sis, plan ko mag apply sa Nursing Council ng New zealand. May informative forum about the steps sa application. Nag hihintay lang ako ng sign kung i pu push through ko to. =)

Update ko lang to sis isha and sis Amity.

Kinulit ko yung NY BON, turns out ok na pala lahat ng papers ko

Tagal na daw complete yung forms and na send narin pala ng CA BON yung NCLEX result ko sa NY. Sabi nalang ng NY sakin, "show us a valid visa and we will issue a license"

wala pa ako nun

And hindi rin ako nag take nun online course and exams. Nag send ako ng form for exemption.

I am a nurse in UK. Kaya lang, parang gusto ko mag-change careers. I wanna be a social worker!

Health related din naman ang social worker. Even when i was still in Pinas, gustong-gusto ko mag-volunteer at yung mga outreach. So why not make it a career, di ba?

^ yes sis, kahit sang english speaking country kelangan ng IELTS unless resident or graduate ka sa country na yun.

NY BON is that strict now? My friend was able to get a NY visa through reciprocity without having a valid visa. That was year 2008. It took her 2 months. I remember it clearly because she was asking me about the processing since i'm a NY RN.

SO there's really no possibility that you can work as nurse in NY if you haven't passed the local bord evnthough you have H4 visa?

ANd guys how does it work? I mean if in case I passed the local board, I need to take nclex but must be evaluated by cgfns. Is that correct? Im sorry I really have no idea with these stuffs. Is nclex same as state board?

sigh** need help badly..

Hindi ako rn pero im a nurse here in atlanta. The hospital where i work have a program for fresh nursing grads. Pero goodness, hindi madali maghanap ng work here. Oo rn ka nga, marami ngang demand, pero most na hinahanap nila eh yung may exp na.

Im a nurse as well and still eager to use my license in the US to work. sana magkaron na ng progress yung retrogression. is the H1b visa still good? thanks!

mga sis who are in NZ, is it true na recession ngayon diyan specially for nurses? yung agency kasi where i applied till now ala pa rin reply nursing council, eh hello naman diba--september ko pa na pass yung mga papers ko...although nabawas na yung fee sa credit card ko...ang sabi sakin, mas mahirap if i'll follow up on my application kasi mapapatungan nanaman daw ng ibang applicants...tas i read nga somewhere na recession ngayon jan.....and another query---yung mga nursing schools ba jan may specific month lang na nag oopen? like example dito sa pinas eh either june, november, april lang...since we have first, second sem and summer? thanks...

I'm not a nurse, but my bf is. He applied NCLEX for Vermont, medyo matagal ang processing and super dami ng fees. Sana lang its worth it.

hi sis.. may ask lang po ako.. pwede ko po ba makuha yung name & contact numbers ng laywer ng husband mo? kakakuha ko lang po ng board exams last July 3-4, 2010 and pinakukuha na rin po ako ng mom ko ng nclex. nag reresearch pa lang po ako kung paano mag apply at mag process ng application tapos nakita ko po tong thread niyo.. in case lang po na palarin po ako at mabigyan ng chance na makapasa sa nclex, nais ko rin po sanang magpatulong sa lawyer niyo na tumulong ma process yung papers ng husband mo sa US. andito po ako ngayon sa pinas, wala pa po kong US visa pero nag pa plan po ang parents ko na ikuha na rin po kami ng brother (nursing din po) ko na kumuha ng visa dahil kaming dalawa na lang po ang wala. yung parents ko at yung little brother ko ay may multiple entry visa na po. so ayun po.. kung maaari lang po eh pwede po bang mahingi yung number ng lawyer niyo..

anyone here working in Dubai as nurse? graduate ako last year, passed the board exam pero wala pa ko xp sa hosp, hehe, i heard kahit walang xp ok sa dubai.. share naman kayo. thanks!

^you have to pass HAAD to be able to work in Dubai and to qualify to that exam,2 years experience is a must. Unless you'll apply as a nursing assistant or equivalent,experience is not required.

Actually, sa kanya ko lang nalaman yang Haad exam na yan. She can take the anytime naman diba? Tsaka kelangan ba talaga 2 years? 7months experience lang yung meron sya eh. And how do you prepare for the exam? May review center ba na nagooffer ng HAAD exam review? Thanks sa info!

yung friend ko naman nasa Dubai ngayon, 6 months lang xp nya tapos nagapply sya dun as receptionist sa clinic, then she took yung DOH exam daw, yun din ba yung HAAD? tapos yun, di naman daw related sa xp nya yung tinanong so she thought na bagsak sya, after few days nimessage nya ko na lumabas na result and she passed. kaya naiisip ko baka pwede na kahit walang xp, kaso kelangan ata may malakas na backer sa hosp.
