Frontline spot on was not that effective to my beagle so I will now try Frontline Spray pero mahal sya kasi yung 150ml nsa PHP595 na tapos etong binili ko na 250ml e P1150 pero dahil super love ko [textspeak!] beagle ko at nahawa n din [textspeak!] pom ko, oks n sya at least proven and tested nman n.. Ayaw din kasi nung Tick and Flea shampoo nila e. Anyway, thank u for letting me know where I can buy Asuntol powder... Sa Ace Hardware lang pala meron. That's nice. Kelangan ko kasi pang disinfect ng bahay nmin since lagi akong may nakikita s sahig namin na gumagapang na male tick. I will also try Sevin pero parang ndi ako familiar kng san sya bibilhin e.

^If I may ask, how many spot on applications ang nailagay mo sa beagle? Kasi it will take several applications bago totally mawala ang ticks and fleas. Samin 3 applications bago ko napansin na wala na talaga sila. Usually pag may spot-on, mawawala na rin yung mga gumagala sa bahay kasi once madikit sila sa dog na may frontline, mapaparalyze sila hanggang mamatay, even the eggs walang kawala. So it might really take months to completely get rid of the infestation. Ang maganda lang dito kahit di tayo gumamit ng anything sa household, frontline is already doing its job, kumbaga naghihintay lang ng mabibiktimang parasite.

Ang Seargent's meron silang tick and flea spray, for household use ito. Sabi ng brother ko effective daw, hindi sila gumamit ng frontline, ito lang talaga. Marami rin kaming aso sa bahay at mapuno pero nawala naman daw ang ticks and fleas..

I used frontline on my shih tzu and effective sya, ang mahal nga lang, 1700 [textspeak!] bili namin, may 3 applicator sya that you'll use every month, 1 palang nagamit ko and nawala na, i'll apply the 2nd para lang mamaintain, anong soap/shampoo ginagamit nyo para sa pets nyo para maavoid [textspeak!] mga ticks?

sis parang ang mahal masyado ng bili nyo, saan yan? usually around 900-1k lang ang price ng frontline na nakikita ko. napost ko yung technique namin para makatipid sa frontline, backread ka lang pati yung mga shampoo na tick and flea repellant. the vet near our place charged as P400/application... not sure what brand will be used... if it's frontline, then gora na ako dun

^sis, you can apply it yourself. basta spot-on treatment kaya yan ng kahit sinong owner, part lang yung hair sa center ng shoulder blades, tapos sa skin mismo ilagay yung medication. pwede yan ikalat, imagine drawing a cross on his skin, then it's all done. super dali lang promise, di na kailangan ng vet, makakatipid ka pa lalo kung maliit lang ang dog. usually 50pesos ang charge for application eh. ano pala dog mo?

sis,  i might need a spray for the house,  too.  saan ba nakabili ang brother mo ng sergeant's spray?   
the frontline spot on will do its job.  not naman agad agad.  it takes day bago mag total effect. days to a week.  pero now palang,  after applying kahapon,  napansin ko na that he is scratching less.   but still scratching.
so harvest harvest pa din ako manually whenever i have time.  mga twice daily.

but for the house,  i need to spray din siguro.  i read somewhere kasi na for every flea/tick daw on your dog that you find,   halos 100 daw nasa house items nakadikit like upholstery,  carpets,  curtains,  baseboards etc...

^after 12 hours start na makita ang effect ng frontline, I think mas mabilis ang effect sa small breeds kasi maliit sila so madali magspread sa katawan yung medication.

ako naman personally di na gumamit ng spray, kasi ang frontline it kills even the eggs, kahit yung mga gumagapang sa paligid once madikit sila sa dog na nilagyan ng frontline, mamamatay na din eventually. May malalaglag, may nakadikit sa coat pero tuyot na, tapos yung mga buhay bumibilis gumalaw, it means nagwowork na ang frontline kaya sila nawiwindang at madededs na rin after some hours.

Sa suki naming petshop nabili ang spray, I think nasa 500 yung price nya. Pero sa Dogs and the City 800 ang price. Di ko lang sure sa Tiende and Pet Express.

^naku sis qc area kami. pero baka meron naman sa cartimar since maraming petshops doon. try mo rin sa pet passion macapagal complete and cheaper din ang pet supplies sa kanila.

After being tick and flea - free for a very long time, problema namin ito uli. I dunno saan galing. Tsk... So we are back on frontline spray. Effective naman sya sa amin pero it takes time din kasi nga sa lifecycle ng bugs na yan.

Wawa naman mga alaga natin. =(

oo nga. ang tindi ng init nung  pumasok ang holy week!   aside from the tick/flea problem,   hydrate din natin sila.  let us make sure lagi sila may fresh and ample supply ng drinking water.   lalo na for furmoms like me na nagwowork and walang naiiwan sa bahay na kasama ang furkids.

So I backread and I still have the following questions in mind:
1. Hindi ba toxic sa dogs yung asuntol na ihahalo sa water tapos spray sa area? Hindi naman sila macocontrol na wag mag-lick sa kung saan saan.

2. Where to have anti-tick shots here in fairview?

^aside from being toxic, old school na ang asuntol and shots, may mas effective ng way to control ticks and fleas like spot on treatment (frontline). kung ticks and fleas lang naman ang problema, kayang kaya na yan ng frontline, wag na kayo gumamit ng asuntol ang injectables kasi masyado silang toxic at pwedeng magcause ng liver problems.

^If I use frontline and don't do something about the dog's environment, eh di babalik lang din diba? Spraying frontline on floors/walls is too expensive. Lysol doesn't do the trick e.

^nung nagkaroon kami ng infestation, pati kama ko ginapangan ng fleas at puro ako kagat frontline spot on lang ginamit ko sa kanya at ilang days lang nawala na yung mga kumakagat sakin. Naisip ko rin gumamit ng spray pero ang hirap nya gamitin at mas mahal kaya yung spot on na lang binili ko. Ang frontline kasi pinapatay nya pati eggs, tapos yung mga kumapit sa coat, mamamatay na din sila after few hours, so wala talaga silang kawala. Since gumamit kami ng frontline, almost one year na rin akong di nakakakita ng ticks and fleas.

Lysol won't really do so much kasi di sya designed to kill ticks and fleas. Mas okay pa ang Diatomaceous Earth (DE---may thread na rin dito search mo na lang) kasi ang goal nya is to kill insects. Medyo expensive talaga ang frontline pero effective naman, pero may technique para makatipid sa spot on, napost ko na yun. Meron ding Seargent's tick and flea spray, napost ko na rin yung link earlier.
