what to do with unused frontline na nabuksan na? (leftover) pwede ba itago?

^yes pwedeng itago, ganyan yung idea about sa nasabi kong way para makatipid. mas okay kung transfer sa maliit na container para di matapon, just make sure na big enough yung opening for the syringe. ang ginagawa ko transfer ko muna sa isang vial with cover, tapos kumukuha lang ako using the syringe without needle pag kailangan na. Mas madali kasi kumuha pag nilipat sya sa isang container kesa mismo dun sa pippette.

share ko lang style ko when i harvest ticks manually...
yung tape dispenser when wrapping gifts... yun ang gamit ko.  i dont use gaas or chemicals to soak the ticks eh.

i stick it onto a tape and tape over it.  sealed shut sha inside.  then tiris.   works for me.  i dont get to handle the blood at the same time,  i dont need chemicals or gaas.

Nagkaron ng nito yung Shih Tzu namin, feeling namin nung inuwi namin siya meron na, kasi yung Labs namin wala naman tick & flea.

- I bathe him using tick & flea shampoo every other day or 3x a week.
- After bathing, I sprayed a cologne that repels tick & flea along his back.
- Sometimes, we manually pick out the parasites.

We noticed that the parasites are dying on their own and are falling from our puppy's coat.

Siguro 1 month bago talaga nawala yung bwiset na parasites na yan.

oh okay, sige,  we will check it out pag nagkatyempo.  we need one na talaga.   kasi when i 'harvest',  nauubos ko naman kasi konti lang.  less than ten lang sila. pero after,  say,  1n hour lang and we play again,   i check,  tapos almost at the very same spot,   meron na naman!  thank god walang females....

so feeling ko talaga,  our upholstery and some tambak stuff are the culprit.  time to declutter and spray na talaga... thanks!!

itong kay disney,  after the pulgas,   napalitan naman ng garapats!   most of them are dead when i harvest.   the frontline is still working,  i guess.  pero meorn ding mga live ones eh.  no females,   thank god.
ill keep harvesting.   walang urungan to!  hehe...

my baby has ehrlichiosis from ticks. hay. kawawa. she's under medications ngayon.

^ done reading. thanks! sana gumaling na baby ko. nakakakaba kasi. pero may slight improvements na sya, naghanap na sya ng food kanina e. kumain konti. she's eating prescription diet a/d ngayon, prescribed by the vet. pero starting tomorrow daw prescription diet a/d + PD i/d. water nya has mondex (glucose) tapos doxycyclin, metronidazole, liverolin (liver protectant), pizotifen (appetite stimulant), metoclopramide (to increase gastric activity and prevent regurgitation), sangobion (iron supplement). dami. pero basta para gumaling siya ok lang. naiinis lang ako, nagfrontline na ako kahapon, ngayon may nakikita parin ako paisa isa na kuto. :/

^Naexperience ko na rin maging nurse nung nagkasakit sila at ibang klaseng effort yun, hindi biro I swear. At first yung isa lang then nahawa yung isa tapos nahawa na rin yung askal. I was attending to 3 dogs at twice a day ang administration ng mga gamot nila at yung isa 3x a day pa. Ang mahirap pa dyan yung metoclopramide, sya muna yung ibibigay before anything else and it needs 1 hour of waiting time bago ibigay yung ibang gamot. Mahirap din kung ayaw nila yung gamot, you have to think of ways pano sila mapapainom, minsan nasasayang pa kasi niluluwa. Sobrang stressful at nakakadrain pero patience ang kailangan sa mga ganitong situation. Wala kasi silang ibang aasahan kundi tayo lang. And if we truly love them, gagawin natin ang lahat gumaling lang sila.

Keep in mind na hindi overnight remedy ang frontline, kahapon lang yung first application, it will even take several months to completely get rid off ticks and fleas. But notice the effect of frontline on them, parang bumibilis ang galaw nila. Pag nakita nyo yan it means nagwowork ang frontline kasi ganyan ang effect nya on fleas, it attacks the nervous system kaya aligaga sila then eventually mamamatay na. One month naman ang effectivity so matagal-tagal din ang protection.

Ano pala yung diet a/d + PD i/d? Anong brand ng dog food yun?

nakakainis kasi, mostly sa ears ko nakukuha pa. tatago pa sila dun. :/ Prescription diet yung brand.. naka-can na parang mashed typena meat. amoy spam pero mas matapang.

^Normal lang yan sis, mamamatay din sila eventually kasi patuloy naman sa pagwork ang frontline for a month, so walang kawala yung mga kakapit sa kanya.

Hill's ba yang prescription diet na binigay? Nagresearch ako haha at ito yung mga nakita ko, ito ba sila?

