Registered nurses abroad!

Since the last thread has reached it's maximum pages, i've decided to open a new thread to continue it...

To my fellow GT's that are registered nurses abroad hope you can give us tips and info's on how to be a nurse in the country you are working at right now....

I know there are alot of GT's here that needs advices and help on many matters on how to be able to work and live in different countries as a registered nurse.

is there anyone from new jersey here???

just wanna ask how long would it take for the NJ board of nursing to issue an ATT and if you passed the nclex at NJ, they say that you have to apply for credential evaluation also.. does anyone knows how long would that be before you could work???

sis, i had 3 years experience in phili bago ko sinunggaban it0ng 0pp0rtunity dito sa riyadh. well,lets say,its way better here than in phili but im still planning to h0p in other c0untry after my c0ntract finish next year.

hey may tanong ako, papano ba yung retrogression? kasi i've heard kahit na may experience ka at sangkatutak na exam na naipasa mo, hindi ka pa rin makakaalis kaagad dahil sa retro... Yung kakilala ko kasi, batch 2004 pa graduate at pumasa hanggang ngayon nandito pa rin pero lahat na ng exam pasado sya, may employer na rin

retrogression.... walang visa for nurses... may limit kasi yun.... USCIS ang nag  iissue ng visa.... kahit complete requirements at may contract na from the employer, hindi talaga makakaalis dahil walang visa.

^i recently graduated from nursing and i've been looking for places to go already. us sana but it's still retrogression so i don't know about that... canada is an option too but i don't really know what the requirements are... i want to start taking tests na kasi as early as now.. i want to work na din kasi..  any advice? info?

try to visit allnurses.com for the requirements for each country. im not really sure about canada. i think they have a different exam and you need to pass the IELTS. ang mahirap kasi, when applying abroad, they want nurses with at least a year of hospital work experience and as much as possible, presently working sa hospital. eh sa dami ng mga nurses ngaun dito sa pinas, ang hirap maghanap ng hospital na nag hiring. UAE lang yata ang may mga hospital na open kahit new grad. 

what i can suggest is for you to read about the details on nursing sa mga lugar na gusto mo then from there, decide kung ano yung gusto mo talaga. after nun, start ka na working on the requirements. plan mo mabuti.
