kahit saang restaurant talaga di mo na alam kung malinis kinakain mo. i always listen to magic 89.9 pag thursday about industry secrets, at yung mga callers mostly sa mga restaurants nire-reveal nila kung gaano kadumi sa kitchen. as in pati yung mga kinakainan nina dj mo twister nagulat sila na may kadumihan. hays!

 i worked in a restaurant before sa amin once na may mga ganoon na complain ex ants  we dont straight away put the food na may ants sa kitchen as much as possible lets say sa counter na nakikita ng guest para sure siya na bago talaga ang ihahain sa kanya ulit .then once na na iserve na ang 2nd food  saka lang ipapasok sa kitchen ang food na nireklamo

Kaya hubby and I try to be very nice when eating out. Nagtrabaho kasi siya sa barko, once daw na bad ang customer yung kitchen daw sometimes do questionable things.

for me overrated an TGIF.nothing speacial i dined in once and i think thats it..yung uod naman it happens talaga sa mga gulay..mas nakakatakot if sa meat or fish siya makita..

I've worked in the restaurant before pero not there in the Philippines..and I'm so glad I have not witnessed anything like that. Our restaurant is in a 5star hotel so they really protect their reputation. (such things can cause food poisoning!)

Though I know there are a lot of horror stories na katulad niyan.  Kaya dapat kapag nagrereklamo in a restaurant hindi yung puro kaartehan, dapat you would also sound courteous kahit imbyerna ka na  - and by saying this I just remember my ex boss, how she handled her complaint to the waiter without sounding rude or irritated.

I pity those people working in the F&B dept doing such things, I mean they may get away with a couple or a handful, but they will get caught eventually or if not..there's always what we call "Karma"

bottomline mga sis, wag na tayong kumain sa labas. aheheh.. luto na lang tayo sa mga bahay bahay natin. magandang kainan [textspeak!] nakikita mo yung cooking at serving area para at least kita kung marumi o malinis sila magluto mga sisess.

a year or two ago, we rode a train, they served breakfast. yung food ni hubby, napansin nya in the middle of his meal, meron insect. so he called the attention of the train attendant and showed it to her. the attendant in turn called the chief purser yata yon, and she called the central kitchen (that was what she said when we asked) and naririnig talaga namin na they were discussing. they were apologetic, pero to our surprise, hindi man lang nag offer na palitan yung food.

i have read a lot of horror stories happening to food you ordered once it goes back to the kitchen when a customer complains, nakakatakot tuloy mag dine out kasi even if you are well meaning, the waiters/staff might still  take it differently at babuyin ang food order.

i worked for a short while in a french resto/bakery, meron camera sa kitchen so hindi pwede gumawa ng anomalya. even so bec. baka may mag complain na customer and sue the resto. in most resto kitchen also abroad, meron camera, and strict talaga sa food handling and overall cleanliness, otherwise papasara sila ng food health inspection board, or worst they might be used by a customer.

pero meron pa rin nakakalusot, like yung mga chinese resto sa chinatown.

Ewww!! ano ba yun!! So dapat pala di na magreklamo hehe. Kasi baka naman kahit nice ka then maartehan sayo yung staff ganun din gagawin sayo. Or as suggested ng mga sis natin dito, get a full refund then leave

grabe naman ang mga restaurants na yan..ang mahal ng mga pag kain nila. konting servings tapos mahal na bayad..tapos may palpak pala..mga sis, if your craving for veggies salad, sa bahay na lang kayo gumawa. sa akin, ok lang kung repolyo instead of lettyce..mahal kase db? haha..mas alam pa natin na sigurado kahit papano na malinis kase tayo gumawa..

Grabe sobra naman yan, naku sis I posted last 2009 about TGIF Trinoma yung rant ko sa kanila about being a snob kapag hindi ka nila feel like us family kami nun trip nilang asikasuhin yung mga yuppies or teenagers. Grrrrr, sabi ko sa sarili ko first and last ko na magdine sa Friday's kasi ang pangit talaga ng feeling na tipong yung mom ko parang nagbebeg na to get this or yung order namin saan na. Tapos ganyan pa. Sobra naman ata sila. Nakakainis.

Pero like most of you sisses said, my hubby used to work in a fastfood, madumi talaga yung kitchen, kaya siya na nagaadvise sa akin na kapag kakain kami sa labas fastfood to high end resto pa, relax lang. You'll never know, sabi pa niya ingat pa sa mga mabulang Iced tea lalo na kapag mataray ka, or else may spit ang iced tea mo.

OMG, dapat nirereport ang mga ganitong food sanitation problems,  also right nating mga consumers mag complain pag may problema.  eh kung matatakot tayo mag complain, dahil baka dumihan ang food, paano na tayo nyan.  dapat ang management and owners mag lagay ng cctv cameras sa mga kitchens nila and staff area.  Coz pagmay lumabas na nasira ang tyan or nagkasakit because of these, sila din masisira.

usually naman in the phils walang cctv ang kitchen, so even if a customer complains to owners, i doubt if they do something about it.

kaya doble inggat when dining out. if you are not satisfied, opt to forgo the order and dine somewhere else. it may  be an inconvenience pero better safe than sorry.

Had lunch at TGIF in Glorietta kanina. As usual, it was just ordinary. Had steak fajitas, chicken fingers, and mozarella sticks. BUT nag-enjoy ako sa performance ng crew ng 'teach me how to dougie' hahaha

my friends and i love their appetizers, especially the platter with fried mozza, buffalo wings and potato skins. hope they bring back the onion rings and friday's mushrooms.