Sadly, hindi lahat ng commercial brands, even those na nireccommend ng vet, mabuti para sa kanila. Some contains ingredients na very harmful for our dogs gaya ng nasa prescription diet na binigay sa inyo Mas mabuti pa ang homecooked. Please have the time to read for as much as you can, you will learn alot and save your dog's life if you will be informed.

wag mo sabihin yan at iisipin ko na you don't deserve to have your dog kidding aside, excuse lang yan ng mga pet owners, of course we all have time, tamad lang tayo. if you have time for GT, for sure kaya mo magprepare ng homemade dog food. Super dali lang, boiling lang ang kailangan, you can even cook for a week's meal then freeze mo lang then reheat pag meal time. Kalimutan mo na ang lahat wag lang ang healthy meals, magiging healthy ang dog mo at malakas ang immunity.

Eto share ko, when I got my bulldog almost 4 years ago, 3mos sya nun, eh di syempre walang humpay ako kakaresearch at dun ko nalaman ang horrors about the pet food industry. Nagshift kaagad ako sa homecooked at every 2 or 3 days nagluluto ako for him (ginawa ko ulit yan nung nakuha ko yung shih tzu after 2 years hehe) But after 1 year nagkadistemper sya, I thought mawawala na sya sa akin, pero ang lakas nya. 4th day na nung nadala ko sa vet, but believe it or not kinabukasan lang after the first shots of antibiotics and vitamins and some oral meds, bigla na syang sumigla ulit. From lupaypay biglang nakatayo at tumatahol na. I often hear na malakas ang panganay ko but I owe it to his meals, wala kasi akong ibang binibigay sa kanya noon, no vitamins, no heartgard, no frontline, yung luto ko lang talaga. feeling ko nga kung dry kibbles ang binigay ko hindi nya kakayanin ang distemper. Even vets di makapaniwala kasi rare daw ang distemper survivors, it's either gagaling sila with the help of the expensive serum or madededs sila. So ayun, eversince di na ako tumingin ulit sa dogfood section. It's either raw or homecooked, pero last time nagCanidae kami kasi nagkaroon ng problem sa wiwi nya pero nagbalik-loob kami sa raw Offeran at lecturan na ako ng kahit sino about what should I feed my dogs, pero sorry na lang sila because I've done my homework at hindi nila ako macoconvince ng basta-basta haha!

Ayan naOT at napahaba na tuloy haha! pero going back, di ba pwede ibalik tapos change item na lang? haha! Sabihin mo kunyare ayaw niya at ipagluluto or hanap mo sya ng ibang food. Kaw na bahala gumawa ng rason haha! Meron namang mas okay na brands like Go Natural, Acana, Orijen, Solid Gold, Canidae, may canned dog food din sila. Di hamak na mas okay mga yan kesa prescription diets na ewwwwww ang laman! Feeling ko yan nga yung nasa examples ni Dr. Becker sa article. I swear nung nabasa ko yung ingredients nandiri ako. But look at the irony, vets ang nagsusuggest magbigay hindi ba? It's a sad reality so dapat knowledgeable tayo para di naman kawawa mga alaga natin. Browse mo lang yung articles ni Dr. Becker and you will see the light and never look at dog food the same way again haha!

Hahaha! i have time ngayon, kasi summer. pero pagdating ng june wala na ulit. i leave the house at 5:30AM and get home by 10pm. i study til 2am, sleep, wake up at 4:30AM, leave at 5:30AM, etc etc. hindi naman katamaran, pero sadyang di ko lang alam san isisingit [textspeak!] pagprep ng food and pagmonitor ng kinakain nya. im a med student, btw. anyway, i'll be looking for something better to feed her. vitality kasi siya ngayon, aside from the canned food ngayong sick sya. thanks!

^Kung dry kibbles pwede yan haluan ng cooked meat, basta no bones, skin, and fats. Pero if you were that busy, then why did u get a dog? Oh diba wala kang ligtas haha! As pet owners kasi, it's our responsibility to monitor everything about them. It doesn't matter if we are the president of this country, pero once kinuha natin sila they are our responsibility til the last breath. I understand your situation, for I have friends who are taking up medicine, I even took a premed course di ko nga lang tinuloy hahaha! Ganito lang yan, if we truly love them and we are truly committed to them, we will do everything kahit wala na tayong time to comb our hair. Having pets is a lifetime commitment, yan ang lagi nating tandaan. 

Oh sya, nasabi ko na lahat ng gusto kong sabihin, nasa iyo pa rin naman ang desisyon. Get well soon na lang sa baby mo

^^sis,  i didnt have a dog the whole time i was in medschool.   mukang mahirap talaga.  what year are you in,  btw? 
kasi pagdating mo ng junior internship or clerkship,  duty duty ka na nyan,  so surely,   may mga nights na hindi ka uuwi... wawa naman si doggie mo.  and i cant blame you for hitting the bed pag uwi kasi dead tired ka talaga nya, im telling you.   you barely will have time for yourself. walking zombie era yan...

what if ico-own mo si doggie mo with someone else.. yung kumbaga share kayo ng ownership para may titingin sa kanya while you are away... para mas madali din for you.  hindi mo kailangan full time ang focus kay doggie... happy lahat diba...

i hope your furkid gets well soon... nakakapraning talaga when they get sick...

btw,  sis,   ano nga pala ang breed ng dog mo?
