^ In my opinion, I think so. Definitely mas safe naman yung Oilganics kesa sa Kwell (which is a chemical, also a lice treatment shampoo). If you want to be really sure, you can always check with your vet.

How to Properly use frontline.

Bathe your dog, wait for 2 days before applying frontline. After spraying wait for 2 days before you bathe your dog again.

naku problem din namen to ngayon, since summer marami daw talaga ticks..ewan ko ba galing din daw sa cats sa kalsado, dami kase ligaw na pusa tapos kapag tumatakbo mga pups sa lupa to poops, ayun baka kumakapit ang mga ticks.. kainis talaga at kawawa sila.. we bought this shampoo sa handyman, we'll see palang if effective.  green ang color nung shampoo.. sorry di ko makita yung name kase nasa labas ng house eh.  pero before we are also using frontline, effective talaga for 2 months kaya lang ang mahal..

Have you guys tried bringing your dog to the vet for an anti-tick shot? I think it's only 150 per shot (but then, that because we brought them to the animal cliic near UE, and it's way way way cheaper there than other clinics, and yet the vets are all very competent without charging you an outrageous price) and it's really effective. There was a time that all 4 of our shih tzus were tick infested, after the shot was administered, in a week, you can see that the ticks were dead and dried up on their bodies, it falls off when you give them a bath. After a couple of weeks, there were no more ticks in our house.

I do have a questions though, do rats have ticks as well?

^Definitely. The rats, after all, were carriers of the ticks that caused the bubonic plague in old-age Europe. (yukk...  )

^Our dogs didn't have ticks until a new neighbor moved into the apartment next door. Next thing we knew, un mga daga na alaga nila were sneaking into our house na rin! We suspect that the ticks came from their rats!!!

Hay naku, kaya pinaghuhuli na namin un rats na un and killed them, maya dumami pa lalo un ticks sa house (aside from the rats themselves multiplying! kadiri!)

^^^I'll consult the vet on this. Nice idea sis. Instead of using frontline, I'll have her get the shot nalang. Dati kasi before she used frontline bigla nalang dami nyang ticks. Ewan ko ba kung san nya nakuha yun since siya lang naman yung dog sa loob ng house.

Nag research rin ako ng effective way to remove ticks from dogs, maraming nagsabe na effective yung Vaseline so we tried it. So far, nagwowork naman at konti nalang yung ticks nila.

The vet was the one who suggested it,so I guess it must be safe, sabi naman niya walang side effect aside from the ticks drying up by themselves. I think all vets know this, or baka hindi lang nila ino-offer para makabenta ng frontline? kasi super effective yun shot e

my cousin had his 3 dogs anti-tick shot. ok naman at wala ng ticks.

sa akin naman since grabe na talaga yung ticks nila, I bought this Fipronil application spot from a seller sa isang forum locally. ayun effective naman.

when i was in college... nagmamanufacture kami ng dog soap

binebenta namin iyon dati kaya lang nagstop..

ang main ingredients po ay VCO at madre de cacao...

yung extract po ng madre de cacao makakatulong magpatanggal ng Ticks and fleas... subukan nyong ipampaligo sa aso.

marami pong madre de cacao sa quiapo.. 10php ang isang bundle.

sobrang dami na rin ng ticks ng pup ko hindi ko talaga alam kung san nya nakuha yun, pati s walls, s floor namin gumagapang n sila!! i have to check his bed every morning para mag alis ng ticks, we use adam shampoo and yung spray, effective siya dati but now parang wala ng silbi, i used frontline n rin a few times pero balik pa rin ng balik, i think dapat k ng dalhin s vet for his anti-tick shot

^ I agree, bring him to the vet immediately, nakakamatay ang ticks sa dog. And please don't pull off the tiks off your dog's body, bawal daw un sabi ng vet. The dog will only become sick!

pumayat yung dog ko dahil sa ticks. he was infested last summer. nabigla nalang ako at biglang dumami yung ticks niya. buti nalang ngayun nawala na.

i've had that experience before.  so many ticks on the wall and ceiling!  eeeww.  as in, it gave me goosebumps.  may season talaga na meron.  may season din na fleas naman.  may season naman na walang kuto or ticks.

Frontline is a very effective way to control ticks and fleas.  But there is a rule so that it would really be effective.  Frontline should be applied 3 days after its last bath.  Shampoo ingredients has contraindications to the active ingredients of the Frontline.  Then bathe your dog after 3 days of application.  This rules are not indicated in the packaging but a number of vets I am acquainted to told me so.

Asuntol is a blue soap that you can buy in the grocery, this is also effective to get rid of ticks. Have you tried the no fleas powder? It does work, but not as effective as frontline or anti-tick shot. If there is minimal tick & flea, then use the powder and asuntol, it should be enough. But if there are a lot, then use frontline.
