004 applicants na naka-receive na nga update letter.

kvandenhaak thanks sis, additional q naman.. pagka pick up ba ng embassy ng application forms gaano katagal usually bago maka receive ng reply?

^I'm not sure about applications done via courier pero kasi ang mother ko tumawag lang sa special number to schedule for interview. During the interview nya dala dala ang filled-up application forms and supporting documents and they right away told her to pick-up her passport with visa afternoon of same day. Three weeks ata hinintay nya para ma-interview.
