^I'm on an H1b, if I get married to an american citizen where do I go to file for a change of status to a permanent resident?  Do we have to go to a Philippine embassy for that?

pasensya na makulit ako.... yung di ko lang ma-get is kailangan ba na may gagawin na forms from uscis... or good enough na yung para sa principal then proceed na with the interview sa us embassy for h4...

Once approved na yung H1B, that's all the document that the H4 needs for the application. No forms that you need to sent to USCIS. Your Visa will be given by the embassy. Dependent yung H4 sa H1B, so ang kelangan mo lang, proof na dependent [show marriage (for spouse)and birth certificate (for kids)], then show the same documents that the H1B holder has.

You're welcome sis. Ni-google ko pa yung meaning ng secpa. Security paper pala from NSO. Yup, kelangan nga yung mga certificates nyo, in NSO paper na. Ikaw ba yung H1B sis?

question lang. for h4 visa without the h1b holder kailangan ba na original notice of action yung ipakita or good enough na yung photocopy? dinala ko kasi mga original docs.

^Sa tingin ko, ok lang yung copy ng documents, yun din naman ang sabi sa website ng US embassy.

Kung malapit sa city, expect mo na higher ang rent, like mga 900-1200. Meron kasi akong friend na Belmont area, she pays 1200 for a 1 bedroom apt. Mag-background check sila, and kung wala ka pang history, they usually asks a copy of your employer's letter.
