H1B cannot petition siblings or even parents. Kailangan GC holder ka na before petitioning.

I am so happy!

My husband had been given an H1B visa.. He filled it under premium processing last nov 25 and had been approved just last dec 5, 2008....

He told me madami pa din talagang hospitals that are needing nurses and there are non cap one's like his employer.

Now, paano pag sa December, pagpunta nya sa US ay pilitin sya ng mom nya na mag-stay na doon. In the first place, hindi pa sya graduate dito (so basically anong work ang maghihintay sa kanya dun? Gasoline boy? Cashier etc? Come on!) Secondly, kung sinasabi ng mom nya na mag-aaral sya dun (further studies or i-cocontinue ang studies), magkano naman ang gagastusin sa college? Mahirap yata yun dahil mahal ang cost of living sa US and nandun din ang sister nya, then nag-rerent lang sila etc.

What do you think-- ano ang ways na gagawin ng mom nya? Magsestay ang bf ko dun for years? H1-B and mom nya and H4 ang bf ko. Paano/ ano ba ang mga process na gagawin ng mom nya, e mag-21 years old na ang bf ko. Help naman dyan, yung mga knowledgeable sa US visa conversion etc. Iiwanan ba nya ako? How many years? Or pwde ba syang i-petisyon at dito muna sya stay sa Pilipinas? What??? Mayroon bang student visa pabalik dito sa Pilipinas. I mean, mag-aaply sya sa US ng visa para makapag-aral/ continue his studies dito sa Pilipinas? If yes, what type of visa is that and how long yun ma-poprocess? He needs to be back 1st week of january 2009 eh. huhuhu

hi, I hope I'm not too late to answer your question.....anyway, another thing your bf can do is go to US under his H4 visa, then after his mom become a GC holder his status will also change as an immigrant like his mom. Then he can either petition you to come to US or he can go back there in Pinas finish his course then come back in US and get you. Para masulit din yung visa nya especially since his almost over 21. Kasi pag ma over cya 21 his mom need to petition him again and it will take more years of waiting.

Yes, there's a recession here but he can still work naman. Just need patients and tyaga then he will be able to work sa field nya. Kahit naman dyan sa Pinas he will still need to do hard work to succeed. Pero IMO lang naman, kahit may recession dito mas madali makita yung results sa pagod mo. Ang question lang naman eh kung ganito yung route ang papasukin nyo, eh enough ba ang foundation nyo as a couple to withstand the test of being in a long distance relationship.

si bf ko,nakapunta siya sa US dahil pinetition silang buong family ng lolo niya nung 2005. sa november 2010 pa lang siya magiging american citizen.
ngayon po, ano kaya ang mas mabilis na way para makuha niya ko, fiance visa or spouse. mas mabilis ba if magpapakasal na lang muna kame bago siya maging US citizen or fiance na lang? tia

sis, spouse ang mas mabilis since kailangan ng proof na kayo talaga ng bf mo, mas matibay na katibayan ang marriage certificate, pictures...

Im not sure sis pero enough proof din naman siguro yun. la pa kasi ako nakausap about fiance visa. kung may ngsabi sayo na mas mabilis ang fiance, baka mabilis din naman, baka may kakilala siya na ganun ang experience.

Yung sa ken kasi, based on personal expriences of my friends and family. Married sila eh. H1b ang husband/wife then nagapply sila ng dependent visa h4, sandali lang naksunod na sila kagad, depende sa availability ng date of interview nila dito sa pinas wherein ikaw ang mgschedule mismo sa us embassy. Call lang naman yun or online scheduling...

It would be best to browse the I-130 forum since sa fiance/spouse visa ka papasok. Ang H1B visa kasi, almost automatic na approved ang dependents like spouse and children kung under H1B ang principal. I myself is under H4 visa.

^sis it's pretty bad here, but there are some industries that are not affected as much, like healthcare. pero totoo, mahirap talaga, everybody is tightening their belts. pero kahit saan naman, kahit sa pilipinas ganyan din.

i've a question for h1b holders who had their visas stamped in manila: did you have to pay for the visa fee of 135USD pa rin, just like any visa applicant?
