mahal talaga pag sa clinics, usually yung 400 price na yan for large breeds, may 380 pa nga akong nakikita. .5ml na lang gamitin nyo para makatipid, 0.67ml lang naman ang laman ng package for 11-22lbs. The recommended dosage for small dogs is only 0.67ml or less.

So i don't need to spray the area? subdivision kasi, and madaming stray dogs. Though they don't have close contact pero feeling ko may napupunta parin na ticks within our area. how much ba ang spray and same effect ba sila nung nasa pipette? i have 4 dogs (1 lab, 2 mini pinchers, and 1 pom) gastos yata pag spot on lahat.

^^i don't live in a village tabi-tabi ang bahay samin, squatters area pa ang katabi namin at siguradong mas dehado ang kondisyon ng mga stray dogs dito pero hindi ako gumamit ng spray, spot on lang talaga. Yung spray nasa 500+ sya, same effect lang naman kaso mas mahirap gamitin kasi sprayan mo buong katawan ng dog unlike sa spot on na ilang ml lang nilalagay sa shoulder blades. Kung marami kang dog mas mapapamahal pag spray.

kung magbabackread ka sis, napost ko yung technique namin para makatipid sa frontline, I buy the biggest dose--2.68ml this is for dogs weighing 45-88lbs. Pero hindi ko sinusunod yung dosage, nalaman ko kasi na pwede naman kahit less than the suggested ml ang iapply. Ang laki kaya ng sakop ng isang pipette, for example yung 0.67ml designed sya for 0-22lbs. Would you think na same lang ang dosage ng isang dog weighing 5lbs to someone weighing 22lbs? Overdose na yan. So every month, minsan I skip pa nga, I only apply .5ml sa tzu, he weighs around 10lbs. Tumatagal yung spot on sa kanya for 4months so ang laking tipid.

So yung biggest dose, pwede maghati-hati ang mga dogs mo. Ano ang weight nila? pwede naman na .5ml each lang for the small dogs then yung matitira sa lab. Post ko later yung computation na nahanap ko sa net, hanapin ko lang yung notes ko.

balak ko din gawin na yang splitting of the frontline into several doses...  thanks for that tip ha. 

suggestion ko lang.. siguro mas madali, sis,  kung syringe ang gamitin with a luer lock needle.  easier to aspirate kasi the exact amt kesa sa pipette.  diba?

tapos pag na aspirate na,  remove the needle and pwede na din pang apply by plunging.

actually ang gamit ko sa pagapply ng frontline is yung syringe without needle, napost ko na yun dito dati, transfer ko muna yung laman ng isang pipette sa isang small container saka ako magmeasure ng .5ml using a syringe. parati kasi nagbibigay ang vet (for free) pag bumibili ako ng meds/vitamins pero di ko ginagamit kasi nahihirapan ako, mas gusto ko ang medicine dropper hehe. kaya yun ang ginagamit ko sa frontline. try nyo rin humingi sa vet libre lang naman ata yun

No pasyal muna for our alaga. Feeling ko nakukuha nila talaga mga ticks and fleas sa labas eh. More often than not, everytime we come home from the vet, tiende or groomer, may isa or dalawa kaming nakikitang hitchhiker sa pup namin.

Siguro nga the hot weather is a contributing factor why we have some garapata now. For 2 years bug-free kami until now. Buti nalang hindi infestation kaya ok na frontline spray. Very mininal pag apply namin sa dogs. Pero yung cage and area nila, ini-spray-an namin talaga. So far so good naman at effective.

Yung mga shih tzu din namin eversince nakuha from the breeder 3mos. sila nun, di nagkaroon ng ticks and fleas. Tapos a month before they turned 1, pinagroom namin at ilang araw lang nakitaan na ng mga gumagapang-gapang sa katawan. Kaya madalang din kami magpagroom kasi sigurado kami na sa grooming stations nila nakukuha yun. Tapos one time din nung sinama ko out of town, pagbalik namin nagkaroon ng infestation at pati ako kinagat ng mga pesteng yan

^ nakakainis diba! Linis-linis mo sa bahay tapos sa labas nakaka-kuha ng kung ano-ano. Tsk.

