Registered nurses abroad!

^how were you able to work there sis? i'm interested kasi mag 2 years na ko sa hospital and i'm planning to work abroad already..middle east is not an option for me, ayaw kasi ng parents ko, USA naman is still in retrogression, while Australia, Canada and New Zealand requires moolah (wala pa kong mautong magsponsor sakin, lol), so i'm left with singapore, kaya lang i'm qualified only as asst nurse/ nurse aid.meron ba dito working as nurse or nurse aid in singapore? share your experiences please, wants to go badly..

^i have many friends in Singapore who are nurses in Philippines but work as assistant nurse in Sg. they didn't qualify for the no. of bed capacity na nirequire. so far, so good naman daw, nakakaraos. until now they are still there, almost  4 years already.

nag apply ako ng job seeker visa noon sa norwegian embassy. Inquire ka sis, pero alam ko nag iba na sila ata ng requirements pero im no longer updated.

I started as a nurse assistant din (usa) nung una ayaw ko pa (pride hahaha) pero wala naman akong magagawa. I have to learn their protocol, how they do it, maexpose sa culture. Hello hindi ko alam mag calibrate ng iv pump nun ni magpindot nga ng hospital bed hindi! Satin naman kasi di wrist watch ang calibration diba haha. Ayos naman. Kung anong trabaho nung stujante nung nursing ganun din trabaho nurse assistant.

Ngayon in training na ako as RN resident. May pay raise narin. So in return ayos narin that I started from the bottom going up. Alam ko na kung kanino idedelegate yung mga task (cna, lvn)

Sana next year makapasok na ulit ako sa school para sa anesthiology. Haaay

^congrats sis! keep it up...i've no qualms working as nurse assistant din naman, someone told me na mas ok nga daw magstart as that sa singapore para di daw mabigla sa workload ng rn. pero there was one agency who told my friend na parang orderly daw ang work ng asst nurse in sing, how true is that?

sis narz83, di rin ako qualified coz of the no. of bed capacity..are your friends still working as asst nurse?no chance of becoming rn ba dun kahit naka 4 years na?

yung classmate ko nung college, 3 years hospital exp. nya dito sa pinas pero nursing assistant lang din sya sa SG. gipit na daw sya kaya kinagat na din nya.

joining..gusto ko na din mag abroad para makaipon naman. Ayoko middle east at sg lang nakikita ko option for now. Kaso doubtful ako. Mataas ang cost of living doon di ba? What if ma hire ako as NA instead of staff nurse, di ba ko lugi sa sweldo? Makaipon pa din ba ko? Though pasok naman ang bed capacity ng pinapasukan ko sa qualifications nila. Need answers and advices please. TIA!

those who would like to try saudi arabia mga sis, andito ako..kung mataas naman tolerance niyo sa demanding na pasyente at tamad na saudi nurses, carry lang dito..but you need to apply sa credible agencies..kung mga military hospitals, i think sa abba, skills and phs yung mga example..kung sa poea naman, SRO(Saudi Recruitment Office) ang nagbibigay ng job orders for ministry of health.i think,need na ngayon ng 2yrs exp. and exam..am not really sure..

basic salary ata ngayon is 3k SR..pede umakyat depende sa mapuntahang ospital..pero pag my experience, mas mataas ang offer..pag HOP ka naman, pantay lang sahod khit ilang yrs of exp...dito sa napuntahan ko..60k php pag sa ward..special area is 75k/month..depende yun sa ospital..libre food and accomodation..yun nga lang limited ang mga malls except kung nasa riyadh, alkhobar, dammam or jeddah..ako,nagtitiyaga dito xe like ko ipon for canada..kaso pag naiisip kong magstart uli sa baba, kakalungkot..haist..

Ay dapat pala dito ako nagtanong at hindi dun sa kabila.. 

Mga sis abroad, may demand ba for OR-DR nurses abroad? I mean, ok ba sya na special area? (yung sa OR part ng DR, OB cases lang) Nasa OR-DR kasi ako ngayon eh. I'm thinking kung ok ba yung napili kong area? Of course this is for going-abroad purposes.  What do you think?

my cousin nurse sa Saudi then paid someone in canada to petition her as a caregiver. she works as a caregiver in canada now. after two years, she will have her credentials reviewed so she can practice as a nurse. not a as RN but as a nursing assistant. sabi nya, its just a step higher than a personal support worker. to be an RN you have to go to school and pass the board exam.

You don't necessarily have to go back to school to be an RN in canada. If they required you to undergo a skills assessment and you didn't pass, that's the time that they will require you to go back to school to complete a bridging program. In my case I was given an eligibility to take the exam without undergoing the skills assessment, pero that was almost 2 years ago. Ngayon mas strict na sila sa requirements not to mention na ang taas na ng required ielts score.

mga sis, depende ata yun kung saang province ka apply..kasi medyo may pagkakaiba ang processing nila..plus yung assessment na rin sa credentials..tsaka ngayon, medyo mababa na ang cap per profession ng skilled workers, 500..last year it was 1000..tapos yung ielts for immigrants should be general training..haist, stress much ako kasi academic module ang naipasa ko..need pa ng proof of funds..saan kaya ang province na may maraming opportunities for us?
