TICKS! Please Help

hi mga sis. May asuntol pa ba sa Mercury drug? eto gamit namen sa aso namen mga 30 yrs ago..pero saaso kongayon, hidi ko pa natrtry. Gusto ko din subukan apple cider vinegar..grabe na kase yung doggie namne, naawa ako..ang ganda pa naman nya kahit matanda na..sabi nga ng family ko  baka dahil sa katandaan na din yun..
Baka naman po hindi nya kainin yung food kapag may apple cider vinegar, maarte kase yung 1 dog namen,

^i'm not sure about asuntol, naririnig ko yan sa ibang dog groups pero never pa namin natry. san ba gawa ang asuntol?

pag nagintroduce ng acv, drops lang muna, as in isang patak lang kasi matapang yung amoy nya. most dogs umaayaw, mas malakas pang-amoy nila sa atin so imagine gano katapang yung scent ng acv sa kanila. drops lang muna for few days then dagdagan paunti-unti hanggang masanay sa 1tbsp. old age can be a cause kung bakit nagkakafleas, humihina na kasi immunity, mas prone na sila sa sakit and parasites.

Asuntol lang din gamit namin sa mga aso before.Mura lang sya and effective naman. Just follow the instruction how to mix it in water.saka hindi lang 1 time gamutan.

mga sis, may sinasabi yong mother ko na pwedeng iinject sa aso for ticks. alam nyo ba kung ano yun? sabi kasi yon sa kanya ng colleague niya

^baka ivermectin/ivomec. kung ito nga yun, i won't advice you guys to use it kasi toxic sya sa liver, ito rin ginagamit sa mange, earmites, heartworms. don't use it kung hindi kailangan, wag tayo magdepend sa commercial products. use natural/herbal anti-flea products like garlic, citronella kung di naman heavy ang infestation. give your dog a healthy diet (lots of meat) a healthy body will help them repel fleas

^as much as possible avoid natin commercial products lalo na yung spot-ons and injectables, effective sila but it's very toxic for them. kawawa health ng dogs natin in the long run kasi nagaccumulate sa system nila yung chemicals.

suki kami ng ivermectin dati, for almost a year monthly ang application, nagkamange kasi dog ko at yun yung gamot na binigay but after researching, i found out na masama sa liver, so i decided to stop and magfull raw diet. fortunately nacontrol namin ang mange, without any medication. pag may onting spots i give him lots of red meat at supplements like vit. c and fish oil, effective naman di tumutuloy ang mange. my dog is turning 6yo this april, di ko nakikitaan ng fleas kahit nung bata pa, ang diet niya is mostly homecooked and raw.

i bought citronella plant dati pero madali mamatay samin, wala kasi masyadong sunlight. try mo yung mga organic citronella spray, sa sesou ako bumibili.

Tama si sis abuanddiego about not using Frontline regularly. We only treat pag may infestation. Sa Beagle ko, mukhang di nagwork ang last treatment ko sa kanya but that was also because she was unhealthy and had a mysterious allergy. Pero when I started using apple cider vinegar on her and my lab, nawala lahat. May occasional na ticks na di mo maiiwasan pag may dogs sa neighborhood, pero pwede mo lang tanggalin kase iilan lang naman.

madaming latest pet products ngayon, pero pansinin nyo mas naging sakitin mga dogs natin it's a big marketing industry, the more we use their products, mas prone sila sa sakit, at pag nagkasakit san tayo tatakbo, sa kanila ulit! it's a cycle at sila lang nakikinabang, don't fall for their trap!

use natural methods as much as possible, lalo na kung iilan pa lang naman, kaya pa yan manually and inspect regularly para di dumating sa point na ang lalaki at super dami na ng fleas. dati naman walang frontline frontline eh nakukuha sa manual tiris lol! and don't feed cheap low quality commercial dog food, yung puro grains like corn, soy, wheat, by-products, coloring, sugar, preservatives, eto yung nagpapahina ng immunity nila bec. it's not species appropriate, gustong gusto pa naman ng mga parasites ang unhealthy dogs.

Manual tiris, manual kuto pag naliligo ginagawa ko. Pero sa ngayon, try ko muna ang flea collar at bumili narin ako tick powder para ilagay ko sa ilalim ng floormat sa kwarto. Nakakita kasi ako ng matabang tick sa stuff dog ng daughter ko. Akala seguro aso yon. grrrr.

Dati manual din namin ni reremove mga ticks pero sobrang dami talaga. In a week, halos napupuno na namin half a water bottle of ticks. We started using frontline 3 months ago and been having no tick problems ever since. Usually, yun effect ng frontline nag lalast for 1-1.5 months which is good na din. Bihira na nag kakamot ang chow namin.

Sisses, have you heard of the apple cider, warm water, and baking soda home remedy treatment for ticks? Na-encounter ko lang din sya sa forum and wondering kung may naka-try na dito.

^ang alam ko yung acv plus water, natural flea and tick repellant sya, you can spray sa body and cages nila.

I've had problems with Ticks and Fleas before. Before, manually din namen nireremove kaso ang tedious and i bet it won't end kasi may mga itlog pa sila na nalay na and will be hatching na din so pointless. My uncle suggested that I use frontline, I don't know how pero it really worked! Sabi ko nga parang magic lang nawala lahat. If you ask me pano nangyare and kung bakit nawala, ang isasagot ko lang sa inyo is di ko alam pero one thing's for sure, effective sya.

^frontline is really effective, nilalason nya yung fleas and ticks once kagatin ang skin but I won't advice it kung di naman heavily infested. masyado kasing toxic and dumadaloy sya sa skin ng dogs, kawawa ang health nila in the long run. Make sure na you"re giving proper diet bec. parasites don't like healthy dogs, inspect them regularly and use apple cider vinegar or diatomaceous earth, ito yung mga natural way to repel fleas.

Di ko naman regular na monthly inaapplyan ng frontline rott ko pero I do bathe her every month. Pero once na may nakita akong sign of tick or fleas then I apply frontline agad para di na dumami pa.
