^ onga, oh well, at least 4 hours pa siya. Yung compaq laptop ko, wala ng one hour ngayon so it's constantly plugged in. Kaya hindi na siya pwedeng tawaging mobile laptop But my hubby loves it kasi it has never broken down kahit minsan:D

sorry im rather clueless when it comes to netbooks...do they have a DVD rom /player?  or do you have to get an external one?

also, aside from the smaller size, does it mean that they have less power and memory than normal notebooks, too?

netbooks are ultra mobile pc's. it doesnt come with a built in DVD drive but other than that it has most of the features of a laptop like webcam, usb ports, memory card reader (for some models). i can't say that it's less powerful most of the netbooks have a minimum of 1.3 Ghz of processor, a standard 1GB RAM and 120GB hard drive. the only downside is the graphics. but for browsing and some computing needs, netbooks are capable enough.

yup i looked at some notebooks and netbooks over the weekend nga and the sales staff told me i'd have to buy an external dvd drive. the netbooks seem super handy though and they are really cute!  there are some really nice Acer ones with 12-inch monitors (not bad) and i think almost regular-sized keyboards. i still might go for the regular-sized notebook, though, 'cause i'd like to do some dvd-watching and also do some minor photo editing on photoshop.

do you think netbooks are okay for photoshopping too, or babagal ba?  i wonder about the difference between 1.3 Ghz and 2.0 Ghz...malaki ba ang difference sa processor power?

pwede naman mag photo editing sa netbook wag lang siguro masyado heavy yung file. maliit lang kasi graphic card nya eh. kung simple applications lang gagamitin mo you wouldn't notice the difference between 1.3 and 2.0Ghz processor.

thanks...i got Acer Aspire one, yung blue. I was eyeing for Lenovo sana kaya lang i grabbed the free ODD from Acer. Ok na rin...happy naman ako so far.

question: I have a 6-cell battery on my MSI wind but so far, it only lasts for about four hours. Is this normal for a 6-cell batt? Ewan siguro I was kinda expecting a lot more, say kahit about 6 hours? What do you think is the reasonable batt length for a 6-cell?

i just bought an msi wind notebook. i love it kasi ang bilis ha. i got the pink one sa complink sa MOA. i ask the tech kung meron pang pink. they have 2 remaining pa daw.

paano pala paganahin mic sa acer aspire one? may nadownload kasi ako parang videoke kaso hindi nagana mic.... pang recording lang ba mic nito?

xxxk price nya sis.  buy ka na lang ng dvd drive. i bought mine na din dun at 3,500. panasonic brand. medyo i had a problem lang ngayon  sa start up. stack up na after lumabas ng icons sa desktop. hay...
i brought it back yesterday sa store and nireinstall nila yung windows. ok naman kahapon kaya lang today naghahang na naman after installing norton antivirus. i don't know why. wala pa naman akong ibang ginagawa.ano kaya pwede ko gawin dito?

Pa-recommend naman ng ok na model.  Ang purpose ko lang is to watch videos in You tube, Daily Motion, etc.    Thanks!

naobserve ko lang na most of netbooks, Atom ang operating system nila. Ok ba? For internet browsing, documents. Mostly ganun lang... but mahilig din kasi ako sa casual games (e.g. diner dash, wedding dash and the like) eh, kaya ba?

Am very satisfied with my HP Mini.  I have brought it along on overseas travel... basta dala ko my USBs okay na....  for business and personal use.

Should be easier to lug on tomorrow's weekend break to Macau, coz I was able to get a small-sized ACE black bag to carry it in from Travel Club.
Just the right size....and enough space for its charger and my USBs.  Also something that my husband will not look weird carrying for me.

sis you have 2 choices of processors. there's intel atom and VIA. and also 2 choices for OS, windows XP and linux. kung mahilig ka mag games, i would suggest mag notebook ka kasi baka maaga lumabo ang mata mo sa sobrang liit ng screen. besides hindi mo ma-aappreciate yung display kasi mababa lang talaga specs nya.