Try nga namin na lagyan ng anti-flea powder or frontline ang legs bago sila ipapasyal. Baka maka-help lessen ng pag pickup ng hitchhikers.

^Nakakapang-init ng ulo kasi minsan na nga lang sila ilabas, problema pa ang inuwi sa bahay. Di naman  pwedeng hindi dalhin sa groomer kaya no choice talaga. Pag nasa labas nga kami hindi ko na rin gaanong pinapalakad unless potty breaks

Sis abuanddiego, we seldom go to the groomers na kasi nga dun ang salarin. May time pa nga na we bring our own towel pero may nakaka-hitch pa rin na kuto... As much as possible kami nalang nagpapaligo. Buti nga at short hair sila kaya ok lang... Yung pag clip naman ng nails, di namin talaga kaya. Pero imbes na sa groomer, sa vet kami pumupunta.

^Kahit nakafrontline nagkakaroon pa rin? Kami kasi eversince nagfrontline di nako ulit nakakita ng mga garapats kahit nagpapagroom. ang ginagawa ko na lang bago kami magpunta sa groomer, sched ko na yung application ng frontline para magwork na sa agad sa skin nya. Ako naman kaya ko ang bath, blow dry and nail clipping, ang di ko talaga kaya is yung sanitary trim at pagalis ng hair sa ears.

Girls, meron ba kayo masa-suggest na anti tick/flea shampoo for a 3 month old pup?  Aside from frontline, ano pa yung iba na ok? Yung nagbigay kasi sakin ng dog may nabanggit siya diko lang gaano maalala pero it sounds like seven or something.hehe diko na talaga maalala. Sabi niya sa vetstores daw nabibili. Tapos yung maliit na size is just p90 lang..

Hope you guys can help me. Kawawa naman yung pup ko.. kanina lang i found a huge black bulge sa neck niya. Flea pala, ( TIA

^Nagbackread ako at sa page16 may nabanggit na sevin, yan ata yung soap na ginagamit sa mga manok? kung ako ang tatanungin, hindi ko sya iaadvise gamitin sa dogs. May mga dog shampoos and soaps naman designed to repel ticks and fleas, like Seargent's, Bearing, Doggies Choice, Papi, etc. merong ding mga organic like Giga Pet soaps, Neem soap. Natackle na rin to sa What's the Best Dog Shampoo/conditioner/cologne/powder? Backread ka lang sis para mas maraming info ang makuha mo.

Kaso ang problema sa mga shampoos na to lalo yung commercial products matapang sila, mahapdi sa eyes at nakakadry/brittle ng coat, so ingat sa paggamit. Gamit rin kayo conditioner after para maging soft ang coat.

Sa mga frontline spot on users, eto na yung computation para makatipid 

Minimum Dosage: 0.0305ml (per pound)
Maximum Dosage: 0.0593ml (per pound)
Average Dosage: 0.0449ml (per pound)

Where did we get the above dosage?

I will use the recommended dosage for dogs weighing 45-88lbs because this is the pipette that I buy
For example, for dogs weighing 45-88lbs, the recommended dosage is 2.67ml
so 2.67ml / 88lbs. (max. weight of dog) = 0.0303 or just round it off to 0.0305ml
Therefore, a dog only needs 0.0305ml per pound of his body weight (minimal dosage)
or 2.67ml / 45lbs (min. weight) = 0.0593 ml (for the max. dose)

So we're safe to give them a dosage of 0.0305ml-0.0593ml per pound.

Sample computation:
My shih tzu weighs around 11lbs x 0.0449ml (this is for the average dose) = 0.4939ml or 0.5ml

computation for the Minimum dosage:
11lbs. x 0.0305ml = 0.3366ml or 0.35ml

for the Maximum Dosage:
11lbs. x 0.0593ml = 0.65ml

Average dosage lang kami just to be sure

*Kung susundin natin ang nasa packaging, my dog falls on the 0-22lbs category so .67ml dapat sya monthy. But I don't follow this because obviously it's too much for his weight, at liver ang kawawa in the long run.
