yeah glycolic acid is super helpful for chicken skin too.. regular exfoliation naman for prevention..

i have chicken skin rin pero sa may elbow. i scrub it lang when i shower, tapos lotion, then petroleum jelly. pansin ko mejo smooth na sya at less visible na [textspeak!] bumps...

i bought sulfur soap i used it until maubos mga 2 bars after that di na sya bumalik nawala na rin yung itchy red patches aroung sa chicken skin.

hi sis summer they have it sa mga department store, sa mga soap area.

pero i suggest you get the pricey na sulfur soap kasi the cheaper ones tend to leave patches of dry skin.

i believe the scientific name for this is folliculitis...like what primadona12 said, you should try VMV's id line. basically, you should try products na may salicylic acid content.

im sorry sis but i have to disagree with the folliculitis thing, folliculitis is diffrent po from what we know as chicken skin, pag folliculitis kasi it means inflammation of the hair follicle..

Keratosis Pilaris Tips


-Use mild soaps or gentle body washes.

-Apply moisturizers frequently -- For better absorption, apply to the skin while it's still moist after showering.

-Take tepid showers rather than hot baths.

-Light exfoliation with an abrasive pad may sometimes be of help, however scrubbing the areas of KP is not recommended, and can worsen the condition.

-Keeping areas of KP exfoliated with a Salicylic Acid or AHA based lotion works best.

-In addition: For the UAs, wag na wag basain after plucking or waxing. After ko magwax ng UAs, i apply cold compress to close the pores. Keep it dry. So far, it helped naman na mawala ang chicken skin sa UAs ko.

am seeing small bottle of salicylic sa mercury, pede ba apply it directly?
