1st birthday party without games or program

Hi, my baby is turning 1yo on december, ako kase sawang sawa na kaka attend ng birthday party events with hosts,games,magic, (like what i did with my panganay's 1st birthday) , I have also attended my friends parties with the same concept, even my 2 nieces. And bored na bored na nga mga guests ni hindi na nakikinig sa hosts kase very predictable na mangyayari hehe So I am also thinking of preparing a party na hindi ganung maingay, ni hindi magkarinigan the guests. Naisip ko to just get a big toy inflatable, or some activities that they can do while the adults are eating...This is a nice thread! dami ko nakuhang ideas. I saw one birthday party at multiply wherein they made the event look like an english tea party, mukhang formal and quiet party lang, which I like.

^this is what im doing for my daughter's 2nd birthday party. I'm renting an inflatable slide. then im also preparing some cookie decorating kits for them. then in one part of the garden, i'm setting up a mini theater were kids can watch a film or something

^a Bounce party ba is the one that has a big inflatable then lots of plastic balls?  Iba pa yung bounce party sa nirerentahan sa mga party planners?

^ I think same concept lang.  There's also a party venue called Bounce.

Bounce the venue has a lot of inflatable bounce and slide then ball pits. I'm not sure how much is the rental for the venue

If you have a venue and you want to bring in inflatables, you can rent thru party planners or rent it directly fr a supplier. I rented mine from jared inflatable slide. try to search it in multiply.

^ the rental fees varry depende kung gano kalaki ang room na kukuwanin nyo. google nyo na lang Bounce pasig. Jan dapat mag 1st birthday si hershey naka downpayment na kami but due to some circumstances di na namin tinuloy. baka next year.

kasend lang nila ng rates for 2 rms which can accomodate 160pax 23k++ rental. for 1 rm 60pax ang kasya 13k++.

they are very strict din sa visitors. before the party you'll have to send them your list of guests. no name on the list no entry. kung 60 pax, 60 lang talaga. 500 additional pay sa kada koryente na magamit. pero wlang corkage if you'll bring your food.

my son's celebrating his 1st bday this September....we want sa Gymboree, kya lang sa playfloor they only allow kids 4yrs and below....

mommies, has anyone of you attended a gymboree party na?

I'm planning kase during the 1hr sa function room, i'll have a program for the older kids pra nman they wont feel left out..

we'll be celebrating our baby's 1st birthday this coming sept 25 without games, program, clowns, etc. 'cos of these reasons:

-baby is just turning 1, i dont think ma-appreciate nya yun..
-we're suppose to fly to turkey (that's why i didnt plan anything).. for some reason, we have to move the trip.. oct na instead of sept so no choice but to celebrate here..
-hubby doesnt like the pabongga concept ng bday, di kasi part ng turkish tradition nila.. usually, cake lang for 1st bday..
-ayoko den gumastos ng malaki..
-most of my relatives live in the province, relatives ni hubby sa istanbul naman...
-i dont work anymore, no contact na sa mga friends
-konti lang ang siguradong makapunta kasi friday yun, may pasok
-we dont know a lot of people here in the condo

ahhh.. hubby wants to go out of town for our baby's bday but i prefer celebrating at home with some close friends and hubby's officemates.. probably, ako den ang masusunod so order nalang ako ng food sa labas tapos order den ako ng cake, set ng balloons, konting decorate sa unit namen.. that's it!

We're attending a 1st birthday party this weekend, an adult affair as stated in the invite.  Parang nalulungkot ako.  Walang kids on a 1st birthday except the celebrant?

If I bring the kids, wala silang entertainment because I am assuming that walang host, games, balloons, etc.  I'm wondering why adult affair eh marami namang friends and relatives ang parents ng celebrant na may mga kids.

^^I think you can still bring your kids, it doesn't mean hwag dalhin ang kids, but not to expect that there'll be games, hosting, clowns etc kaya they stated adult affair... it could be a formal dinner/lunch celebration.

marose: Baka naisip ng parents why spend so much for the games, prizes, clowns, shows,colorful set-up, kung hindi naman mag eenjoy ang celebrant, too young to appreciate those things. Minsan naiisip ko din yun hehe
Anyway, [textspeak!] not bring coloring books (crafts) for your kids para di ma bored.

I'm not going to bring my kids kasi unang-una, nakalagay adult affair, baka sabihin di ako nakakaintindi.  Pangalawa, the invite was addressed to me and my husband lang (no mention of my kids).  Para maging proper, iwan ko na lang kids with the yaya sa house.  A few hours lang naman kami mawawala ni hubby. Kasi, if formal lunch nga yon (note: 12-3 pm ang time, di ba ang kiddie parties usually 3-6 pm), baka walang lugar para sa mga bata.
