may advantage ba kung merong tourist visa na dito sa US? i'm here na kasi tapos i've started with the application, processing na ang credentials evaluation report ko yun na lang hinihintay for my eligibility for nclex... ayoko na kasi muna bumalik ng pilipinas sayang ang pamasahe

sorry sis, tourist visa is only good for visiting. US immigration is now becoming really very strict, a lot of people were abusive of this visa. i myself have a multiple entry but I am here in the Philippines and did the the traditional way.
read allnurses.com, everything is there. the processing will take forever and you will be out of status by that time. many are in line waiting in their home country for their green cards to be available, i think you should do the same.

ah talaga? so you're just waiting for your visa na lang? wow! sabi ni immigration lawyer pa-extend na lang daw if ayoko talaga bumalik, at baka yun na lang ang gawin ko, nakakapagod mag move back and forth both countries hehe

i just wanna share this..

my hubby is an RN here and had gone to the US just last aug.

before cya pumunta nag file  na cya ng para sa cgfns then nclex which he took in NJ na last sept.

He passed and then he looked for a non cap employer wherein he did got employed.

His papers for H1b was filed last nov 25 and got approved last dec 5, 2008.

Its fast!!!

Premium processing yan,  costly but eventhough it cost much, it is worth it because what is important is that he is legally working and that we will be with him soon as an h4 visa holders...

It is an early christmas gift for us..

kawawa naman sister ko...the hospital/Pinnacle healthcare system in PA that was supposed to sponsor her and a few others from 'pinas, in fact, naka file na application nila sa USCIS, bigla na lang 'di na daw itutuloy pag-sponsor ng immigrant visa kase Pinnacle is suffering from financial losses due to recession and is currently laying-off employees. although, 'yung Filipino Dr. na recruiter is trying to get another employer to sponsor them kase sayang 'yung application nila na naka-file nasa USCIS. May Visa cert, CGFNS na sis ko and she just got her NCLEX eligibility.

mas madali kasi kapag nasa usa ka na. look for a hospital or nursing home na non-cap, meaning exempted sila sa quota ng mga nurses para mabigyan ng work visa.. then tell the employer na ipapa-premium processing mo yung application mo. kaya lang kaw lahat gagastos for that...

cali ang nclex mo meaning sa cali ka auhorized to work as a nurse kung sa ny ka need mo mgpareciprocity pa like sa husband ko, i am not an expert in this ha, share ko lang experience namin with this...

First, you have to look for an employer na willing ka i-petition for working visa. Ok din kung greencard pero mas matagal yun bago lumabas atleast yung H1b kung mgpapapremium processing ka 15 days lang may result na kagad.

Magapply ka sa lahat ng pede mo applyan. Kung may kakilala kayo na ngwowork as nurse sa ibang hospitals ask mo sila baka may available na position... Sana may makita as soon as possible. Sana din non-cap para mas madali na ipa premium processing..

In our experience, oct pa lang nagapply na hubby ko for reciprocity sa ny, habang nghahanap siya ng work on process na yung reciprocity niya.. Atleast may ngyayari na di ba.. Kaya ngayon 6 mos na nakalipas ready for review na ang cvs ng hubby for ny kaya konting panahon na lang may ny license na siya. last dec lang cya ngstart sa work pero inasikaso n niya kagad yung sa ny. nid mo din pala mgpa credentials valuation sa cgfns at cvs for ny sa cgfns. magastos din, madami need na manggagaling sa prc at school pero simulan mo na para di sayang ang panahon. Tignan mo na sa www.cgfns.org yung mga requirements at dun din yung application forms.

Kami ahead lagi ang ginawa namin.. kahit di pa nagboard exam si hubby dito, ngapply na siya for credentials valuations sa cgfns for nclex so, sakto july ok na, sched siya ng sept for nclex then by oct alam na result ng nclex, he passed then habang nghahanap sya ng work nag pa reciprocity na sya kagad sa ny. jersey kasi ang license nya..

Yan lang naman ang naging experience namin. sabi ni hubby madami naman dw work sa ny for nurses yun nga lang kung la ka pa ny license di pa ganun kataas ang sweldo pero kapag lumabas na ang ny license mo, saka pa lang tataas sweldo. But what's impt is that legal ka sa us kaysa naman tnt, at saka since nandyan ka na db, samantalahin mo na kagad, mas mahirap kung dito ka sa pinas mgaantay...

sis, hindi siya nagwork as a nurse dito. May tourist visa siya kaya after ng phil boards umalis na siya for his nclex. Sa totoo lang engr siya dito in a multinational company, ok naman ang salary niya that time, but since buong family niya nasa usa, iyon napilitan magaral ng nursing... hehe!

Balitaan mo ako ha.. sana matulungan ka nung lawyer...

sis nakausap ko na lawyer..i asked him kung may alam pa syang ibang hospital na noncap, sabi nya isa lang daw alam nya, sa mississipi. Sis, pano naghanap hubby mo ng hospital sa NJ? maghahanap nalang ako, malayo kac sobra mississipi sa relatives ko, pero pinagiisipan ko pa din..pinapapunta nya ko sa office nya. dto din pala office nya sa NY. try ko maghanap ng hospital but i dont know hot to start and all. thanks sis sa help, sana di ka magsawa sa pag help sakin. till may30 nalang kac ako dto, kaya gumagawa na ko way ngyn while im here

ah ok... c hubby kasi ngapply lang siya sa iba't ibang hospital. meron nga willing to petition him a immigrant the thing is kapag immigrant kasi uuwi pa siya ng pinas to wait for that pero tinanggap nya yun at first den siguro swerte lang talaga namin kasi may ngpetition sa kanya for h1b.

Pareho kayo dati eh, kung di siya nakahanap ng employer, babalik na lang siya dito dapat last feb..

Kung may kakilala mga relatives mo sa hospital or home care na ngpepetion ng h1b tangapin mo n yun para di ka na bumalik ng pinas. ipa expedite mo ang processing. para 15 days lang... yun nga lang ikaw ang gagastos for that...
