Sis Kim did u get the most expensive one? (sorry I cant be more specific since its bawal to post prices here ) --- thats the one I got and it came with a FREE 100+ GB external HD.

Ah, that figures. Kasi I got the MSI WIND that went for xxxk.  So no free external hd for me.

In addition to my kwento she said she paid in cash kasi bawal daw (her term) na hindi eh ako I paid using my credit card and even got it at 0% for 12 months. Actually sabi nga sa akin ayaw ng card at installment pero tinarayan ko and said "Ah ganun ba? At baket hindi?!? Sige sa iba nalang ako bibili! Now lang ako nakakita ng tumatanggi sa grasya" --- sabay talikod. Hinabol ako so ang sabi sa akin ng sales "Ok po ma'am pahiram nalang po ng credit card and ID. So ako naman labas ng platinum card

Moral of the story: Hindi sila consistent so it means you can also make tawad at may loopholes sa kwento nila

Ay, that's true. They would first say na hindi puwede other cards, dapat BPI lang. But when you insist, bibigay rin. Haha. Sale na yun eh, ang arte pa nila. I bought mine in cash eh, but the 2nd one I bought for my mom I paid using my CC. May surcharge na P500.

I bought mine nga pala sa PC Corner Gilmore.

Same here! Got my MSI Wind there, too. I wonder kung totoong walang dumating na black sa kanila. I was told white & pink lang talaga ang nakarating, and out of stock na ang white. Oh well. I'm happy with the one I got naman.

^Sis its illegal na mag surcharge when using CC ang alam ko so I told them that and wala sila surcharge sa akin.

just got back from v-mall! i got to tinker with the msi wind! it was loooove! 
wala nga daw black na dumating sabi, white and pink lang ang currently available! out of stock na ang white sa ibang stores..

na-try ko mag-type...feels like my 12" laptop ang keyboard! 
yung webcam, ok naman!
yung mic nga lang ang hindi ko na-try..

mga sis, post nyo naman dito please kapag na-try nyo na ang mic ah?

btw, yung 3-cell battery, how long does it last with your wifi on?

60gig sya, wifi, and yun linux OS pinapalitan namin ng XP.. 4-cell batt, 900grams, with free bag .. happy happy si hubby.. super magaan compared sa toshiba and acer nya, hehe

questions mga sis:

1)kamusta ang wifi connection ng msi wind, it doesn't flicker naman ba? stable ba ang connection nya?

2)malinaw ba ang mic? like kapag voice chat sa ym, could the other party hear you enough?

3)loud enough ba ang built-in speakers? good quality sound?

^For questions #1 & #3, my answer would be yes. Ang wifi connection naman would also depend on the source, be it you or the local coffee shop. The speakers sound a bit tinny to be but since its a small laptop what can u expect?

What may good for me may not be the same for you sis. Visit a reseller nalang and have a look yourself, iba pa rin pa ikaw na ang naka-experience

My MSI Wind is acting up, pagising ko ayaw na mag connect sa wifi dito sa condo! before i slept naman i was here in gt pa on a wifi connection tapos pagising ko wala na! samantalang my macs are up and about happy as a clam with wifi! grrr pinepeste ako may presentation at prelim ko na next week and im super dooper busy grrrr i may have to cut class tomorrow so i can bring it back. i want to have it replaced grrrrr talaga at magwawala ako pag hindi nila pinalitan! peste sila wala pang isang linggo nagloloko na unit nila! 

will update tom kung good after sales service sila hmpf!

  moral lesson. wag magipon ng isang katutak na lappy ha ha ha. to solve your problem, try to remove your wifi device from the device manager and reinstall it again. that should do the trick.

yup tatakbo ang photoshop sa wind. regarding sa bagal, kahit anung lappy pag masyado na malaki yung file mo or madami ka na layers sa photoshop medyo babagal refresh rate nya.

intel dual core performs better than atom no doubt about it. atom is made for ultra portable and other low power applications. since its smaller it consumes less power giving you more than 3 hrs of battery use each charge. as compared to less than an hour with intel core duo.

update: Acer Aspire One is now out in the market... another ultra mobile pc!  it's cheaper than MSI Wind and Asus eee pc 900!

watch out for Asus eee pc 901 and 1000 and 1000H....
and oh, Dell will be releasing their umpc soon!
